You don't really get an impression of the speed they do. If your heart can stand the tension, watch the chin camera footage of Peter Hickman smashing his own 2018 lap record in 2023, his new record is 136.352mph, with him being speed trapped at 210mph on Sulby Straight. See "Peter Hickman, fastest ever lap"..
To any motorcyclist, the Isle of Man is Holy Ground
I've been to the Isle of man a few times now, and it's 2 weeks of pure awesomeness. Nothing like it. The average speed is ruffly 130 mph and the maximum speeds they reach can be 200+ mph.
He was very lucky he came off in the countryside. It's when you crash in the town that it's usually over. Kerbs, walls, buildings and other people.
37 mile course of pure adrenaline rush these guys have balls of steel
I did see a crash where the bike and the rider smacked right into the wall , he was dead instantly , If they enjoy what they do , Then let them .They have the expertise and excel what they enjoy .
Many die on the mountains climbing them , it is their hobby .
I believe the bike developed a fault
@@user-yu9uw8wo9o If you are talking about the head on building crash , no the wall was painted white , with a bt telephone box which was green or black , he could have had ample of time to see the building and slow down before to make the turn to the left his brakes were fine .
Sometimes a white building can confuse you the sun was at the back of him .
If you talking about the biker in the video he was turning on a corner and his back wheel slipped on a cats eye losing grip of the surface .
It was Bob Price, and his bike's throttle was jammed open so he couldn't stop (The rider that died)
@@BarackOLlama4 The throttle was briefly jammed in the worst possible place, coming over the hump of a small bridge that unloaded the bike. He didn't have traction to do anything but go straight in.
@@BarackOLlama4 that his name thanks.
I was watching for years: I was a biker and then got involved with racing through a chance meet up. First time to the TT I was shocked at the pure speed. Bikes passing just sucked the air out of my lungs it was that quick,
Thanks for the reaction..
The 1st time I saw this it made me feel ill 😮
❤ from Northeast England ❤️
I told my woman that one of my bucket list things is to do the Isle of Man on my Cervelo and one as a sidecar rider. She said yes for the Cervelo.......no and never and make sure she never sees me again if I survive the sidecar. Since she is the best thing to ever happen to me I agreed. While she vacations with her family on The Isle of Wight ( if it's not too dear ) I get my sidecar on !!!!!!!
For a Spaniard to call some of our activities," Crazy.... Insane," is quite an accolade for us. Anyone that has seen ( or rather, heard ) a Mascleta during almost any Spanish Festival will know what I mean.
There`s great piece of music that fits well with the TT and it`s called ( I think " Faster and Faster ) put together by an Antipodean lass. Typing into UA-cam " TT - Faster and Faster" may yield some results in finding the video. It `s well worth the time.
You need to watch the isle of man tt TOP speed moments to do it justice 🔥
Motorcycles are not for everyone.
Nice channel. Good luck.
It's the Isle of Man (it's Celtic, not English). Having an American describe this is probably not a good idea........
The title is a play on words. You hear the narrator say it correctly in the video.
TT Isle Of Man Motorcycle Race - The Greatest Show On Earth" Takealook at this one. no crashes
Great reaction you should watch the other links on the ISLE OF MAN TT race
Hello, the following video does not have the Connor Cummins crash, nor any others as I recall. It is a more inspirational video because of it's soundtrack. UA-cam video: Isle of Man TT - The greatest motor sport on the planet
My favorite video is of a fellow that is riding a recreation of a 1965 Honda 250 c.c. Bike. He is passed by the 1000 c.c. and 600 c.c. Bikes. His top speed is about 152 m.p.h. The other bikes can top 200 m.p.h. UA-cam video: CLASSIC TT PARADE 2015 HONDA RC162
There is nothing in the world to match the TT it is outstanding,,the racers are at the top of there game and with out doubt the elite of motor racing
We're hardwired to race. We still have foot races today, only they are carefully regulated. Except for neighborhood kids racing each other. We've raced every method of movement we've come up with. In the process we've dramatically improved them. Reno Air Races is another high risk motorsport worth a watch. Skip videos from 2011 & Galloping Ghost. I am of the opinion that you have to see these in person to fully appreciate them. The sounds machines can make.
Hiya. You should watch the on board footage. Crazy!
climbing in Yosemite without a rope... sooner or later . I ride a M'cycle - one night going 60 mph down 4 lane divided , just waiting fore exit, totally routine. the car in front of me started to slow, I started to slow. next thing I know the road is wearing a couple layers out of my helmet. and hiking boots. I have no idea what happened, it was just 60 mph totally routine, then bouncing down the road. Stuff happens.
You are very cute and your reactions to the video were genuine. Motorcycle racing is not for everyone but for the men and women that do it, it's everything.
Go right now to Peter Hickman fastest TT lap onboard camera. Gives you a taste. I'm a biker, but these guys are top, top drawer.
A top MotoGP Racer took part in a slow demonstration lap of the Isle of Man TT and stated just nope, I'm not that insane.
I've seen a comment staring that "they thought that the Star Wars Pod Racing was inspired by the Isle of Man TT races.
I also heard a reactor state that they thought "The Isle of Man TT Races was the inspiration for George Lucas to do the Pod Races".
One of the Dumlops (Micheal I think, correct me if I'm wrong) stated on the Isle of Man TT you have a grey blur and two green blurs, you try to stay on the grey blur.
It was his uncle, the late, great Joey Dunlop..."There is a grey blur, and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey one...”
@@stevetrawley3521 Thanks, much appreciated
Spanish Girl , You are Beautiful ❤
I honestly don't know how any of them can do this!
I have said it before and I will say it again. Every rider has the balls of steel, the size of Footballs.
The ladies don’t need any sort of balls.
Much love from the states little lady ❤
New sub.
Fastest speed recorded 218 mph, the race is a time trial so the fastest wins, they set off at 10 second intervals, it takes place on the Isle of Man between England and Ireland, last week of May first week of June, 1st week is practice 2nd week is racing, the prize money is not massive, none of the riders are mad or crazy they have total focus on what they do and have massive respect for other riders and the coarse, Bienvenido a Englatera, salud dinero y mucho suerte a ti, Peter In UK.
They don’t win much, it is all about the prestige. 🇬🇧
Yep! Because winning that believe you are the man! Fricking unreal levels of skill and balls.
Why do they do that:
Immortality..
And to truly feel alive.
Just remember that these guys live for this, and if they die atleast they died doing what they truly love
Back in the early 1970's a Triumph averaged 100 MPH hence the T100R bike.
Now the top average speeds are 130MPH + .
These guys do it because they love to do it.
But you no longer see contracted formula Moto GP bike rider's doing it.
Street racing is the epitomy of motorcycle racing.
The isle of man tt is the best 👌
You my girl are in for a treat. There is nothing in this world like the TT. They race to about 200/230 mph. Wahoo!
you have never seen the NW200 or the UGP then?
This is a "time-trial" race.. Like a rally.
That means, they (pilots) are not competing for position-on-track. They compete for the fastest lap. At the end of the competition, the team/pilot with the fastest lap wins.
And that's it.
Yes but there is also the Irish Road Racing series were they have mass starts and do fight for track position.
That's not true, the race is depending on class, either 4 or 6 laps, you can set the fastest lap time ever, but if you break-down before you've done the full distance.....You lose.
@@nicksykes4575Arn’t the sidecars run over 3 laps.
@@davecooper3238 It's always been 4 to my knowledge.
The only thing i will tell anyone planning on going to the Isle of Man, is do not plan and just go. Myself and many of my friends had spoken of going there for years and when we finally got there our collective thoughts were why the hell did we not get off our arses and get here before now. It's extremely addictive, plus a beautiful island offering many things to do other than the bike racing, and the people are super friendly. I have been over there 40+ plus times and once for the Post TT in September. One other thing on the Island your money is good anywhere and welcomed. Never once seen any trouble there either and i have met many bikers from many countries, all with the same frame of mind. Don't talk about it but just go, you will never regret it.
Lose control of a motorbike at 200 MPH and your chances of survival are not good
Stood in the Sulby Glen Hotel frontage with just a rope protecting us from near 200mph heros, waiting for Joey, shall never forget.
Isle of Man!
You didn’t even see the jumps!
TE AMO MUCHO
You don't have to be mad to enter the TT races, but it helps.
PAMPLONA IS DANGEROUS PETER HICKMAN HOLD MY BEER 😂
These riders are far more special that 1/1,000…. They are 1/1,000,000+
Make Group B rally reaction😂
There are films out there that show helicopters cant keep up with the riders at 200mph, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner takes off at 160mph
They want to be the best in the world.
try TT fastest lap chin camera
The isle of MEN was either a spelling mistake or pure genius
Just in case you didn't know, the isle of man is between Ireland and England.
❤👍
The TT races on the Isle of Man have had only 1 year when nobody was killed in it's 107 yr history
Ah speech to text..."fruits of me livers..." Fruits of (me) my labours...
"labours" i.e. the results of my hard work. A labourer is someone who labours, i.e. does manual works.
@@stevetrawley3521 Autocorrect 🤣
@@kimn9802 I have that problem with the MS Word Spillchucker 😄
"What did they do that" hmm Why not ^^
Nice reaction thank you, if you liked this video check out sidecar racing its all done on the isle of man for 2 weeks on the last week of may and the 1st week of June.
You need to watch the isle of man tt top speed moments to do it justice
It's not the Isle Of Men, It's Isle Of Man
I like watching your reaction but i think you should do a bit of search on things before you do a reaction on some things
At least the local council have filled in the pot holes.
Only on the tt course. The rest of the roads are shite
Everyone has posted what I would have said to you..!!! So I'll just agree with all of the above and all the below. DO MORE TT.!!!! IT'S AWESOME.!!!!❤❤❤!🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
SUBBING TO CHECK YOU OUT.❤❤️👌✌️👍😁🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
Ppl who are plumbers for entire year ride there for a week. Any motogp pro racer would shit pants here for reference. Its not about money its about being the best rider. That worth millions of motogp cups for them. 1 week till next race so try watch it :)
It is its own thing now, you take the chance you run the risk! But boy do you have one finger up if it all goes wrong!!??
its own thing?
Yes people die, the title is literally the world's deadliest motorcycle race, you don't get that title without a lot of death.
Don't worry, it's not real.
You can't duck that far down with,
BALL's that BIG
God made TT racers so Astronauts would have someone to look up to.
Well, that Rider Connor was in the dispute, Michael Dunlop.... Dunlop Family.. the legends of TT...
The true Legend Joey Dunlop, Michael Uncle.... Die Racing TT.. Until Now he have the wins record... (but maybe this year, Michael can take his trone out...
His Father, Robert Dunlop Die Racing TT.....
His Brother Wlliam Dunlop Die as well doing what they love....
So Michael Dunlop, the las alive Dunlop Riders.. Honor their legacy for Sure.. winning and winning, yesr after year, carring on his shoulders the deaths of his kind.... but he never quit.. and now 2024 Michael is out there, trying to have more wins than his uncle, and they just started.... Monday of this week.... and again, more deaths coming
Może coś z Twojego podwórka... Co myślisz o corrida??? Skąd to ekstaza na widok strasznie przerażonych, okaleczonych, cierpiących, zabijanych zwierząt?????
If you're not afraid you're not going fast enough
Jenny Tinmouth is the first and only female to have raced in the British Superbike Championship, she is the female lap record holder at the Isle of Man TT at 119.945mph and is proud to hold two Guinness World Records for these achievements.
Una cosa como consejo si el título del canal es referido a ti como Española sería mejor poner " Spaniard" que " Spanish" ya que es algo más global y no tan centrado sino eres de España es correcto ; saludos
Lmao yt subtitles saying anything but what they really say 🤣🤣...
you obviously need to get out of the house a little more ...
Show the racing - NOT your face.
It's the Isle of Man. I'm NOT watching your video.
How unlucky is she to see a comment from you, the only person on our Planet, who has never made a mistake. I am in awe of you..
The title of the video she is watching is ‘Isle of Men’ - it’s a play on words, you see…
Correct about where it is. The actual title of the video reacted to started Isle of Men.
Maybe stop taking the stupid pills?
@@AnsonWight Or,as I have seen on another reaction,a mistake....:)
also they say there is over 240 deaths which is a lot but boxing has over 600 deaths base jumping is getting up there so they can not stop these things
140
It's not actually a 'race'...it is a Time Trial to see who has the fastest Lap Time - on aggregate if there happens to be two riders who end up with the same course time!...
Fastest race time takes the win. Lap times are for bragging rights
