Absolutely loved this video!!! Euge - thank you for taking the time do these videos - they're great!! I wish I had access to this information when I was learning back in the mid 80s - I'm still learning. For me, I put the EQ in the loop to get a classic rock sound. I do that to my 5150 and Jubilee. Funny how I have different amps and want them all to play like my Plexi.
I've recently found your channel and am really impressed with how simply and practically you demo gear. The EQ has long been my main tone shaping tool both in front and in the FX loop, but seeing the 'American' trick with the SD-1 and the EQ was something I've never seen before. Thanks for sharing.
Great video, Euge! I have an older MXR-10 band EQ. Been using it for years. It's the black one. I think I bought it around 20 years ago. I use it to offset the tone of different speaker cabs. Some cabs are bright, some cabs are dark or dull. The EQ fixes all that. If I don't like the sound of a certain speaker cab, the EQ will compensate. The 4x12 Peavey cab I have now is pretty dark sounding. BIG low-end. So I use my MXR EQ to tame the boom, and brighten-up the mid-to-high end. It doesn't really change the distortion character of my pre-amp, so it doesn't suck any tone, which is good. I use it in the LOOP of my Boss Katana head. Solid-state / digital stuff reacts different than a tube amp, when it comes to overdrives and boosters up front. It's not as big a difference, compared to running them with a tube amp. So you either LIKE the sound of it... or you don't. You are used to that boosted bad-boy tube sound... so you would probably never be happy with a Katana head. I'm sure if I ever get a EVH Stealth head... I won't like the Katana as much either! But for now, I DO like it. It's great to practice with. Never gets hot. More than loud enough. Has a good clean channel. Price was VERY affordable. So, nothing to complain about! Have a great day, see you on the next one!
@@EugeValovirta230V Oh, that's great! I think you will be able to make it sound pretty good! It might surprise you. Be advised: you MUST hook it to your computer and use the "Tone Studio" software to control all it's features. You will NOT be able to make it sound good by just twisting the knobs on the panel. Also, if it's the head, or the 100watt combo... hook it to your 4x12 cab! It will make a big improvement in the tone. The "Tone Studio" software is easy to use. You make a patch, and then save it to one of the 4 slots. I think you get 8 slots in the Mark-2 Katana. You will figure it out quickly. You have plenty of experience with more complicated stuff!
Great video! I run a MXR 10 band through the loop on my DSL40 and my 2203x and an Sd-1 in front. I love playing around with it. You can make your amp sound like any amp you want. I heard you mention transparent drives. I have a Wampler Tumnus that sounds amazing through my crunch channel on the DSL. One of my favorite pedals other than the Sd-1. It makes your amp sound like a bigger, better version of itself. I really enjoyed this video because I love noodling and messing with the 10 band to see what sounds I can get. Have a great week coming up Euge 🤘🤘
Thanks! Indeed 👌. I talked about transparent boosts, not drives 😉. But yeah it’s a great pedal but I’ve always preferred drives with mid boost & low cut 😎. Likewise man!
Thanks for another great tutorial. I’ve also had the Boss 7 band since the beginning. But I’ve always used it in the effects loop. I’d feel lost without one.
Im always running eq200 into front and loop👌🏻 i use to use the mxr10kk in loop but since getting that boss unit made everything change for the much better 👍🏻 Great video! Thankyou
@@ScknCelik i use a Fortin zuul (now a fortin zuul+) so i don’t really notice any noise to be honest but any good noise gate would do fine. It maybe that your amp has noise already and using eq is raising that noise level???
@@bossistheboss6996 Yep your guess is logical, but the problem is, when I use it just for loop or just for front there is no extra noise. If I use it at both front and loop the extra noise comes in.. Since you have a noise gate there might be no problems, but maybe someone has the same issue or you might guess why this frustrating thing happens. By the way thanks for your effort both making this video and helping people at comments! Rock on!
I use MXR 10 band EQ to tame the harshness of Vintage 30 speaker. Just a small cut on 2Khz and 4Khz making the sound is more more comfortable to be listened , giving space for vocals simultaneously.
This is funny, I just dug out my old aca powered Boss GE-7 and modded it to be used with my psa adapter and put it back on my pedal board. Now I see this video. It's quite the coincidence. EQ's have a huge effect on the sound with precise control. I don't know how I've been getting along without it.
Really cool video man, I love eq pedals, I own that mxr 10 band amd a whirlwind 10 band eq....I run them into the effects loop of my amp, really has a dramatic effect that way....also the mxr has 2 outputs to run into 2 different heads at the same time....
My very first guitar rig was the Marshall JCM 900 SL-X with a 900 Lead angled cab and bought the boss 7-eq and also later the Marshall Shred Master pedal. I got decent tones with them, but did not know that I could use the Boss 7-EQ as a boost pedal as well! I also had at my disposal the coveted 1980 TS808 my dad gave me and hated that pedal!!! That was over 20years ago and didn't know shit about how to tweek pedals properly and eventually moved on the Peavey 5150 EVE letter block amps and just played straight in with no pedals and sounded killer!!! Great video! \m/
Big fun to see you do this, I must say that I use a 6 band MXR to clean up my Trainwreck Xpress. I dont need a boost but a clean up!!!!! an upside down booster.
Hey Euge, sounds great was getting a Billy Gibons vibe out of that!!! Nice. I bought a Gibson SG Tribute Wednesday for under 1000.00 usd. Waiting for it in the mail. Has the walnut finish. Can't wait!!! It was a 2020.
Great video and so much excellent info for guitarists or any musicians in general!👏🏻👏🏻 I have the MXR 10 band EQ like yours and I use it at the end of my drive pedals chain to shape the tone a bit and specifically to add volume for solos and it’s a fantastic awesome tool!👊🏻 Also the 18 volts power in this MXR gives more headroom and very good clarity to the notes!Highly recommend to everyone who really cares about tone!🎸
This is a great and really useful (not just cool) video. (Nothing wrong with cool, though.) Way to go, dude. With two EQ pedals, one in front and one in the loop, you can also affect the _character_ of the amp's distortion. For instance, if the amp's distortion sounds flubby and farty, you can boost the highs and mids in front of the amp and boost the lows in the loop, which should prevent the lows from being distorted but still prominent (or at least audible) in the overall tone. I think that's kind of a "tone secret" of a lot of amps: they have a good bass _response,_ but not a lot of bass _distortion._ Or you could do the opposite, lots of lows before the amp, rolled-off bass in the loop, in order to get more of a fuzz-like tone. It's really amazing how powerful a tool an EQ pedal is, how versatile they can make a rig. Used judiciously, they can save you the trouble of buying a new amp, cab or microphone.
The main difference between a boost and a graphic EQ is that the Graphic EQ pedal has an op-amp for each band, and that results in a lot more noise and hiss. The RC Booster is a great option for example.
I haven’t noticed any noteworthy hiss but I crank the amps and play mostly rock & metal so what do I hear anyways 😁. The cracks, pops & his, especially with old Marshalls, are part of the charm 😎👌.
@@EugeValovirta230V Fair enough! What do you do between songs when playing live and you need the cut the amp hiss? I personally switch to the clean channel between songs on my EVH5150, but I'd be curious to know what you do.
I bought the mrx 10 band because it had a gain slider which makes it super effective as a solo boost, ive never even used the boss ge7, I am a boss fan so im sure its great, but once i got the mxr i never really looked back, great video as always Euge
Yes! The 10 band MXR was a game changer for me. Run it in the FXLoop of my ENGL Fireball 100 and it really brings the Fireball to the next level. Will never go without it again.🤘😎👌
This is pretty cool didnt know these pedals effected the amp so much , definitely going to invest in one!! been following your channel and been learning alot, thank you Euge! Also would love to see you work the EQs with the Marshall DSL100HR amp or a video with more experiments on that amp. Recently got one and found out you had one too! love that amp so far !
Nice video Euge. EQs have been a secret weapon it seems for some. Dime used one but would never say exactly how he set it. You could pretty much figure it out I believe.
Thanks! They’ve been indeed. He boosted the mids while the amp was pretty scooped. I’ve actually done two videos about him where I show this 👌😎. ua-cam.com/video/H27v9YD7grE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/xmH-zd96Rgc/v-deo.html
The EQ-200 is pretty cool. You can apparently use the two EQ channels, one pre and one post, meaning you could patch in a preamp pedal. That would have a ton of EQ shaping options. For instance, use the first channel as a boost, either a solo type boost (for more gain), or a Tube Screamer, Klon, DOD 250 or whatever type boost. Then, the second channel can be used as a cab sim, and send that into the interface, FRFR speaker, etc. Pretty cool. A channel on here, Direct Guitar Recording, hipped me up to the idea of using an EQ pedal as a cab sim / preamp for pedals. I'm thinking of either getting the Neunaber Neuron and Iconoclast I mentioned on another video, or perhaps the EQ-200.
Hey @Euge Valovirta the trick with the EQ in the loop works great with the TSL60 (or likely with any amp) that has a parallel FX loop as well. To get scooped sounds in this case you need an OD in the front and to aggressively cut the mids on the EQ pedal to get the desired effect, since the dry signal is mixed with the FX loop one. Indeed the EQ pedal is a brilliant tool. Great vid once again!! Thanks :)
Awesome vid and great demonstration , been eyeing that digital boss EQ pedal for some time now. The capabilities were well shown in this. Definitely next buy for me. The bad boy is the shit!! Cheers on that!
Great video, I have an 84 GE7 and the EQ200, the 200 is more versitile, I use it on my big board so that Input/Output A is in front of the amp and Input/Output B is in the FX loop, using midi you can save 128 presets. With my Marshall SL2555 both pedals sound amazing, you should also try the Boss BD2 blues driver for boost its realy transperant and sounds huge. Every time I see your videos I want to buy back an 800 !
Thanks man! Oh that sounds really versatile (literally 😎) 👌. Yeah I’ve been thinking about getting the BD2 and will do it someday. I’ve been stuck with SD1 since early 90s but I played a ”roots rock” gig back in the day with a Tele, my friends BD2 & 800 2203 and it worked really well ’cos SD1 could be a bit harsh with single coils.
You are saving me a ton of money, I was seriously thinking about buying a new amp. What are the best settings for the amps eq bass, mid, treble when using and eq pedal. Thanks again.
Glad to hear! IMO there’s no best or worse settings. Whatever works the best so just use your ears 👌. If you feel the tone is lacking bottom end then ad some low frequencies, if it’s lacking mids ad mids and well… you get the point 😎.
Awesome video!!, I like to have my eq after my od and before my pre amp, I don’t know, it seems to work. By the way Euge, I was born in Bucharest. Moved to the states when I was 7. Always wanted to return someday, been back 3times. Europe is great for metal music and art. Glad I found your channel,,,,
The mxr s108 version show here has no noise that the black version sometimes has an also is dual out put unlike the black version .get this version shown in video.
Thx for the great video!! I have a JCM800 2205 for a long time. I watched also your "MARSHALL JCM800 2210 from 1986"-video ;-) And now I'm inspired by your video to "mod" it (wants it to sound more like the 2203) by buying an EQ, put in the FX-loop and see what comes out of it. I'm curious 🙂 Not sure of which AQ I'm gonna buy; but anyway.
Thanks! I like dark 😎. But seriously I’m waiting a new more powerful light to arrive which hopefully will improve that. I could add more light artificially in Final Cut but that adds also ”distortion” to the footage so I try to avoid that 😎.
I have been using a 10 band eq in the helix hx. I put it in the front. Then the boost then the amp. After amp I use a delay and a 68 spring reverb. Its confusing because they all have tone adjustments to them. Should I just set the tone to zero on the boost? The reverb has bass and treble limits I can adjust. I take an hour setting the EQ and add the other effects in and it will change everything I set in the EQ. Should I set the EQ after I have the reverb and boost set? I gave up on it and just started using the tone on the boost and reverb controls. The Eq is great just takes for ever to set. Thanks for your help!!!
I use eq only if I find the need for that and with my amps basically never 😎. Well sometimes I use it as a boost in front like an overdrive ’cos it gives a bit different flavor. It shouldn’t take longer than a few minutes to dial it in since it’s very straightforward: if you feel that the sound / amp is lacking mids then boost the mids with eq etc. 😊 I don’t use reverb when playing but add just a bit of room verb in the post for my videos so the ”audience” would get a similar vibe what I have in the room. Usually the tone controls on reverb affects the tone of the reverb, not the ”actual” tone of the basic sound. My approach is less is more so only if I really find the need for something else than guitar straight into the amp then I’ll go for it and usually it’s a Boss SD-1 😁.
Keeping it simple has always worked the best for me but of course it’s good to try things out 😎. I did that too when I started but realised quite quickly what works for me and what doesn’t 🙏😊.
@@EugeValovirta230V Thans for your time Euge!!! I'm gonna have to invest in a tube amp soon. The mg50gfx is a great amp but I think a tube amp combo with an attenuated is my best bet. I'm not sure if I wanna spend that much money yet. Thanks again.
My fave channel on YT lately. I been trying to make my Origin 50H sound more like my DSL40C. I use the 10 band eq ok the loop. And will try the same in front tomorrow. Which settings or suggestions you can give me to make the OR50H sound like the DSL. I run the amps in stereo and it sound like the Origin has a blanket on top. Sounds muffled compared to the DSL. I want to give it presence, definition and to open up. 🤘🏻
Glad to hear thanks! Origin is kinda like a Plexi so it doesn’t have that modern ”high silver” bite that DSL, which a modern design, has and I think that’s the beaty on both designs that they’re different. I can’t give you any settings since that’s impossible ’cos there’s so many factors involved; cabinet, speakers, guitar, pickups etc. Just mess around with the eq until you get that presence you’re looking for. With eq in front you’re boosting certain signals into the amp so you’re basically shaping how the preamp tubes are going to distort. By putting it after the preamp (fx loop) you’re shaping the overall preamp’s sound into the power amp.
@@EugeValovirta230V ok thank you!! And by the way, thanks to your videos I'm closer to getting the tone I've been chasing for a while now. Your videos are some of the best one's on UA-cam and your 800 sounds friggin amazing!!! Especially with the skills you have. Keep posting my friend!!
Sounds cool man! I am probably going to get a boss hm2 to mess around with when they come back out. 🤘💪quick question been looking at esp les Paul’s what models do you recommend?
Thanks! The Eclipses are ESP’s Les Pauls so those 😎. I have 4 handmade Custom Shop Euge Signatures, one E-II & one LTD Hetfield Iron Cross. They’re all really good but obviously a handmade is always a handmade 😎.
I have the MXR it is a great tool for tone shaping. The 18v headroom and dead quiet operation are why it works better for me than the ge7 Boss. The only complaint I have is the lights on the sliders are incredibly bright. Wonder how that mxr would work in loop of your iridium ? Thanks for another helpful video 👍
What speakers are you running? I’ve think I heard you mention there v30s , do you know which model and year like if they are the UK? I have v30s but I can’t get my 800 2203 to sound that good , the v30s I have are very grindy
Can’t remember what I used on this one but mainly I use my two Marshall cabs in my studio; 1960 Vintage (Marshall Vintage speakers - the original V30s & 1960BX (Greenbacks)👌.
I recently got a Randall 3003h with a Randall 412g cab and have been having trouble getting the mid scooped tone even with the mid scooped button on the amp on and having about bass 6 mid 1 Treble 10 also our bass player brought a 6 band eq and we couldn’t seem to find a fix however that was through the effects loop we didn’t try using the eq in front of the amp but will try that next chance We get if anybody has any recommendations that would be great!
My tone now is just way to muddy and lacks volume on pinch harmonics and dime squeals (I run the gain on 10) but damn the Randall has a nice chuck and lots of power
The speaker & cab covers about 80% of the tone (if we leave out the player) so I’d experiment with different ones. My favourites for any kind of tone / sound with any amp are my Marshall 1960 Vintage & 1960 BX cabs 👌.
An old school Marshall plexi, like JTM 45 or 1959 head is the best heavy tone of any amp, to me anyway. That huge edge of dist tone like Jimi! With modern super high gain it just never seems as huge of a tone and it seems the solos and single notes get so small and lost.
Excellent video Euge! If I wanted to brighten up a darker sounding amp without a presence knob, like and Orange Rockerverb, could I do it with the Boss GE-7? And what frequencies would you recommend boosting and cutting to do that? Cheers.
Another useful video. I have an old Boss GE-7. It's a wonderful tool for tone shaping and boosting. How close do you think EQ can make a Single Coil pickup sound like a Humbucker, and vice-versa, and do you ever use it that way? You mentioned your Steinberg Audio Interface in the video. I've been watching UA-cam videos by "Julian Krauss" for quite a while. He does the most outstanding, in-depth reviews of audio interfaces I've seen. A pattern has shown up regarding the quality of the Preamp Inputs and related noise on Steinberg units that you might want to be aware of (though I don't hear any problems with yours). I don't know what model you have, but I can recommend this video, as it gives a good overall picture of them, important feature considerations, etc.: "Steinberg UR22C Review - Did Steinberg improve the legendary UR22?" Thanks. I always look forward to your videos.
Thanks! You can make a single coil fatter and humbucker thinner but you really can’t make a single coil into humbucker by just adjusting frequencies 😎. My Steinberg works like a charm and haven’t had any problems ever 👌.
I like using an eq and Maxon in front my jubilee but I sometimes get an uncontrollable amount of feed back even with noise suppressior all the way up, any solutions? Cheers
i own the same tools XD, the MXR 10 band in the loop and GE-7 in front of the amp Still quite confused with those frequencies numbers any tips/ tricks on specific tones EQ-ing? i.e. mesa-like tone (what frequencies to cut and what to boost ?), aggressive/ punchy tone ....
Oh I’m not a numbers guy but just use my ears. Too much low end: dial the low freqs back, too muddy: dial mid freqs back, too dark: dial more top end etc.
Hi there! Great video. Prefered the eq also in the loop. But when you’ve also got a delay and reverb in the loop, do you put the eq before or after those? Thanks!
Thanks! Yeah I’d put reverb the last and before that the delay. But if you want to eq the delay & reverb then eq the last. There’s no right or wrong way but just that if it sounds good it’s good. I encourage to be experimental 😎.
I boost it with BOSS SD-1 like pretty much any amp I use. That’s the thing 👌😎. It’s pretty much stock like my other 800s. They’re quite old so obviously filter caps, some parts etc. have been changed during the years etc. Here’s some videos I’ve done about them if you’re interested: - ua-cam.com/video/5I6nTYCEpVs/v-deo.html - ua-cam.com/video/5s-Dd9C-tno/v-deo.html - ua-cam.com/video/_OSB1TkIx3o/v-deo.html
There is an Aussie guy that makes good videos that really rely on EQ pedals. I can't remember his name. The bloke with the green parrot. He uses a little DSL 20 head and the EQs to get just about any record's metal tone you can name. Never works for me. I can not help looking at settings instead of using my ears. I stick to no brainer EQ tweaks like low and high pass for now. They make a useful difference and are dead easy :D
I'm always surprised that I used most of the techniques, tools & gears presented by Euge before his great tutorials 😉. I use the MXR EQ on my Marshall practice AMP. Since I also use the KHE Amp Switcher (4 Amps & 4 Cabs), I integrated the Source Audio EQ2 (Midi Programmable & Digital Graphic EQ & Noise Gate + other features) there. This allows me to adjust or sharpen each setup (Amp+Cab+Effects) individually. A really underestimated and powerful tool, such an EQ. As always, Euge explains it very nicely! 👍
right know I am so hoplessly stucked between MXR 10, Joyo R-12 and GE-7, maybe that video can help me, lets find out edit: I really like that video. Think I got something to take with me and it motivates me to play. But it did sadly not really helped me with my original problem xD maybe I should roll a cube man, idk
In my personal opinion the MXR has that little extra that just makes everything sound “better” when turned on. Kinda like an “HD-switch”. At least for my lead sound. Boss GE-7 was just “okay” in comparison. It’s quite a lot cheaper though

👌🤟
This is funny, I just dug out my old aca powered Boss GE-7 and modded it to be used with my psa adapter and put it back on my pedal board. Now I see this video. It's quite the coincidence. EQ's have a huge effect on the sound with precise control. I don't know how I've been getting along without it.
Cool! 🙏👌
Really cool video man, I love eq pedals, I own that mxr 10 band amd a whirlwind 10 band eq....I run them into the effects loop of my amp, really has a dramatic effect that way....also the mxr has 2 outputs to run into 2 different heads at the same time....
Thanks!
Indeed 👌.

I have the MXR 10 band EQ like yours and I use it at the end of my drive pedals chain to shape the tone a bit and specifically to add volume for solos and it’s a fantastic awesome tool!👊🏻
Also the 18 volts power in this MXR gives more headroom and very good clarity to the notes!Highly recommend to everyone who really cares about tone!🎸

Actually the BOSS GE-7 is mine and I borrowed the others to do this video 😎.
Great tip for the MXR btw 👌.
Thanks!
That’s actually a really cool tip man! 👌

bad boy sound with boss equalizer turned out killer! 🤟🏻
The Bad Boy was ”au naturel”. The EQs were only on the 2203ZW 😉.
Pepita has already danced and now he is listening to your lesson :)
He is indeed 😊

Thanks Euge, just dropped an order in for the MXR. I normally frowned upon EQs, but...

Indeed 👌

The one on left with the super bright blue lights.
Thanks :)
Yeah the parallel loop on TSL is great!
Exactly 👌.

Can you add some Light Because they're so Dark 🙏

I like dark 😎.
But seriously I’m waiting a new more powerful light to arrive which hopefully will improve that. I could add more light artificially in Final Cut but that adds also ”distortion” to the footage so I try to avoid that 😎.
@@EugeValovirta230V my friend I also like dark because light hurts my eyes
I don’t use reverb when playing but add just a bit of room verb in the post for my videos so the ”audience” would get a similar vibe what I have in the room. Usually the tone controls on reverb affects the tone of the reverb, not the ”actual” tone of the basic sound. My approach is less is more so only if I really find the need for something else than guitar straight into the amp then I’ll go for it and usually it’s a Boss SD-1 😁.
Ok , thankyou. That makes sense. I'm a new guitar player so I have been trying new things out.

Farm Fiddlin'! Just "steer" clear of those baked beans. 🤣🤣🤣

I recently got a Randall 3003h with a Randall 412g cab and have been having trouble getting the mid scooped tone even with the mid scooped button on the amp on and having about bass 6 mid 1
Treble 10 also our bass player brought a 6 band eq and we couldn’t seem to find a fix however that was through the effects loop we didn’t try using the eq in front of the amp but will try that next chance We get if anybody has any recommendations that would be great!
I have an older GE-7 with the normal dim light problem. I was wondering if you’ve had this problem or do you run it at 12v with your power supply?

An old school Marshall plexi, like JTM 45 or 1959 head is the best heavy tone of any amp, to me anyway. That huge edge of dist tone like Jimi! With modern super high gain it just never seems as huge of a tone and it seems the solos and single notes get so small and lost.
Personal preferences 😎. My fav amps are JCM800 2203 & Plexi 💪.
Excellent video Euge! If I wanted to brighten up a darker sounding amp without a presence knob, like and Orange Rockerverb, could I do it with the Boss GE-7? And what frequencies would you recommend boosting and cutting to do that? Cheers.

@@EugeValovirta230V Ok, thanks!
I don't know what model you have, but I can recommend this video, as it gives a good overall picture of them, important feature considerations, etc.: "Steinberg UR22C Review - Did Steinberg improve the legendary UR22?"
Thanks. I always look forward to your videos.

You can make a single coil fatter and humbucker thinner but you really can’t make a single coil into humbucker by just adjusting frequencies 😎.
My Steinberg works like a charm and haven’t had any problems ever 👌.
is there much difference on 10 band MXR and Boss 10 bands? the MXR has the 2k but Boss is 1.6k, will it affect too much?
I like using an eq and Maxon in front my jubilee but I sometimes get an uncontrollable amount of feed back even with noise suppressior all the way up, any solutions? Cheers
Turn the gain down 👌😎. I use as little gain as I dare but so that it still is ”heavy”. The less the gain the punchier the tone 💪.

i own the same tools XD, the MXR 10 band in the loop and GE-7 in front of the amp
Still quite confused with those frequencies numbers
any tips/ tricks on specific tones EQ-ing? i.e. mesa-like tone (what frequencies to cut and what to boost ?), aggressive/ punchy tone ....
Oh I’m not a numbers guy but just use my ears. Too much low end: dial the low freqs back, too muddy: dial mid freqs back, too dark: dial more top end etc.
Great video.
Thanks!

This allows me to adjust or sharpen each setup (Amp+Cab+Effects) individually.

But it did sadly not really helped me with my original problem xD

In my personal opinion the MXR has that little extra that just makes everything sound “better” when turned on. Kinda like an “HD-switch”. At least for my lead sound. Boss GE-7 was just “okay” in comparison. It’s quite a lot cheaper though
They’re all great IMO. I mean they’re eqs and they affect the sound the way one sets them to affect 😊👌.
