    These riff examples have big Chuck schuldiner energy. I realise this pack has been out awhile but I missed it. Swept up in all the neural craziness of the last few months. I'll see if it's available tomorrow.

    I`m amazed with these sounds honestly. I was very sceptical at begining and honestly some early sounds very bright etc, from early expansion packs. This one is just amazing.

    Sounds great! I just wish I could get such tones on my setup, but I have hard lags and disturbing sounds whenever I try STL or Neural DSP stuff (using a steinberg UR22 as interface). It's just hard to find the right settings for my system, I guess.

    • @HCGonzalezJr87
      @HCGonzalezJr87 4 роки тому +1

      Check your sample rates and CPU utilization? Before I upgraded to an 8 core CPU I had playback lag and sound artifacts on my plugins during playback. I'm using the Neural Nolly and Plini packs and CPU utilization is much higher than the older free VST packs I was using.

    • @ecalhoun1682
      @ecalhoun1682 4 роки тому +1

      Yeah sounds like either your computer isn’t powerful enough OR, you have the sample rate too low for what it needs to be at to run smoothly

    • @NedsPlay
      @NedsPlay 4 роки тому

      @@ecalhoun1682 That's possible - I played with the sample rates, for sure. But,m of course, the higher I go, the higher the latency and you can't track real time with such a lag. I have pretty dated I5 in my system, that could really be the problem.

    • @ecalhoun1682
      @ecalhoun1682 4 роки тому

      @@NedsPlay Sounds like that is a good possibility for sure. An i5 is ok, if its newer, and you have I would say 8gb of decent ram at a minimum

    James Brown wasn't even at Peavey when they switched to 6505. The components changed. The transformer manufacturer changed. I mean, why can't Marshall make their JCM800 reissues sound like their 80's amps then?
    The 6505's even switched the power amp board to use the same as in the plus model.. At the end of the signature line, the transformers started being made by a different manufacturers.. Sometime after the 6505 release, the power boards were changed out. It was probably cheaper to just manufacture one type of power board.
    The pots are different. Open your amps up dude! The pots on the 5150 are open, where in the 6505 are sealed. The pots might be a small difference, but you start adding all this stuff up together and they're gonna sound/fell different. ;)
    If not, all clones with different components, different layout but same circuit, would sound identical to the originals.
    The differences you hear are the same as I have experienced between having em all, including blocks, except the 6534+... And it's not just the tubes. The tubes make a difference, but transplant the same tubes between the amps and you shall hear.
    In my case, 2 blocks remain.
    But I'll say this.. Some people will prefer the newer ones. Some the older ones. The newer ones are a bit smoother, and cross between a block and +, but a little more tilted towards the block because the input components play a huge role as far as filtering the guitar signal.
    The New Chinese ones are even supposed to have some improvements like with the ribbon cables, but supposedly have other manufacturing issues.. I haven't compared those. I went down enough rabbit holes, and my current one is with the stealth. I'm comparing the 100s and 50s next month. I have the 100s..waotjng on the 50s. So far, for my usage, the block stays, but the 50 is supposed to have improved green and blue channels plus midi. I will open these things up and check out what the differences are and perhaps mod the 100s to what I like about the 50s if I like the 50s. The red channel on the 100s is great for liquid leads, but I didn't dig the green/blue very much.

    I want to use STL, but I still cant figure out the secret to getting no delay from playing a note and hearing it. Ive been bound to Line 6 pod for 10 years due to this. Yes I have a scarlett DI but that doesnt do anything.

    • @ecalhoun1682
      @ecalhoun1682 4 роки тому

      If you have a DAW such as Cubase, Reaper, Protools, Studio One ETC just plug your scarlett into your computer, a decent computer, open a daw, create a track, set the correct input, and then go to the options or settings and reduce the sample rate to 128 or lower if you can. Sounds like you are having latency issues, which is what happens with higher sample rates. Once you get higher than about 256 you start to have noticeable latency.
