    Will you in the near future review some of the wonderful JDM rods like the Shimano Exsense Infinity, Daiwa Labrax and other shiny rods that we can not see in Europe or US in that matter? It would be incredible helpful to the anglers who consider importing JDM rod but have no source to learn any meaningful info about it.
    I bought JDM rod only because I met an angler who was fishing with one and he let me try it for few minutes. Loved it and ordered one from Japan the next day.
    There lots of superb rods from Shimano and Daiwa that we never hear about but they are dream to fish with. For instance, the Nessa XR would be a good start and Looking forward to watching such reviews.

      Handling rods to overseas is actually quite challenging at moment, long rods become significantly expensive to ship overseas, which limits the range of what we can offer.
      However, we do have some rods available as you mentioned, so we will focus on those and aim to update our offerings accordingly.
      Thank you very much for discussing so many details with us!

    I ordered this reel and decided to replace the bushings with bearings. When I opened the reel I noticed it has the same main gear the Vanquish has and indeed have the same body structure. The difference with the Vanquish is the rotor and its made of aluminum so it does not have the same light rotational feel.
    I did notice however compared to the Airity that I own. The Airity feels lighter to turn and smoother that my 9 year old daughter also confirmed but still the Twin Power is a solid reel

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195
      @jpfishingtacklenews195  2 місяці тому +1

      As we described in the video, Twin Powers especially for the 2024 and 2020 are mainly the "hybrid" of STELLA and Vanquish but by aluminium materials, that is likely to have Vanquish body + STELLA rotor + STELLA handle. Actually some of inner parts are from STELLA too (not the drive gear).
      TP's concept is like "Affordable STELLA", which is more to have durability and power, and both Vanquish and Airity are the same concept, for lightness and sensitivity.
      Personally, SHIMANO's Core-Solid series is high strength and torque but heavy, MGL series is really light and sensitive, and DAIWA reels are in between.

    • @bestthingsinceslicedrice
      @bestthingsinceslicedrice 10 днів тому

      Ok I was mistaken on my original post that the Twin Power and the Vanquish has the same main gear.
      After close inspection the Vanquish has a smaller main gear diameter compared to the Twin Power thats why theres a lighter rotational feel.
      Makes sense that even compared to the Twin Power Xd the Vanquish has a lower rotational feel despite both having MGL Rotor

    Great video, thank you! Are you able to do a casting distance measurement between 24 twin power and certate? A few people have said that infinity loop feels like it casts further but I'm keen to see if it really does by measuring casts in a field.

    Do you think the twin power or certate is better? Is infinity loop worth it to go with shimano instead of daiwa? I prefer daiwa but I don’t know if getting the twin power for infinity loop is worth it for not.

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195
      @jpfishingtacklenews195  Місяць тому

      This is only my personal feeling, so this won't be for everything and I won't say I am right to everyone. Personally, I like Infinity Loop as I don't have any issues by the right lines (harder line preferred), and the cast feel is great. But I can't guarantee that you wouldn't have line troubles with that, as some people say they do.
      If you would be worried about it, and not a big fun of Shimano, I would go with Certate.
      Otherwise, TwinPower can be one option for sure.

    Excellent work! I love your videos, keep it up my friend! 👏🏻👏🏻
    I’m going to buy Twin Power reel, since you have experienced both 21 TPxd & 24 TPfe.
    Which one do you recommend for surf casting from the beach and jetty? Targeting striped bass, bluefish, mackerel & bonito using lures (30 to 60 gr) most of the time. Looking forward for your input, thank you!

      Thank you very much! We will as long as we can :)
      While both reels are great and can be used, I would rather to use 24 TP as the lure weight can be up to 60g and reeling torque could be one of important points for your fishing. As in this video, 24 TP reeling torque is quite strong, which can be an important to keep the nice action even while strong backwash.

    Could I ask for general rock fishing, using similar type of lures as you used to target pelagic fish like Tuna, Kingfish etc. which would you personally choose, TwinPower or Certate?

      In that case, it would also depends on the balance of your rod but I would go with TwinPower.
      For Tuna, Kingfish type of things I would use with stronger torque reel as you might need to pull them up real hard to get off from rocks sometimes.
      Certate can do the same for sure, but if I compare them, TP would be my choice.

      @jpfishingtacklenews195  5 місяців тому

      @@bloke5874 Oh ok, that was not what I imagined initially. Ballistick is a seabass rod and not for kingfish / tuna species as it can only have up to PE#1.5 line for guide setting, I am not quite sure of the target fish size, but if the target is within the rod capability, then I might go with Certate as the Ballistick is such light rod despite it's long length. You can still go with TP 4000XG for sure but I wonder if I would need TP torque within the seabass rod capacity.

    Nice. I just got a 4000PG Japanese model. It has a power handle. That's not why I bought it. But it's a bonus. It's the slowest ratio option. I think the higher speed ratio Japanese models also have a T type handle. But the 5000 also has a power handle.
    I will mainly use it for lure fishing for pike. I also got a 5000 size spool. As the 4000 and 5000 size reels have the same body. So you can switch spools. I think the same goes for the 2500 and 3000 sizes. It's that way with most Shimano reels. But there may be some exceptions.
    Loaded mine with eight strand Sunline Castaway in 50lb test. Ordered the lot from Japan.
    The FE is sold is the US and most or all of Europe. The Japanese models have different named models. E.g. PG instead of FE. But seem pretty much identical.
    Anyway I'm hoping mine will last. It won't see the salt. Which should help long-term.
    We shall see.

      @jpfishingtacklenews195  5 місяців тому +2

      Thank you!
      Ah yes you are right, 4000PG has a round knob and XG has large T knob. I personally think the 4000 size could be a round knob for heavier use, not sure why they still have the T knob. I actually replaced my Stella C3000 with the round knob of C5000 ordering the related parts separately lol
      And yes, 4000 and C5000 has the same body so you can swap over, but for the smaller size, 2500 and C3000 are the same, as C means Compact Body, so C3000 has 2500 body with 3000 spool. But 2500 and 3000 (3000MHG) are different, you can't share the body.
      But yes, that's SHIMANO's strength that you can share the same body with different spool size, although you actually can do with SLP spool to some DAIWA reels.
      Sounds really like the reel will last longer as you won't use that for saltwater scene :)
      Good luck!

    Awesome review! I just like to get your opinion on the Daiwa certare 5000 size compared to the twin power 4000. I was thinking of spooling in PE #4 braided line in a smaller reel for all day casting and i onlyneed 100m of line for my style of fishing, but the certare 4000 doesn't fit 100m of PE #4. I like to know if the certare 5000 size is comparable to the twin power 4000 in terms size, weight and all day castability. I know the certare 4000 comes in a 4000D CXH-A model with a deeper spool, but I can't find it on sale anywhere. This model will fit 100m of PE #4 line easily.

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195
      @jpfishingtacklenews195  5 місяців тому +2

      Thank you very much :)
      Quickly checked and Twin Power 4000 spool will have capacity of #4 - 120m C5000 will spool #4-150m, and Certate 5000D #4 - 180m around, and only global model of Certate has 4000D, which will spool #4-150m, all in programmed calculation values. If I were you then I would spool #4-150m in case you need to cut the rough end after fishing session multiple times, which will make the line shorter and shorter time by time.
      This is my personal opinion and feeling, but Certate 5000D is heavier than TP4000, lighter starting of reeling, but slightly less reeling torque, and therefore if Infinity Loop won't bother you, I would pick TP as it sounds more like #4 size requirement type of fishing will need stronger reeling torque to me.
      Hope this helps :)

    • @seanleau
      @seanleau 5 місяців тому

      @jpfishingtacklenews195 I also heard that the twin power will have a bigger chance of wind knots. It seems like the problem is the line lay system. Shimano TP lay down the like neatly and evenly through out the spool. But Daiwa Certare lay the like slightly taper towards the spool lips. Meaning the spool lips line taper down towards the back of the spool. The lip of the spool on the Daiwa holds more line I guess..
