Sounds like they broke it. Sorry that sucks I hate not having things up in running order, I do all my own repairs that I can or have someone I know do them that knows there stuff. I brought my backhoe to deer for a warranty 3rd function value the guy( certified deer mechanic ) didn't label the hydro hoses and me like you was looking in and saw the loader not working. I ended up going in and hooking back up all the backwards hydro hoses myself in there shop with the guy watching. Sometimes you gotta wonder what deer certified or licensed really means. Or I've heard people say that's it's a play to get more money by doing more work and selling more parts, usually to unknowingly people. I hope you get it back in time. We'll be waiting on pt2
bill you know, like you always say "its better sometimes to do it yourself". Can you buy those rebuild kits for that cylinder? So that next time you have a cylinder to go bad you can do it yourself. Great video bill. Your an awesome dude man. Been watching you for years man. Take care
with the tractor off take off the cylindery hose at the bottom (close) end of the cylinder, then push the valve into extension and shoot compressed air into the open cylinder port to extend the rod and drain the oil remove the hose at the other end and shoot compressed air into the outer end of the cylinder.
Rebuild it yourself, it's really simple and you'll save a ton of money. The only time I use a cylinder bench is on a big cylinder not these little ones. I'm sure you could do it without a problem! Give it a try next time
The way you describe the guy working on it he definitely broke it. Like you said they have that thing you slide over the rings so they don't get caught on the groove while you take it apart.
Bills I am surprised you don't have either a pulley system hanging off the rafters in the garage or a winch to make your life easier in this kind of scenarios.
just check the cylinder for bypass. extend all the way, remove the hose on the return side and pressure it out.. if oil streams out, the piston is leaking. Short of that its a relief valve.
Didn't you get a new curl cylinder in adition to rebuild the old one?? Is the curl cylinder different from the crowd cylinder or could you have used the rebuildt curl cylinder in place of the crowd cylinder?
BILLSTMAXX not only that... How would it break anyway? Plastic doesn't degrade in oil, theres no real heat, no oxygen, no real friction. Plus if he was swinging on the rod, i'm guessing that was directly impacting the end of the cylinder?
You are lucky to have witness it. I'm wondering how much stuff they brake (un)intentionally and charging it to customers. I'd refuse the invoice if I were in your position.
It feels that the 110 TLB is not trustworthy anymore. It doesnt feel safe anymore. I think the cemetery have made a bad decision not replacing the 110 TLB. I guess there will be more brakedowns and parts replacing and spend much time on it that you dont have. Downtime isnt an option. What are the alternatives if you dont get the cylinder in time? Rent a machine? Manually handdigging?
if you want a job done properly ya have to do it yourself because so called skilled /qualified operaters have it on paper but otherwise don't have a clue.
Through experience with "licensed mechanics" all the license shows is that an individual knows how to read and write; I've had experiences like that recently and I refuse to go back to the business because of that; and the service manager acted like that's how its made so that's the way it's done I was NOOOO I know more than you and your "mechanics" know

That sucks! Well good luck tomorrow 👍👍👍
You could use the mini ex to lift that cylinder back in place, keep it nice and steady for re-assembly ;)

John Deere uses flat face o ring fittings. You can buy cap and plug kits to cap the lines while you repair the cylinder

FYI on hyd hoses , use a rubber glove stuff each hose in a finger cut off a glove , it stops the pissing issue lol
The key to putting the piston back into the tube is lots of grease (preferably synthetic Kendall l427 blue) and a big 5-10 lb deadblow hammer.
Fantastic video! When's part 2?
i enjoyed the video bill thank you
Another cylinder that doesn't sound cheap
Bills I am surprised you don't have either a pulley system hanging off the rafters in the garage or a winch to make your life easier in this kind of scenarios.
as to rebuilding you cylinder i have found it cheeper to have some one to rebuild it.
Once the imple meant is shut off push the hydro lick levers forward and back and it relieves the pressure off the cyclinders
Over head cranes is how they do it in the factory. It's also how we do it in the shop
that mark on the oil measure the thing was for your air compressor oil
put a blade type battery disconnect on boaris , that will stop the battery issue in short order
you can buy the whole kites for the cylinder
Time for new backhoe bill
This kind of thing happens all the time. That's why I won't take my stuff anywhere to get fixed. I buy the tools so that I can do the work myself.

I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure you'd have noticed if that ring was broken. Definitely sounds like he broke it.
thats what i thought

Hello bill
That sounds like a bummer, the mechanic did not sound up to the job :-(.
i think you should get a loader for the 2032r
yes it does my dad has a 2032r with a loader
overnite usually means it'll be here in a couple of days.
not all "certified" mechanics are created equal
$4200 for that damn cylinder, I know JD is cracked out but still... damn
why don't you ask the poeple not to die , untell you get the back hole repair lol
Hi !!
Hi Paul..

Manually handdigging?
Why dont you lift it up with the Mini ex ?
just the cylinder itself can't be too heavy for the mini ex if even Bill can lift it up by hand
Could the cemetery not hire an Ex for grave digging when the 110 is down?
Use the mini ex for the funeral hole
if you want a job doing right do it yourself lol there is only going to be 1 person that cares enough about your stuff and its you
Boaris sure doesn't have many electrical systems, so it should be easy as proverbial pie to find the parasitic draw!
As long the backhoe is hooked up to the tractor it shouldn't move
are you going to play fs17
he probably made more damage than what it already was
Bill why have you had to rebuild the cylinder on the 110 twice
this is the crowd cylinder. we did the bucket curl cylinder first
BILLSTMAXX oh ok just curious how old is the 110tlb
2005
Charles Jones ok thanks
Michael Mac Tavish thanks
A trainee mechanic don't cha no.
drive fast i know some people that can make 50min drive in 15mins haha
bill when/if you are getting a new camera get one with night vision mode
If you really wanted to be lazy you could have used the mini ex to pull the cylinder out and back in
That Oil looks like used Motor oil.
if you want a job done properly ya have to do it yourself because so called skilled /qualified operaters have it on paper but otherwise don't have a clue.
MINI EX WILL PICK UP MORE THAN YOU.
