Nice two eq in One pré and post ! That is why this is the best reviewer it goes deep
Well my Boss eq 200 turned up today, after a few hours, I have the best tone I’ve ever had, (and I’ve had a few) I can’t quite believe just how much this pedal has helped in finding such a brilliant sound, 10/10 I can’t recommend enough
Welcome to the dark side …
EQ is about as sexy as that T-shirt but damn if it doesn’t make as much of an impression
Man Joerg Sprave has shed a few pounds!
Thank you for the detailed explanation
This ones on my list! For Sure! EQ’s should be one of the first you should buy.
Yeah, especially since most EQ pedals also have the ability to add a clean boost to the signal, so you can put them in front of the amp or an overdrive and create an incredibly versatile source of overdrive sounds.
My 33 year old GE-7 died on me and I have just acquired my new EQ-200 a couple of days ago. Now I haven't slept in a couple of days and my fingers are completely done, but I am deeply impressed with my new pedal.
It's a good and informative UA-cam channel you have Henning. Your irony and especially your self-irony is appreciated...!
✌😎🤘
I just bought a eq 200 for my bass pedalboard
Just ordered one, mainly for the programmability. I have been using an MXR 10 Band for the past year or two, before that a BOSS GE7 ..for a Looooong time - over 30 years I owned one of those.. But, yeah, EQs are great. Perfect for smoothing out guitar tones when switching between them due to some calamity or another. Great for practice - for finding sweet new tones, and perfect for little bumps and dips here and there - on the fly - for everything else. Thanks for a great channel! :0)
This is a very good video again
I love it on my King of Clean pedal board. thanks for the review. I'm late.
Merchandising Weasels are in charge. What's important is the lure them in price point... Everything should come w batteries and cables and power supply. It ll cost $5 at most for the seller. SO much easier for the buyer. For an expression device , sure, extra is fine. I m happy w auto wah and don t need to strain my ankle, but some might want that extra degree of control.
Brother u just sold this to me …what a difference from original tone ..who needs boost pedals with this gem
I had no idea Ibanez made such a beautiful guitar. I like the wood grain showing through. Now I'm off to Ibanez website to see if they make a T-Style guitar since I have decided my 2nd guitar should be a T-Style
Closest you are going to find to that finish on a decent Tele style is a Chapman ML3.
@@boomerbassmeme Yeech!
Bought this about 7 weeks ago it never gets old it’s the Best Buy all year for me I love it
Great review love the channel
04:01 not only made sense, explaining it that way got thru ! thanks.
This in front of dirt pedals solves all problems
Ooh yeah the power of freaky frequency control🤘🏽 dual mono for pre and post sculpting / unleashing the majesty of your tone 🤘🏽
YESSS, my mastah!
Great info …awesome vid …might have to get very version pedal
I've been using a Boss GE-7 for about the last 20 years with my Fenders and Marshalls and I've never been unhappy. I'm now actually contemplating selling it and couple of other really good pedals to buy this one. I just don't know if I really want to introduce any digital signals into my all tube amps because in all honesty, I've never really cared nearly as much for the flatter spikier sound of digital effects as I do for the more smooth and natural analog sound. I'm very curious what this pedal would sound like in the effects loop of my older (highly modded) 90's Hotrod Deville.
So I can use it as an outboard eq for final mixes from my DAW. Hope will be useful in that situation.
That was quite cool and also educational.. Yeap! BTW... Loved the my 2 cents cut screen 🙂
Make a demo with acoustic guitar with maybe 2 separate pickups. Tnxx
Good video, quality video, quite informative, I'm gonna pick that EQ up.. thanks. 👍
Was looking between this and the EQ2. I don't really like programming things on my computer and didn't enjoy their editor with their pedals prior. Having the graph and the movable sliders feels a bit better for me for quick and easy shaping. And the MIDI/routing options is great. Might go in front as a "gutiar fixer" for switching guitars and the second one after my dirt to get things how I want it.
that moment at 12:22 when suddenly, man melds perfectly with machine #nrrnrrnrrnrr
Mirror or alternate universe evil Henning owns a Kemper.....and has a beard.
I need one but is it this one or the Source Audio SA 270 ? - so many options
Great review! Do you find the AD/DA conversion of the EQ200 has an effect or latency on an analog signal?
no
I don’t hear any huge differences in tone with this thing
@15:36 fx loop
Does this machine has phantom power?
I'd thought this would be a great way of blending two acoustic guitar pickups (mic and magnetic, say). But no! There's no sum-to-mono of the output stage, only the input stage. Grrrrrrrrr
yes, that would be a cool application
if you power down in engaged mode - is it still "on" when you power up?
Automatically comes on when you power up regardless of your status when you last powered down
Is the picture on the LCD deceiving? It was my understanding that when you boost adjacent bands they don't really boost together, instead you're really creating two peaks instead of merging two peaks into a bigger peak. For instance, boosting all bands to max would not result in a level boost, it would result in 11 peaks and 11 valleys between them. Is that correct?
Eric Frederich your thinking about it too much, just get one and see for yourself.
🤘🏻
Alright, I like your videos from before. Now I could use your help.
I play metal and jazz. I use a guitar that has a humbucker for metal/rock and a single coil I switch to for cleans. During a gig, I may switch to different styles so I have to change tone knobs and go through a tone of settings.
My last gig, the rock tone volume was fine but, switching to cleans I lacked volume when we started so I needed a boost mid song.
The question:
Would you recommend this for me? I need to switch styles and sounds often for live gigs. Is it worth the money and worth it for someone like myself
Haha when you showed the first overlay, i thought it was a plugin. It just looked too clean to be a real life pedal. I'm a huge fan of this Boss series, and i'm really considering ordering the Overdrive one and making a video on that. Since you played (i assume), every single one by now, is there one i should order other the overdrive?
the delay and mod is great!
I have the OD... if you pay shipping, you can borrow it for a video!
@@EytschPi42 I don't know if my GAS can handle sending gear back to you haha! But that might be something i could be interested in for sure! :o
So using the same method you describe as A for pre-gain and B for loop, would A go best in front of the drives and B after you last effect?
Has anyone tried to control it MIDI from an ES-8? I can't figure it out ...
yes you can use and handle eq-200 with es-8.
I'm attempting the same. Running the EQ thru 2 channels on the ES8 hoping to change each via midi. So far I've accomplished a program change on "channel A", but have not been able to affect both channels with one midi signal.
Did you encounter any hiss/noise similar to the GE-7?
Nice t-$hirt
x2
So when I'm in the menu trying to set the memory EXT FROM/EXT TO, it wont let me go past M4? It just cycles through MAN-M4? Does it need a firmware update or something? One of the reasons I got it was to have many different EQ presets for different pedals/amps etc.. No idea why it won't let ne go past M4. HELP haha!
I have updated the firmware and I can do that
@@denis7369 Me too but thanks
what in the gods name r u wearing
I really would like your recommendation on this since I know you've tried both. Pod Go Vs Ampero. They are priced similarly here in the US. Which one would you pick?
pod go
This man gets on my nerves. Sorry.
Sorry too
So don’t watch him then 😄🤪
what an unnecessary comment
