I did find the reason of why some trucks have gaps with addons. For almost every truck, Saber puts all of their exhaust options into 1 socket. This means they have to place the addons based the exhaust that takes up the most space on the frame. It doesn't have to be like that though. You can separate exhausts into separate sockets. The Warthog does this for its exhausts that are attached to the cab. They do this to block the maintainer body when a cabin exhaust is attached. Now if you did this for the 49X, HX520, W990, and Grad, you could move the addons closer to the cab and get rid of that empty space. If a big exhaust is installed, it would shift those addons back in the same manner as installing a crane with a bed.
Yes, Most likely there always would be a reason behind things but I think if devs put their mind to fix these bugs, they can...They already fixed that crane issue with Tatra Phoenix...it had similar clipping issues with crane just like Azov 5319
I wish the tire tread pattern in mud/dirt would always match the tires that are on the truck. A lot of times its different if you change tires from stock.
I've got over 1k hours into snowrunner alone and my biggest issue is how the trucks treat rocks like ice blocks. There is seemingly no traction on rocks unless you catch the lip of it or have the momentum to get the fronts over.

The Bandit's fuel tank is located between the frame, under the rear of the cab. Also the BOAR doesn't get heavier with UODs, OHDs weigh more than UODs and for some reason heavier tires make truck suspension firmer. The OHDs just handles the weight better without compressing and so it sits higher.

There are even exceptions to the jerry cans - IIRC, Kenworth W900's roofrack and Loadstar's pickup bed both have more fuel than the jerry cans would indicate. Whats weird about the log crane lights is that all the big cranes have working lights so I feel like its more of an oversight rather than them not being able to figure it out
Also at 7:33 weirdly enough some trucks do get the couplers when attached to certain trailers, or at least the ct680 does when attached to the flatbed semi trailer I'm not sure if any others do
I would've belived that but since the days of Mudrunner they're like that...I mean MR also had russian cranes from spintires and those work fine but the cranes which saber themselves build for American wilds didn't had working lights...Its same in SR which leads me to belive it's something they're stuggling with...I could be wrong though.
@SD1ONE but even the newer super heavy crane they added for some trucks has working lights, there's no way it's that much more complicated to add working lights to the little log crane
7:39 if you look closely at the add-on, you’ll see it’s built like a water tank because it has sprayers along the back and one on the front that looks like it can aim.
7:08 I think, maz 7130(zikz 612h)is also missing fuel tanks. Also on low graphics in the night light from the lamps sometimes goes through buildings. Like you videos a lot!
@@SD1ONEI have checked, there's no tank behind the cabin in game, there's service kit.// However, most of the real life trucks have 2 tanks between 2 and 3 axles(in addition to what You mentioned)
7:49 Cat 745’s fuel tank is in the nose. There is a little door in front of the front left wheel where you fill it up. 2:55 saddle height refers to where the fifth wheel is on the truck. Not necessarily the heights. A “high” saddle moves the fifth wheel forward to put weight on the steering axle(s) to improve maneuverability over rough terrain or to distribute the weight better to make the truck legal.
Regarding saddle...It's just weird IMO that most trucks uses different saddle model for high & low but these few trucks uses same model for both...In the end its a game and by having different saddle designs, its easier to tell what type of trailer its going to attach.
With the increased front height on the Boar with OHD's...thats not a bug. Its due to the tires' weight. OHD are 300kg or 350kg...the others are 200 or 250kg. Tire weight affects suspension ride height and strength too. Its weird, but is what it is.
the clipping suspension is present on almost every vehicle especially once you install wider tires, this is especially true for tayga tires. but it gets worse, some suspensions are completely fucked from the beginning, for example the derry 3194 front suspension is collapsed and clips into the frame by default and the front wheels are ridiculously far tucked in (just compare the ingame vanilla front axle with some pics online of the oshkosh m911 which is what the derry is based on and you see what I mean), I fixed it myself by just changing some values for suspension height and stiffness and track width and suddenly the old derry performs better than ever and even looks good. most of these things from the video can be fixed by just changing some values or adding a line of code (like the worklights of the log crane) to the xml files, which literally everyone can do with a text editor. there are some great mods out there which only change some values in the xml files and make a huge difference, like realistic fuel capacities.
I must point out you didn’t make a comment I hoped you would. Unnecessary barricades. There are barricades at busted pipeline spots or rock slides. After the mission to clean them is finished the barricades still spawn and end up damaging the vehicle when you go through them, even though the road is clear.
Hah! About saddle I could do a wild guess! Some developer might have said: "why bother with trailer based offset, lets do two different saddles instead". Lights on the crane, mismatched spares also irk my eyes. But something I've mentioned in one of the discussions with you, is how badly devs align things. There are literally gaps where there are not supposed to be, including saddle sizes in relevance to frame they are on (yes, Mastodon, I am looking at you).
I think they rushed the game for launch and that's why there're so many things that looks unfinished specially in base game trucks....I mean that's fine but it's been 4 years and many of these things are still the way they were at release
For some trucks different tires change the suspension stiffness, resulting in a higher ride hight, it actually sucks for some vehicles because it makes them tip way easier ( this happens on the crocodile, zigzag 5368, and the reverse happens on the tatra 805, just to name a few I know off hand, all these ones happen with the AMHS I tires)
The fuel tank capacities and spare tires drive me crazy. The fuel tank capacities should be a customizable option that are more accurate instead of starving the trucks for fuel. Yes, you could argue that it was once for balancing, but not anymore. We now have plenty of behemoth trucks that have more power and well over 100 gallons of fuel. The spare tires are purely esthetic as well but matching spare tire would be a huge plus. Something else I could add to the video would be an option for turning off the day and night cycle. I think the game only has 11 minutes of actual clear daylight at a time. That's ridiculous. There needs to be a way to either turn off day/night cycles or extend both at the very least.
Yeah those loading screens are still not changed but still these are minor things nonetheless....I think crane lights issue should be first priority before any of this.
Most of these I never noticed (but I sure will now). The mismatched spare tire has always irked me. Same with the missing airlines connecting the truck to the trailer. Another thing that bugs me is that the release handle for the fifth wheels are all on the right (passenger) side. I don’t know if it is like that on the other side of the world, but every truck I have ever seen or driven here in Canada has the release handle on the driver’s side.
There's also things like the DPF on the right side of the Freightliner 114SD being used as a fuel tank, or the fuel and hydraulic tanks having their roles reversed on the K-700.
Yeah, there're a lot of such minor inconsistencies compared to real life vehicles...I think its because the team is bigger now and not all people are very passionate or knowlegeble on the subject they're working on...In old games, the team was small & they know their trucks very well...I saw videos of Spintires devs recording sounds & other details on real life trucks...I mean that's why attention to detail was top notch in old games.
Paystar also has incorrect snorkels. Instead of attaching to the engine intake (the round cutout on the left side of the hood), they attach to a cabin air intake (the rectangular plates on both sides of the hood).
Fuel tanks are something special for the devs. All games had wrong capacity and that can be fixed so easily, it's their specialty to make it like that. For example Ural 4320 in Spintires had 375L comressed in one fuel tank with size of zil 130 which had only 170L.
@@SD1ONE Actually i meant it is the same way as Snowrunner, and in Spintires things are easy to fix, so if they made it wrong it was intentional or they googled it and just copy/paste.
I notice a lot of little detail like this all the time. The only one that really bugs me, because it affects game play, is how bouncy all the vehicles are. You get the Royal BM17 off-road truck when you get to Alaska. It’s a decent truck for that stage in the game. It just acts like a 20,000lb bouncy ball while driving down a trail. I don’t remember any MR vehicles doing that. My wife asked me the other day, “why is there a house in the middle of a river?” She has a valid point. Terrain is very natural looking but unrealistic. It’s all easily over looked because when it comes to distances, alternate directions that’s where the game shines. It’s incredibly well balanced. You can go the long way or take 2 shorter way of varying difficulty. One you likely can’t take large loads down at all. It’s this balancing that makes the game so enjoyable for most people. It keeps you thinking rather than blindly driving from point a to b.
Yes, the weight of trucks is been an issue in SR from start...Regarding houses, etc stuff...I think the deserted feel of old games maps is what suits this series the best because In SR there're cool buildings and all but there's no trace of life...It's like ghost town..like Thanos snapped his fingers and all life vanished.
Idk how old the bm 17 would be, but many older trucks irl and even ingame were and are naturally bouncy and springy. I think the main problem regarding that is just how rough even paved roads are ingame compared to real life, especially when youre hitting bumps that amplify the bounce, instead of letting it dampen back to normal.
@@SD1ONE I agree. That’s a good way to put it. It’s very post apocalyptic. Obviously there are people you never see but for the most part it feels like you’re working in a dessert area that’s been abandoned. Adds mystery to it. The terrain does look very natural. It’s just some things seem out of place when you think about it. I grew up in the mountains off-roading my entire life. I also built a lot of houses IRL. I tend to over think where things like houses are placed in the game. Some location really makes you wonder. Like the dam in Michigan there is a house on the river but there is also the house in the middle of the flooded field. Bet that had never flooded before, until one day it did and had to be abandoned. MR runner had much better physics IMO. It was a lot more fun do drive around rock crawlers in that game. You could watch the suspension flex. SR is just bouncy. It definitely does seem like it’s a weight issue. Trucks drive like they’re heave but bounce like RC cars.
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 I agree that a lot of big truck can be bouncy. If you’ve ever compared the physics in MudRunner to SR then you might get a better idea of what I mean. The physics is much better in MR. I loved using rock crawlers in MR. You can watch the suspension flex with every bump. SR vehicles just bounce around. Not all but most do. I hate using the Scout 800. Every person I’ve seen play the game rolls the 800 before they can get it down the hill from where you find it. Big heavy trucks drive like they’re heavy but act like lightweight RC cars when they hit a small bump. I think there could be a better balance between MR and SR and the game would feel better.
Saber's logic is simple and it's been working for 4 years (why change anything if it's already making money) So don't expect a wow! effect from Saber, they're not capable of that 😂 The same Expedition is a stupidly remade Snow Runner for a full price Their last hope is Road Craft, if they don't do that properly, it will be a failure for such a big company.
It always bugged me that they linked trailers to specific saddle heights. A fifth wheel is a fifth wheel. It doesn't matter how high the mount is, you can still hook a trailer with it. The only reason to use a higher mount is to get more clearance. So it's even more ridiculous when they have both saddles at the same height and placement on some trucks. Not having sliding fifth wheels is also really bloody annoying.
I think they should remove high sadle from those highways, etc truck...nobody is going to use them for hauling heavy trailers anyway and why give everything to every truck in game.
i want a mod that recalculates all fuel capacities from their actual modelled size. would completely unbalance the game and would ruin scout fuel carriers but would be more realistic
Hello I am sure you can find more. I am waiting for part 2 and 3 Tanker and fuel tank capcity is Ridiculous. 5 ×2×2 meter tank are 2000liter. Atleast should be 15000to 20000l and another tanker with smaller size is 2000l too. I wish the add hazard light and indicator light i know it is off road game not city driving game but hazard light could be good for emergency and add realistic thing to game.
I played mud runner, spintyres and snowrunner for a long time and buy a lot of dlcs, because i belive they deserve it, but after some time i belive they got lazy and it was always more of the same and the old ever lasting issues get forgoten and never fixed, so i give up and unistalled the game…. This game as the potential to become a huge best seller but i belive that gredd is starting to get the upper hand……
The add-on gaps and fuel tank sizes (for balance, I get it) really irritate me though, especially on the Azov 5319. Apart from balance I also don't see why all trucks can't get all tyres.
Honestly, All trucks getting all tires would really make a lot of mess in tire section of garage...I think tire types should be reduced per trucks and should be diveded among different truck classes.
@@SD1ONE Not only that, but make drop down subcatagories for tire type. I and many console players have likely spent many total real life hours just scrolling through tires because of how long it lags between each tire loading time, and trucks like the 5600 paystar for example don't help lol
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 I still don't think its a good idea...I mean if a vehicle has offroad or Mud tires...there's little to no sense going for highway or allterrain...I am not saying highway & all terrain should exist in game but there should be less variety of such tires to reduce clutter.
@@SD1ONE Even then it would still likely take a minute or two to scroll through, despite having fewer unreliable tire options. A dropdown submenu for tire type would save having to scroll all the way through each tire and overall getting you the option you want faster. It's the biggest UI issue I have frankly. Also, wouldn't this menu style reduce clutter even more than simply having fewer tires?
I think ill just watch roadcraft shit itself like expeditions and even worse, Dakar that was absolutely awful, you'd think they'd be competent at this stage
@@SD1ONE yeah idk i can only hope sabre doesnt also nerf the us trucks on purpose again, and that the kirovets k700 sounds like it did in mudrunner, fun fact sulphur springs texas has a Kirovets dealer
All tires has effect on suspension of cars (trucks). If You look at YAR87 and its tires, You will see, that it has Scout mud tires (JAT), than YAR mud tires and heavy mudtires. Suspension is weakest with scout tires and also ride height is lowest. Suspension is stronger and ride height is bigger when You use Yar mudtires. And suspension is much stiffer and ride height is much bigger with heavy mudtires. That was also problem with Tayga tires on Tayga itself. When you use heavy mudtires everything was ok, but rear of truck dropped down when you use tayga mudtires.

7:08 I think, maz 7130(zikz 612h)is also missing fuel tanks. Also on low graphics in the night light from the lamps sometimes goes through buildings. Like you videos a lot!
It's fuel tank is behind the cabin in real life, I think that's where it is in game as well.
Snowrunner devs, get your act together!
Fuel capacity has absolutely no sense. Cat 745C fuel tank is not visible in real life too, it is in the cab area protected by iron plates.
With the increased front height on the Boar with OHD's...thats not a bug. Its due to the tires' weight. OHD are 300kg or 350kg...the others are 200 or 250kg. Tire weight affects suspension ride height and strength too. Its weird, but is what it is.
I noticed that detail about OHS tires a long time ago. Comparing to UOD tires, the suspension on trucks gets much stiffer. And it's pretty cool IMO :)
the clipping suspension is present on almost every vehicle especially once you install wider tires, this is especially true for tayga tires. but it gets worse, some suspensions are completely fucked from the beginning, for example the derry 3194 front suspension is collapsed and clips into the frame by default and the front wheels are ridiculously far tucked in (just compare the ingame vanilla front axle with some pics online of the oshkosh m911 which is what the derry is based on and you see what I mean), I fixed it myself by just changing some values for suspension height and stiffness and track width and suddenly the old derry performs better than ever and even looks good.
most of these things from the video can be fixed by just changing some values or adding a line of code (like the worklights of the log crane) to the xml files, which literally everyone can do with a text editor. there are some great mods out there which only change some values in the xml files and make a huge difference, like realistic fuel capacities.
The mismatched spare tires drives me crazy. lol And the wrong tread pattern on the ground when a tires rolls over the area.
The clipping suspension is gonna drive me insane lol
Yeah this is something for the SR devs to look at
6:35 on the note of the P16, they didn’t fix the loading screen for Drummond Island. It still has the wrong tires on that truck.
4:21 same goes with the WHITE Western Star it was a nice truck now you need mods to make it look like the original
Love you’re channel
For example Ural 4320 in Spintires had 375L comressed in one fuel tank with size of zil 130 which had only 170L.
yes old games were sensible in that regards...maz 7310 has like 800L or something
@@SD1ONE Actually i meant it is the same way as Snowrunner, and in Spintires things are easy to fix, so if they made it wrong it was intentional or they googled it and just copy/paste.
I Miss the old game...Spintires Original Game, it was so good
You should also see the mod scout vehicles, the fuel and repair capacity carried in a scout vehicle can be as much as 3 tanker trucks lol
We should keep mods aside because a mod is as accurate as their creators want them to be.
6:34 the cabin looks more square in the left picture I think
I honestly like the square cabin more, gives the truck an overall more aggressive look
Expedition was doubtful from start but Roadcraft looks promising...lets hope it do good.
DUDE ive always felt like those fuel tanks were completly wrong.. the caterpiller should be at least like 3000 litres lmao
so for the 745c fuel tank, its internal under the engine so it wouldn't be seen under normal circumstances.
That reminds me of wot, they have a lot of imaginary vehicles, but when the game started, there were only historical vehicles…
Fueltanks of the CAT 745C are in the Front of the Truck. Everything Engine relatet ist on the front Part of this Truck.
Game is ruined for me. Refunding right now. Hopefully 1000 hours won't be an issue.
6:20 the Foresters poster look is actually just a normal full red, not any of the patterns.
It has those black patterns which I don't know if you get those by putting plain paints...have to check again.
I hate the wide stance. It's probably the thing I hate the most. Especially because it was fine before! I never use the Paystar anymore because of it.
yes... paystar 5070 is one is my favourite truck but this just ruins it for me
@@SD1ONE Exactly
i want a mod that recalculates all fuel capacities from their actual modelled size. would completely unbalance the game and would ruin scout fuel carriers but would be more realistic
Hello
I am sure you can find more. I am waiting for part 2 and 3
Tanker and fuel tank capcity is Ridiculous.
5 ×2×2 meter tank are 2000liter. Atleast should be 15000to 20000l and another tanker with smaller size is 2000l too.
I wish the add hazard light and indicator light i know it is off road game not city driving game but hazard light could be good for emergency and add realistic thing to game.
you pointed out so mucj things that annoy me like the widened stance and step pike no green colour, it looks so good in taht green
they should've atleast kept those colors as extra in custom skins
4:38 at least it helps with stability… a little…
hello
first coment
a question can you make more video about 10 cars we need in gta vi or best cars in gta v?
I will as long as I can
@@SD1ONE great thinks🤩🤩🤩
hello, what are your fov settings, audio and control settings
The tank sizes isn’t a mistake ! It’s for balancing purposes
I played this game one time and the lack of NPCs is kinda disturbing, looks like the game is dead and the protagonist is just high on LSD
What map do you record on?
Maybe this is stuff they will fix in road craft
Roadcraft is completly new game from what I can tell...it's like similar jump from what we got from Mudrunner to Snowrunner.
Cat 745 fuel tanks are built into the fenders in real life
There's some other guy who says it's under engine, you're saying its in fenders...don't know who to belive.
This game never reflects reality
Laziest devs ever
А думаете разрабы учтут это, сомневаюсь, они и так игру кое как содержат
Speaking of minor mistakes, it's "saddle", not "sadle"; it's "Aramatsu Forester", not "Forestor". 😉
yeah I do that to shorten the sentences...sadle is a misspelling though
Now make a video with mods that fix all these problems
That wide stance from the JATs omg so annoying…
For me, the tire grip is completely nonsense. Asphalt or mud, don’t matter. People who have driven in mud at least once know that.
Did you report all of these bugs to developers? Or only create a film?
I think making videos is best way to report it to devs and hopefully my channel is big enough for devs to notice.
Some of this stuff has been told for years to devs, but very few things have changed as a result
2:29 What is that truck on the left?
That's like diesel variant of zil 133 which step pike is based on.
@@SD1ONE Can it be found in the game? Or is it mod?
It is in the game but I think it is dlc@@MartyKay
I think ill just watch roadcraft shit itself like expeditions and even worse, Dakar that was absolutely awful, you'd think they'd be competent at this stage
I think Roadcraft would do better than those other 2 you mentioned...Still its too early to tell
When you use heavy mudtires everything was ok, but rear of truck dropped down when you use tayga mudtires.
yes I noticed some of those
The actaeon tires are even worse than the tayga tires, the ank nearly bottoms out with them
I would prefer to buy new mudrunner dlc instead of snowrunner
Yes, I think Mudrunner remaster would've sold better than Expeditions
7:58 tutorial please
That clip is actually from PTS of season 3...It was a bug that's fixed in final release..so you can't do it now.
@@SD1ONE Ah okay. I had it sometime, that the packed long wood jumped over the trailer, thats weird to.
st mr sr same developer just diferent game engines and new team
spintires devs were different for sure...MR & SR is done by saber.
5 hour
They don't love their game. Problems are not fixed. The players are ignored. Is my last game from this publisher.
Snowrunner is such a bad game, fortunately you're here to remind us how good were SpinTires and Mudrunner.
I don't think old games were better overall but I do belive that they were in right direction and if they were developed more, they could've been better than SR but As for present day..SR is better game overall.
what the mode? I NEED IT
