i can not figure out how to change the dog icon. i run pointing dogs and it insists on showing a treeing icon. how can i get that to show the pointing ico
You should get the same distance but it varies on if your at the bottom of the hill or the top of the hill. I got 2 miles here in FL on flat ground. Distance would be the same with service or no service the difference is you will have to use pre downloaded maps which are basic topo maps not the satellite maps.
You'd have gotten more range if you had stopped the truck and walked the connector/receiver a little distance away from the metal and magnetic fields presented by the truck. Also, the manual suggests that for best range you shuld hold it high over your head, a useful tactic if you find yourself at the edge of the range envelope.
When are you gonna do I pathfinder vs alpha?

On your way back did the collar regain signal?
Sypris and Sargent Deer Tracking I’m also curios about this question. I know a garmin will regain signal
Yes they do
But how will it work in the hills where there is zero cell service

Have you tested the Garmin 550 Plus? If so which one do you like better? I’ll only be using it in one dog. Ty
