Your mixing of neurographic art, tangles and so much more is amazing. Great style and your voice is so soothing. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. You are an inspiration!
My pleasure, and thank you right back at you. The freedom your technique offers for moment-by-moment creative inspiration has ignited a fire under me that I've been looking for my entire life. It's like you've handed me the keys to my own kingdom and I can already tell that this is and will forever be a way of life for me from now on. I can't wait to see what you'll do next.
Once again, I learned super useful stuff from your video. I really wanted to see how you did the sphere with the arches or scales or whatever you call them and how you got so much dimension. I am definitely going to give that one to go! You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for offering your gifts to the world. By the way, yes it is called burnishing. And your shadows are fantastic. Totally correct and add such great dimension.
I absolutely love your use of the shading in these sort of artwork with not only (black) ink but also graphite or colored pencils. I’ve recently started doing these when I lost my father about a month ago. During his last months, from his diagnosis of ALS up to his death 6 months later (his case was a very aggressive steep decline) I was doing watercolor and mixed media sort of urban sketching/still lives (not “en air plain” but indoors, scenes and objects mostly). But I had gave it my all to be with my dad (and am so blessed that we had such a deep quality connection, that afterwards there are no regrets and nothing left unspoken, that’s golden ❤) but all my energy was spent 20 times over. So I started doing these kind of pages with 1 black (brush) pen. And although I don’t have expectations with my drawings and doodles, after seeing yours, mine look really flat lol I really love these so thank you, I’m going to add a color or 2, or maybe 10 since I have the tendency to jump between unfinished pages/skechbooks lol
Dear Miss Betsy, I have just discovered your channel and I am in love 🥰😊. Have just subscribed for ALL notifications from you channel! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with us! I look forward to all your videos! With your guidance, I have just created something so beautiful…as you said in previous videos, “ It is all you!” “You are to blame for what ends up on your paper!” So true!!!😘. Thank you for inspiring us all…🙏🏽💖
Thank You for your videos-I just discovered them !! I’ve been watching a lot of zentangle video instructions but I like going beyond just zentangling. So thank you!! Love your work!!❤
This was so enjoyable & relaxing to watch and your drawing is beautiful !! I Thank you for sharing some tips for creating depth - I can’t wait to try them out.
I really appreciate your videos. I've learned so much and your style matches my vision, so learn your examples is helping me create my voice in pen and paper form.
Beautiful piece, I love it and it was so interesting to hear about your thought process while you're working, very inspiring! Thank you for the inspiration, new subscriber! :)
Oh my goodness, tyvm for this one! Your technique’s are so very helpful to me, especially to achieve the shapes with depth of receding objects juxtaposed with the objects that you want to come into the forefront, and causing our eyes to perceive the one dimensional paper as shaped and/or rounded objects. Just brilliant! I will definitely be using this video often for reminding myself how to achieve the look’s I’m going after. I’m beginning to understand the technical side of the back and forth flow of the pen and how I can get those simple lines to look like hair, water and anything that has movement 💜🌻
This was beautiful and entertaining to watch. I love your other more intricate work showing in the thumbnails. I’ll be watching when I need to completely relax. Thank you for sharing.❤
This is just fabulous, Betsi! I particularly love the dramatic depths, texture and intensity you create. What an amazing mathematical - and graphic - brain you have... 🖤🤍
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you draw, especially listening to you explain what you were doing and why. I have just subscribed and know I will enjoy watching many, many more of your videos. Thank you!
Betsi I have come back twice….subscribed of course! I DReAM to achieve what you have on these two pages! I am convinced I need graphite for blending now because I couldn’t figure it out before and I also to take some risks!!!! Thanks for sharing your secrets!
I'm so glad I found your channel a few days ago. I know the Stitch you're talking about in crochet. It's the loop Stitch.❤ I've used it to make an accent pillow.
I love your style, your teaching method, your willingness to share your techniques. I'm a new subscriber and just starting to fall down this rabbit hole! I'll be watching more of your videos, for sure! Thank you!❤
This was great to watch and see how you add shading, and blend colours, plus the simple but effective use of guidelines/contours whilst covering larger areas. Loved the final result, and you also have an adorable cat🥰💜💫
Thank you for this video. Your explanations are very helpful. You also have a lovely voice which makes listening to you. I look forward to more of your idiosyncratic work...very inspiring.
@@betsi_jae hi Betsi, Yes you do a very fine job of explaining your style and technique. Teaching is not the easiest thing to do. I am a retired professional artist and teacher. Now my creative activities are strictly for pleasure, relaxation, and mental stimulation. Drawing offers so many possibilities...they are truly endless. Abstract/non-objective patterns and designs have always been the most challenging and rewarding to me. Your work is a new and exciting approach i am so interested in exploring. Thank you for your videos. Best regards, Susan, North Carolina USA
This is interesting and inspiring to me, since I hurt the thumb on my right (dominant) hand months ago and now can barely draw or write with that hand. I think I can do this! I've always loved doodling and shading (Prismacolors are my favorite pencils) and Zentangle is a hobby I did years ago but something (probably woodworking) took precedence. I need to get back to drawing. Thanks for the push!
I love this page!! I love the pens as well and I just "killed" my first one in about a 2 week span!! The amount you get for the price point is awesome, far exceeds some of the fancier pens!!!
Thank you. So relaxing in its self. I am not able to draw as I did once but this is so enjoyable especially as you don't go on about use this item its the best etcetc. ❤

Welcome! And thanks for subbing 💜. I'm glad you enjoy hearing me discuss the thought process. As for the pens, I'm the same way 😊. Now I'm trying to figure out something interesting to do with all the empty barrels.
I love your work it's really pretty and it is dark but it's gorgeous that way the contrast is beautiful I was wondering the main pain that you're using puts out a lot of ink and that's what I like and I'm looking for a pen that does that where I can buy one fan and not have to switch back and forth between pens I hope it's in the description
