I made a joke on here about generations, and I said, "I guess I'm old now." Suddenly, like that hour, I started getting ads for elder care products. From a joke! It's a violation not only of privacy but of my fricking person! It's offensive and I don't care who is doing it, the eavesdropping is wrong and a violation if it's listening around a corner, through a bug, or by algorithm. It's particularly offensive that they are saying it is marketing, when that's the crappiest excuse I have ever heard for violating our right to be secure in our persons, homes, and lives.

In regards to interpreting a babies cry...I would say most mom can interpret any baby's cry, in general anyway. My kids are long grown so I don't hear much baby crying, but when I do, I can absolutely tell angry vs sleepy, hungry, bored, in pain, etc... even if I don't see them. And you can be assured that if I hear that pain cry, I immediately head on direction of that cry to see what's going on. Ladies?
Regarding the mom and baby question: when my son was a baby/toddler and he got hurt while somewhere I wasn’t, I always got this overwhelming feeling that I needed to call whomever he was with and check in. Women’s intuition is not a myth, we’ve just been trained and brain-washed to not listen to it. But those skills are instinctual and ignoring them is denying a part of ourselves, just because someone somewhere doesn’t understand. Or they do and are jealous because they’ve ignored theirs for so long that it’s not even a whisper anymore.

I never used to use the word human but have in the past few years. I am human but sometimes I say human because I am aware there are others here... whatever they are or how many species. I am also disturbed by the guy smiling while talking about children... he brought them up right after the sex remark. What he is getting to is: we want to study your children's expressions so we have a better understanding of them so we can manipulate them easier. If we look deeply into the factors that really makes us human, like being mammals and having a higher emotional range, the one major factor is higher emotional expressions and perceptions, meaning, we feel the higher emotional range of joy, peace, enlightenment, love etc... To what you say about having children that have been here before. My son felt grown while I carried him. I can’t explain it but it felt like he just needed me to get here. He’s grown now but people tell him he acts like an old soul. And to this day, I can feel when he’s having a hard time and call him from out of state. So I don’t need a manual to read his expressions. 🙄

The newscaster was getting madder and madder until he slammed his hand down on the desk, leaned towards the author, and HISSED at him. I disagree with lizard man’s comment about the baby’s different cries. I have raised mine as well as other peoples children since I was 9 years old and YES the cries for different reasons do sound different even when the context is taken away.

There is an episode that has a machine that can predict or know if someone is going to commit a crime before they commit it. It is a literal futurama episode. When I had my first child it was a automatic bond and telepathic connection. In the middle of the night, I would wake up and go to his room and he would be moving and squirming around right before he would start to fully cry!! As a first time parent that connection was so amazing to me!! I’ve been thinking a lot about fungi and bacteria and how it’s everywhere but yet most of us are completely unaware. It’s actually terrifying to think about bc it would be the perfect weapon. I’m not a scientist or anything but it’s incredibly scary to see the things that can be done with stuff we can’t even see for the most part. If anyones interested I’d recommend looking into some of the studies that’s been done and what scientists have been doing. Some of it can be a bit hard to understand since I don’t have any degrees in such things but I understand enough to know it’s scary. Just the thought of something like bacteria (which is usually invisible to the naked eye) having the ability to damage or change our dna is mind blowing. Hell it can even kill us and we can’t even see it
