    Thank you so much for these videos, is the upscale you did on that video work for the largest size offered?

    • @EtsyMentor
      @EtsyMentor  2 місяці тому

      Yes it does. Also, if you're using Photoshop, make sure to select 'Preserve Details 2.0.' The other upscaling options just don't match the quality-I’ve tested them all.
      I created a picture for my father a few weeks ago, and it came out perfect, even at 24x36.

    I love your work. I have learned a lot from you being a new Etsy seller. And I watch every single video.
    I have mixed feelings about this video lol. On one hand I was jumping up and down that you showed my listing on your video...On the other hand, I hope that your viewers create their own original work and don't copy what you showed.

      My reply is not appearing - I completely agree! I never condone copying other people's designs-only using them for inspiration. Even with the AI prompts I'm providing, I mentioned in both the video and my email that I want people to tweak them and make them their own.

      My reply is not appearing - Email me; I'd love to know which piece is yours! I only showcase items I think look amazing, so now I'm super curious! Also, I found a company that helps protect original designs that I can share with you, just in case anyone does try to take your art.

    Hi Geroge, thanks for this video, It gave me a lot of information about a project I'm developing right now. About resizing images, could you tell me if the resample option of Photopea works as the one in Photoshop? I use Photopea and I'd like to be sure that I am resizing my images without loosing quality.

    • @EtsyMentor
      @EtsyMentor  Місяць тому

      I haven't personally used Photopea, so I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. Could you send me a few screenshots (EtsyMentors@gmail) of the resizing options? That way, I can help you figure out the best way to maintain the resolution.

    • @EtsyMentor
      @EtsyMentor  26 днів тому +1

      I also sell on Amazon, Michaels, and Walmart, though I’m most familiar with Etsy. I've run my own websites too, but driving traffic can get expensive, which is why I prefer using platforms that are already established with active customers. So, if you have any questions about those, feel free to email me.

    Question: When selling digital prints, what are your recommendations for file format options? For example, should I offer as many options as possible or just whichever I can offer through my own software.
    I offer transparent PNG & SVG, JPEG and PDF.
    I've noticed some of the big sellers offer just one, whilst others offer multiple.
    Thank you in advance.

      That’s totally fine. The beauty of art is that you can have 50 different pieces of the same subject, like a tree, and each one will be unique. In the end, the buyer will choose the one that resonates with them the most.

    George may I ask if u could do a "series of videos teaching us to research products and learning competition etc example after example till we really get it..this is most important..then one can let loose designing

    • @EtsyMentor
      @EtsyMentor  2 місяці тому

      Absolutely, I can add that to the list for you! Is there anything specific you want to see, or are you looking for a general overview of all products?

    • @Lambchop59
      @Lambchop59 2 місяці тому +1

      @EtsyMentor maybe like maybe 6 to 8 general products and then under them 6 to 8 different niches in each and explain "why" this is good product/ niche and another is not. U know when we learned math, we did one after another until we understood.. what is too high in competition for example?
      I'm understanding we don't flip from product to product...makes sense. Then we research 1 product's cost and profit, then find trend niches in it. Maybe think like a student is on computer sitting in front of you on a Sunday afternoon trying to learn how to find a good product to invest time in, step by step.. and like u say tshirts are overdone.
      I want to sell 1 product for now, KNOW it in and out, competition of it, trends now on it and be tedious and consistant (can u tell I'm a research nut?) I was in advertising yrs ago, folks don't know 95% of selling a product is KNOWING that product, competition, trends of it, other uses for it, how to present it to targeted markets. So I and maybe others here would like to really learn how to get every bit of info from everbee and erank....like all the different columns monthly sales, monthly revenue, months selling etc ..1 to pick the initial product 2. Keep coming back combing for stats on it regularly.
      Advertising teaches time "researching"saves TONS of time for u by KNOWING that product BEFORE u invest time trying to sell it..researching is just "learning" about that product, competition and profit.
      If ud kindly teach us how to ANALYZE all sorts products one after another we'd learn... like those math problems over and over... for any product and niche we want to investigate
      Id be very grateful (i'm one of those burned out 9 to 5 folks in an extreme pressurer cooker job) Whew this is long..sorry, but so fundamental to learn "quickly" without days of bumbling and trail and error that takes up precious time causing give up even just to start. Love ya George, thank u so kindly...Tiger too 💓

    Would you say it's worth to pay the $30 suscription to midjourney? I also used the canva AI but the size is always a problem, i resize everything in photoshop but it's not detailed enough, i've seen better quality and sizes on MDJ but $30.... I don't really know. Great video as always!

    • @EtsyMentor
      @EtsyMentor  2 місяці тому +1

      I haven’t tried out Midjourney since their latest update, so I can’t really say if it’s better or not. I do plan to test it out for a future video where I'll compare all the tools.
      As for Photoshop, make sure to select the 'Preserve Details 2.0' option when upscaling, otherwise it can make everything look grainy. This option uses AI to upscale and helps maintain the best possible resolution quality.

    Nice video, but I'm sorry, at least from my experience and research: the Etsy marketplace is saturated with these AI designs because everyone is making the same video as this one.
    The only ones making money off of this are the people who create content like this video.

    • @fp4625-m8b
      @fp4625-m8b 2 місяці тому +3

      From being in this space I agree that you are right, its EXTREMELY competitive. And if you don't have a good eye for design or graphic designing experience I would say its very hard to make any sales. Yes everyone is making the same designs but not every design is the same and majority of them never make any sales. However, if you have talent, its a different story.

    • @EtsyMentor
      @EtsyMentor  2 місяці тому +1

      You could say the same when everyone’s showing you how to use Canva to make a design. Meanwhile, Canva has 130 million active users, all with access to the same free designs. At least with AI, what you create can vary widely depending on what you type, allowing you to make something truly unique. And what @fp4625-m8b says is spot on-everywhere you go will be competitive. That’s why some people make money and others don’t. Those looking for a handout will never succeed, but those who put in the work will.
