What got me hooked on you for sure is that: 1. you did the riser/grip on the belly of the bow not the back. 2. you used tightbond II instead of the fancy two part glue. I know this is an old video, but I subscribed to see whats up 😁

Dacron auf Bogen Länge gefertigt? Wie lange ist die Sehne? Wie bei den großen ca. 3-4 Zoll kürzer als der Bogen selbst?
Hallo Thorsten, vielen Dank für deinen Kommentar. Ich weiß gar nicht, warum ausgerechnet dieses Video so beliebt ist... Die Sehne hab ich aus Dacron B55 gedreht. Nachdem ich für unten den Zimmermannsknoten verwende, kann ich dir gar kein genaues Mass angeben. Aber bis der Knoten gewickelt ist brauchst eine Sehne, die eher einen Tick länger ist, als der Bogen. Am besten probierst es mit ner normalen Schnur aus und machst die einzelnen Strands dann mit ner Zugabe von ca. 35-40cm für das Öhrchen und den "Wickelverlust". Viel Spaß und Erfolg beim Bauen, Gruß Flo

Hello jeron, well the way I build bows is not really as precise as your art of building mechanical watches 😉. When you shoot a bow, you want to hold it in a way that the force goes straight in your hand and arm . This way you can hold it more calm and shoot more precise. So it is important to hold the bow in its middle. I try to compensate the fact, that the arrow doesn't shoot right in the middle by making the upper limb a little weaker than the lower limb. But I haven't figuered this out scientifically. That's kind of gut feeling. Does that make sense to you? Greetings to Spain or South America?!
@@flocarpenter5453 if it makes sense, I raise the centimeters from the center as you see the arching of the ends of the arch and calibrate it and there are arches according to the centimeter. Hallo Stefan, ich habe hier einen ganz normalen Fineliner genommen. Allerdings besteht die Gefahr, dass der verläuft, wenn der Bogen später feucht wird. Besonders, wenn man mit dem Finish so sparsam ist wie ich hier. Also entweder mit einem wasserfesten Stift beschriften oder mehrere Schichten Öl oder Holzwachs auftragen. Viel Spaß beim Werkeln!
Yes I do and there is nothing wrong with the bows after two years. I already built longbows with 30lbs with woodglue... but if the bows get stronger and shorter I'd recommend epoxy or PU-glue. Greets!
Der Bogen sieht super aus. Respekt, einen laminierten Bogen zu bauen erfordert Wissen und Können.

The taper is at the centre or at the bow tip
Hi Maira, the taper is at the tip. So the laminate is thicker at the center, than at the tip.
