2024 and still listening to this wonderful Game Music... Thank You for Sharing!
Thank you!
2021 and still listening :D
see you in 2031! :D
37:43 "Nothing yet.... but we'd enjoy the opportunity!" How come it has taken me all these years to realise what they were basically saying they'd do to her if he didn't comply?
they weren't kidding!
More nice tunes! The Amiga was really a force back in the 80s and early 90s, musically wise it was difficult to touch. I still write old skool drum and bass and hardcode mods on my A1200 here for a bit of a fun.
i really like composing with this machine, even though we have better equipment nowadays. it gives me a good feeling
OMG, rod land just crawled out from my memory cave.
Thank you for the intense nostalgia trip.
You're welcome 😉
Cannon Fodder (Narcissus), simply one of the best tracks on the Amiga.
a very intimate piece, composed on guitar after a break-up
At Last.... I found the Hybris drum break !!!! You have done the lord's work my friend....
Thank youuuuuu!
Super frog tune is lit
Really admire the order in which you put super cars 2 on after the killing game show making it sound like one track, links very nicely together
I've been wondering about shadow of the beast missing in volume I. Here it is! :D
Good work btw.
Hybris!!! I miss this game
you MUST play it! now!!!
Brilliant machine the amiga, in music even nowdays it has not been superated by any other computer in music capacity, and maybe it will not be superated, it reached highest pont in the art
Fully agree :)
Only system that is on par with it is the SNES. THE two legends of amazing sound chip capability and indeed neither has ever been surpassed.
To były piękne czasy..łza w oku..
good times ;-)
Your compilations are absolutely amazing , really the best of the best :D !
thanx :-)
Hybris theme is my all time fav
I had edited an audio version of one hour, I listened to it continuously :)
Thanks for putting the volumes at the top!
Thank you for your work... Impossamole was also a game with great music: intro, gameplay and and high score tunes were fantastic for the time
Thank you for your watching ;) there are so many games that I had forgotten about Impossamole. I made some late captures in September 2021: ua-cam.com/video/AD4HelvQ1hc/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/R3CrQM4cwJo/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/6p-dOvJfzN8/v-deo.html
@@AlexMenchi thanks I will take a look
Uridium 2 is good example to see the limits of most Smart-TVs: 00:09:09. On CRT monitors there's no blur when scrolling.
Absolutely
Dune had amazing music. A little overlooked maybe, since the game was as eccentric as the soundtrack. But the composer really made the most of the four channels at his disposal. And samples are just perfect.
I remember being amazed, the whole thing was punching above its weight class.
yes it was a success, Alexandre Ekian who adapted the music composed by Stéphane Picq did a good job : the samples are of quality for very few Kbytes. The result is very French, shifted, strange, we have the bad habit to want to make art in all the occasions :D
I totally agree with you!
The music stood out, and I still love it! The game was great, too. Adventure style that gained more strategic focus the further you progressed in the story. Pretty unique even by today´s standards.
Played it through several times, last time just a few years ago on emulator... Good times!
JAJAJAJAJAJA al final el CLASICO "Software Failure" ---- Por otro lado muchas gracias por estos buenos recuerdos
you're welcome ;)
Now that I remember, I really did play crazy amounts of Arkanoid on the Amiga..
It was an addictive game. Try BabeAnoid v2.0 if you can - it's awesome! ua-cam.com/video/SxwtiBLERmA/v-deo.html
@@LarsTragel-zh7ei i'm agree :)
22:43 - Oo! The was the soundtrack for Exile 2!
A lot of assets got inadvertently borrowed during the shareware days...
in the intro to the music of Dune?
@@AlexMenchi Someone slipped Spiderweb sound effects from Warcraft 2 (which they took out when they found out), and I wondered why the midi file was labeled "carthag."
@@AlgaeNymph thank you very much for this information, it's amazing!
Nice one. And in 50fps: good ! 👍
Hi, SWIV HiScore is cut before the end.
And the sad part is that it that it has the best part.
yes and I regret it. I cut in the first videos so as not to make the file too large (in 2015) I re-uploded it since and in better quality ua-cam.com/video/94S0QfukKYI/v-deo.html
Didn't realise that the Uridium 2 art was basically Briareos Hecatonchires from Appleseed. Loving the compilation though.
thank you, you're absolutely right: it's appleseed!!!
Good work!!
Great job and great selection!
thanx 🙂
Thank you for the music.
Thank you for your watching
Guru Meditation used to plague me on my 500+ music of been over a year before I found a 1.3 Kickstart boot disk to reset, and run all the games normally, well normally within reason, I think the 1meg upgrade didnt work correctly for the + in 1.3 mode.. I could be remembering wrong though
Great compilation
Think my favourite is super cars II
Thanks ;) mine is Turrican 2
Thanks for your tremendous effort putting these music videos together
I have one OCD nitpick (and I feel bad for mentioning it)
I like listening to Amiga music in 240p quality as that sounds closest to Amiga hardware . But your videos don't support 240p quality. Is it possible to have that changed. If not I'll make do.
Thanks again for the compilation
hello, thank you for your comment.
I upload my videos in 1080*720. UA-cam transfers to lower resolutions automatically. I checked in the settings if the user could choose the proposed resolutions. but there's nothing, I don't understand why UA-cam doesn't offer 240p when 144p exists. i'm sorry
The video quality isn't anything to do with the music quality. Did you mean for the visual memories of the onscreen graphics?
i didnt knew dune was on amiga too. i had pc version and some had adlib gold sound!
PC version was the first one developed, but i rather like the amiga's musics :-)
amiga had the better sound in all games, but dune it was the pc version with adlib gold soundcard.
Absolutely!
❤❤❤
Apidya!
nice simplemente lo mejor
+Nestor Gamarra thanx :-)
Shadow of the Beast - David Whittaker - C'était la musique in game celle ci?
Absolument !
Cheating is NOT allowed - not even for the sake of video grabbing. That said - thanks, nice work
:)
Is it me or does Hybris backgrounds look exactly the same as Battle Squadron?
Yes it does because it's the same developpers. hybris was created in 1989 and Battle squadron in 1990
Ahh that explains it. Bit of a con from them though wasn't it?
yes it was
I would pause Hybris right around the drum solo in-game (34:47), just for that. Battle Squadron, Hybris' successor, was better gameplay wise but couldn't hold a candle to Hybris' music.
I like Ron Klaren's music a lot. Battle squadron was lucky to have a good composer... I also prefer the music of Paul Van Der Valk :D
@@AlexMenchi Well, agree. BS was an awesome shooter, in multiplay and the music did complement that. Hybris was the first SHMUP I saw on Amiga, maybe that's why I'm slightly biased.
@@LERobbo it's an excellent shooter despite its seniority, I still have a lot of fun to play it: its gameplay is still fun!
@@AlexMenchi Goes to show that in the end gameplay matters, not the world's best gfx
@@LERobbo Exactly! A beautiful empty game won't amuse you anymore (Shadow Of The Beast). Not long ago I saw a 6 year old kid having fun with Tempest on Atari Jaguar. Because the gameplay is still as addictive as ever.
I sense a bit of cheating on the Superfrog game ;)
absolutely!!! :-) well seen
Guru Meditation
yes! It always ends like this :D
@@AlexMenchi I remember that screen from my time with the A500 and A2000
@@stnkpalm when the game crashed :D
