Years ago, I was volunteering as security at a stadium (as a fundraiser). I needed to be at my post 30 minutes prior to the gates opening, so I had some time to kill. I didn't wait long, before I heard some great music. Turned out, Alison Krauss and Union Station were performing the National Anthem at that game and they were warming up directly below where I was standing. It was like getting my own private concert, from a balcony a couple floors above! Great experience! I was already a fan, so it was particularly nice.
I saw Alison Krauss and Union Station in Seattle just before they broke big. Jerry Douglas always blows me away on dobro. Their bus was entitled "Nobody you know". I spoke with Alison between sets, praising her fiddle playing and voice and the great band she had. She laughed when I said she was going to have to change her bus name soon. No way she and Union Station were going to be unknown any longer. Alison was great to talk to. A real gem of a lady. Love her voice and fiddle. 6 months later they had their first Grammy. What a wonderful singer and band.
Harri, you've gotta do Allison and Union Station (live again) doing Baby, Now That I Found You. She sings it beautifully, and plays her fiddle on that one as well.
Of course I could write wonderful comments about Allison Krauss and they would all be well deserved. But this video really features Jerry Douglas on the slide guitar (Dobro). He is the greatest Dobro player who ever lived and will probably ever live. Don't take my word for it. That would be the consensus of everyone in the industry or anyone who has heard him play.
I love Bluegrass music, I wish more folks would do reactions to it, the musicianship is outstanding, and some with beautiful vocals.

My FAVORITE AKUS song!
Jerry Douglas (aka Flux) on the dobro. He also fronts a bluegrass supergroup The Earls of Leicester, honoring Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs.
So much talent!
The inimitable Jerry Douglas on dobro.
The king
Saw Allison and Union Station. Band took a break and Jerry JAMMED on the dobro for 20-30 minutes. Simply the BEST!
Here in the southern part of the U.S., we call that pickin' and grinnin'.😂
Jerry Douglas is a MAN on that dobro! World's best!
Country jazz
Jerry Douglas is the goat.
His voicing on the dobro is distinct.
The sound track to Bonanza was the great studio guitarist Tommy Tedesco, of the famed Wrecking Crew.
