We are in the process of migrating our Asset Management into JSM and feel that using Statuspage is possibly conducive to monitoring issues without having to rely on reporting?
With the new Operations functionality released this summer, you can have both with very little effort. You can monitor services and get them as Alerts that are then pushed to JSM based on certain rules you define. Then you can create and work with Incidents in Statuspage directly from within the JSM ticket. You can also direct alerts to Statuspage directly if you want, but I prefer some triage before I publish things ;)
