- I've been for my first 8 shaft weaving lesson as a student with Steve Attwood Wright. I made a big mistake on the heddles, I fixed it and it's worked out fine. Here's a look at Steve's workshop and lovely floor loom.
The wood burning stoves are lit to keep our cottage warm and cosy. And lots of new yarns have been handspun on the joy spinning wheel.
I've hand stitched some new art journals, and recorded a fun tutorial for the Patreons in the projectalong tiers, making art journal collage papers.
And there's lots of other things too in this vlog.

Hello, I'm Lea, I'm a full time home educating mama to Elfie, working from home in a rural creative cottage industry. I'm a textile artist, and love heritage crafts, and history of crafts, and I'm passionate about helping to keep the old skills alive and growing.
Me and Elfie spend lots of time crafting together, we spin yarns & art yarns, weave on rigid heddle looms & tapestry looms (& I'm just setting up new work on a table loom) Elfie also tablet weaves on a backstrap loom. we sew, knit, crochet, paint, print, make jewellery, do pottery, wet felting, & needle felting, & I whittle wood, & have started learning basketry.
I started this channel to share our arts, crafts, vlogs, natural living, and I'm neurodiverse so I also share my videos about autism / aspergers and adhd as an adult female, to hopefully help other autistic people, and raise awareness, acceptance and self esteem.

No mistake just a creative mishap (words matter 😉)you’ll get the hang of threading a floor loom. Usually first lessons are more hands on with the instructor on standby because accidents like that can turn people off from weaving permanently but not you- you shine ✨ right through. Thanks for all the beautiful work you share 🤩.

Weaving a 8 shaft loom is hard. I went back to the Rigid Heddle looms.
I'm starting my first weave today, it's been tricky threading and counting. I'm definitely always going to use my rigid heddle too, they are such lovely looms to work on 😍

That loom looks confusing but what amazing skill to learn . Love your art journals and do you mind me asking where you sourced your beautiful tiles at the back of your rayburn please? I used to have a wood rayburn - they are the best .

Thank you very much Shawna! I'm glad you like it. Golden milk is hot milk with turmeric and a pinch of black pepper, I also add ginger, I'll post the exact recipe for it 💛🧡☕
