The Giants have two professional QBs on their roster. You don't need a superstar QB to win in this league: You need good offensive and defensive lines, a competent QB, and HC who knows what he's doing. If the Giants use a Top Ten pick on a QB in the draft, they will probably live to regret it. After all most first round QBs are average or worse. The Giants need to build themselves a line.

The most embarassing moment this week? Not the Jets losing. Not the Giants losing. The most embarassing moment is Mike being absolutely gleeful that the two local teams lost. He had more energy in this show than he's had in months. What is his problem??
These teams pretend they are on the path to win a Super Bowl, but are not prepared. I think Mike finds them lacking what it takes.

The Giants O-Line is horrific, they need three (3) OL men in the Draft and FA, or else they will go nowhere, the actually have some nice receivers, but the QB has zero time to throw the ball, he is running for his life most of the time.
The NY Jets under Zack Wilson had a net offense of 3 yards in the first half today against the Dolphins!!

The trash you are watching that is called Jet Football is due to Joe Douglas. He bet the entire team on Aaron Rodgers without any concern for a Plan B. Instead of recruiting and drafting offensive line players, he opted to spend it all on Rodgers. Even when Rodgers went down, Douglas had plenty of time to bring offensive line players in before the October 31 deadline. You can also blame Robert Saleh as any good coach would not have permitted Douglas to ignore the offensive line. Saleh is 15-31. Both Douglas and Saleh are only here because Rodgers will be back next year, not because they are good.
I agree with you on Saleh, but we wouldn't have Sauce or Breeze if it wasn't for that years draft& yes he should've drafted some O-lineman. Fix the line, have a great defense & of course Rodgers. You'll see. Saleh sucks as a coach& looked like he was about to cry 😢. At today's press conference.
I wish Mike would discuss his thoughts on the Jets prioritizing the Offensive Line this off season

Giants looked ok if it wasn't for their o line. Their o line got absolutely trampled today and looked awful. The jets as well but their entire team was a mess
Giants QB sacks allowed is probably averting 5-6 QB sacks per game. Embarrassing.

Its insane how no one brings this up when it comes to the amount of injuries that the Jets have had there. Its not just a coincidence. Rodgers gets the ball out in less than 2 seconds most times. Zach holds the ball like he's afraid to make a mistake. Which he is.
And I'm sure Lazard and Cook would have a total of 1 TD the whole season if Rodgers was in there

Build the Oline Giants. Properly. Thankfully we should have a softer schedule next year.
Problem with both these teams is how trivial successes are overblown and warped, making fans overvalue wins and great plays without seeing that they still have losing records, bad coaches, bad o lines, internal drama and politics (Rodgers, Wilson), a history of mediocrity both short and long term, and a revolving door of coaches., and a league of superpower teams that smack them into reality every year when they get too full of themselves.
I pray Woody listens to Mike and respects his opinion because he's right. This last game revealed Salehs arrogance or incompetence. To not have your best db follow their 1 wr threat in a must win game is troubling.

Both offensive lines should not be paid
JD came in talking about the trenches and has completely failed at building the oline. He could've invested some money and had Fant and Moses to go with Tippman. Saleh vs. Belichick . The non hof coach refuses to adjust his scheme, which he talks about at nauseum. A scheme that can't do anything without at least 2 1st rounders on the d line. Belichick's scheme is dictated by the opposing teams' offense.

For both teams, fixing their o-lines must be a priority during the off-season. Otherwise, they both will continue be mediocre. When you can''t block, your offense can't function.

He started out great with SF, but then flamed out badly. It certainly took him a long time to find his footing in Michigan. He tends to get irritated quickly when the media asks him tough questions, which could really blow up in his face in this town. Zach Wilson - The model of zero consistency.
And that is the reason why this kid will never be a successful NFL QB. IDC where he goes, what coach ends up coaching him, who he backups and learns from, what great oline and weapons are around him etc. NONE of it will matter. Because even when he puts together a good game 1 out of every 6 or 7 games, he will never go back to back weeks.
First time a little pressure ended up back on him today and he crumbled again. Just like he always does.
I hope he has fun in Minnesota or Philly or whatever team is dumb enough to even sign him to be a 3rd stringer.
Why do you think it would be dumb to sign him as a third stringer? You don't think he's better than Tim Boyle or Taylor Heinicke? He is. He is probably good enough to stick around for at least five years as a backup, if he really wants to. He may not want to though; he's certainly made lots of money already, and won't get paid well to carry a clipboard.

There are better less talented QB's around the league that know the game. Nothing Wilson showed me at the college level or the pro level has told me that he will be a successful NFL QB.
Maybe he can stick around for a decade by being a good teammate and being lucky enough to backup a good QB, but with the amount of injuries there seem to be at the position nowadays, it wont shock me at all if he gets starts somewhere next season.
And then we'll all know once and for all what he really is. But even if he sucks, his excusers will just continue to say that the Jets ruined him.
