Seriously a great video! I kept seeing videos on loading from USB and all I could think about were the slow transfer speeds. This is a great tutorial on the process and immensely helpful.
There any reason you allocated a new volume? It seems like you should be able to just share a folder on the main drive no?

Hey, so I followed your tutorial but after connect my ps2 to my pc using ethernet cable and changing the network setting in my ps2 I get error 310: No network connection. What should i do fix this?

Hey man, 🇵🇭. I was wondering what ethernet cable did you use? did you just use the standard ethernet cable designated for connecting the router to the pc or a crossover ethernet cable?
Can't find SMB 1.0 in turn WIndows features on or off. Also can't find any way to install it and when I try to enable it via PowerShell it says it can't find the service

So we must use computer to access the game file or we can use other external memory like HDD or Flash Drive, and then we can still play using the ETH cable without must connect to computer again, just by HDD or Flash drive? Sorry I just curious about that maybe posibble

There is no SMB v1.0 on windows 7 does that mean I don't have to turn it on?
What I'm interested in is whether or not you can do this on Linux, since I have a spare Linux PC I can use almost entirely for just this purpose, but I've never done a network drive on Linux before.

A dumb question, but do you still need a network adapter for your PS2 if you use ethernet cable from PC to PS2? I’ve got a PS2 fat so there’s no build-in one.
You need the official PS2 network adapter for the PS2 fat.

No, I connected my laptop directly to the PS2 console itself.
I do not connect them by using a router
I just directly connected my laptop to the console itself via Ethernet cable

I’m trying to understand how this works. You are running the games on your ps2 but playing them on your pc? Or are you playing it on you ps2 and it just shows up on you pc like if you were watching a video on your pc? Are the roms on your pc or ps2? Will this work with the fat ps2 if I have a network adapter? Will this work on a weak laptop without a graphics card?
He's playing the games on his ps2 but loading them from the HDD on his PC so the loading times aren't slower than normal. This is known as an alternative to loading games off of a USB that is plugged into the ps2.

FMBC boots even if the card is in slot 2, so you can use a regular card for your saves in slot 1

Unfortunately the Usb ports of the ps2 are 1.1, so the result will be the same as he is showing at the start of the video.
Super cool, but can't really understand the reason of this when with a PC you can do possibly anything with emulators or cracks
emulation is not fully optimized for every game, so some prefer this method, especially if they already have a ps2 on-hand.

When you get error 300 it means you either didnt setup everything in your pc as it should or entered the incorrect ip address in the opl. I had the same issue and found I missed a step (7:46) with setting up my ip on my pc.
How about upscaling it to HD?
