My Apologies for releasing this video in November
This was a fishing trip during my holiday visit to South Africa in July 2023. Winklespruit is one of my favourite beaches on the Kwazulu Natal Coastline.
I was hoping to see sardine netting but unfortunately there was no sardines around , however many anglers and holiday makers got in on the shad action . One lucky angler put out a live shad and got a nice Garrick .
I was with my buddies
Angler Neil and Angler Tyrone who also got in on the action .
Hope to return to his spot again in July 2024 .

Sure , I find the two best ones for shad are
1. Gold falcon spoon 33g
2. Toby silver .
They both work very well , but my favorite is the gold falcon .

Yes guys we understand close season, just like how we understand load shedding. We fish the entire Year and we don't catch every trip yet we spend 1000$ of rands , I understand to conserve the environment I wish we realized that years ago not now when everything is already done for. Stop complaining find something the divert your attention brother.
