      Lago Brian bro it's magnets, if you watch it from other angles the ball clearly was not supposed to go in, they purposely show this angle so you can't see how the first time the ball hits rim it's bounces up and heads back towards kawhi but then miraculously gets pulled back in. Crazy how people can't see it right in front of their faces

    two takeaways from this that I didn't really notice before:
    1. Joel definitely got in the way of Ben.
    2. Joel also contested that shot extremely well. The amount of arc you need to put over a 7 footer is insane. Difficulty level 10/10.

    • @theballdontliepodcast
      @theballdontliepodcast 2 роки тому +231

      He contested that as well or better than Ben could have. By that point Kawhi was ahead of Ben. Maybe Ben would've caught up but in that moment Joel isn't going to hope for that when he knows he can pick up Kawhi and contest the shot as a 7 footer

After rewatching with them a couple of times, I thought the coolest thing was those couple of seconds,frozen in time, everyone who was watching, from coast to coast, we were all connected mentally, and besides the normal emotions one would experience, all of us were given a small gift. The time it took for that ball to boumce four times and drop through that hoop, the weight of our daily worries and struggles had been lifted.

I'm responding a couple hours after game 2. GSW's victory was mainly due to an improved defence, according to some players and analysts. I say , the extent of their improved defence, was the Raptors" failure to make countless shots they had clean looks at in the 2nd half. Game 1, couldn't miss and won decisively. Game 2, kept missing and yet still had a chance to pull it out in the end. Consistent shot making from here on in and the city of T.O. will be preparing for a parade. There is just something about true game winners. The type of shot that's in the air as the horn sounds, the red light illuminating on the backboard as the horn sounds with zeros on the clock - and the crowds collective jubilation... or collective agony - is just different. It's amazing to watch on TV. It must be friggin exhilarating to be there in-person.
