Coming back after the Packers draft, just LOVE hearing your opinion about not only Watson (Arod is going to get all of his potential out of him) but also Romeo Doubs, if his medical checks out, he's going to be a fun addition to put on the field on play action, Watson getting attention from the Safety and then have Doubs fly past on the backside. This is going to be a fun rookie WR class!

I really like George Pickens. Everybody thinking he'd fall far into the 2nd round seem to be sleeping on him. He is a 1st round talent, and if he hadn't missed most of the season due to an ACL injury, he'd be a top WR prospect in the draft. I'd be super happy if my Packers took him. Treylon Burks is about as close to a proven, "You Can't Miss" Player in this draft. He can do it all, and don't be fooled by the 4.5 at Combine.....he was outrunning 4-5 star DBs of the elite SEC teams at will.
1. You’re right about Treylon Burks’ route running. 2. As a Hog fan I am biased BUT the kid is truly special. Huge hands and a crazy athlete. 3. Burks consistently got open or made tough catches and big plays vs top competition. 4. I love your work!
Pickens: Pending focus and concentration can be like a Jerry Rice type of player but also medicals is knocking him down as well. Remember Rice didn't run a great 40 time either but the focus on his off season workout regimen was great and it showed on the field which he became a deep threat. Pickens can be as good as he wants to be depending on his work ethic...
This is a really good analysis Brett.. the best I've seen. We have a tremendous depth at WR this year and it will be up to teams to take advantage of the unique skills each player brings to the game.

Kyle Philips and Chris Olave were both 3 stars in the class of 2018 from the same town (San Marcos, CA) and it's funny to see how they went to completely different levels of college programs and both ended up as Tier 2 guys.
David Bell does everything great except for speed, and we’re putting him in tier 4 now? Yikes, I don’t agree with that one, but maybe it’s because I’ve loved Bell as a prospect for like a year now.
Couldnt agree more. I think Bell is the best receiver in this class and by a pretty wide margain too. People getting caught up in 40 times easily forget the reigning Super Bowl MVP and receiving triple crown winner ran a 4.62 at the combine. Davante Adams ran a 4.56. Michael Thomas ran a 4.57. Deandre Hopkins ran a 4.57. Speed is mostly overrated. Give me the best football players, period.

we don’t need him to be a burner, we have cooks for that. we needed a reliable slot who can create separation in routes & is not afraid to get hit in the middle of the field. metchie can provide us with all of that.
Feels like Metchie is being heavily slept on across the board by the analysts and mock drafters. he had more catches than Williams and has been consistent for a few seasons surrounded by first round guys. ive seen him regularly graded as a 3rd round guy and will be a "how did he slip to there" guy in the future in my eyes ps. please dont let him fall to Mac Jones and the Pats for the NFL sake
Hes not being slept on. Small fast guys are a dime a dozen. Add in the fact thats hes recovering from a torn ACL? Yeah i wouldnt take him until maybe the late 3rd round.
@@michaelforfa6673 If the Pats draft him, thats just guaranteeing he will be a bust. Bill Belichick hasnt drafted a good receiver with a high pick like ever. The couple he has drafted (Chad Jackson and Nkeal Harry) are complete busts.
Love hearing your insight. Someone who I think is being slept on is Makai Polk, who I think will go early Day 3 at the latest and surprise some people.
Don’t over think dot, 2 most valuable attributes on a receiver: the ability to separate and ball skills. He’s elite in both categories, anyone knocking his size hasn’t paid attention to league trends at the receiver position. Ball skills matter, it’s the most important trait at the receiver position. If you’re a QB you trust him, he’ll be a high volume target candidate and he’ll product. Recognize as productive as he was, his production was severely limited by quarterback play. Draft him anywhere past pick 5 and he’ll justify the selection. Don’t over think quality. Don’t overthink Jahan Dotson

Not your core fans obvs, but maybe a barrier toa wider audience. Wish you the best for the rest of this series
As a Rutgers fan it’s very nice to see Bo get the love he deserves especially for playing on the Rutgers offense like Brett pointed out. I still remember watching the Rutgers offense repeatedly shoot itself in the foot over and over throughout his time there.
I'd put Watson at #1, and the G. Wilson at #2. Alec Pierce should be ahead of some of the 1st RD prospects. I can picture him somewhat like a Jordy Nelson, but with more athleticism.
Brett, you mentioned Brandon Marshall comps to someone else, but I see him in Alec Pierce. Every highlight of him you showed screams Brandon Marshall. I’d love for the Bears 🐻 to get this kid! That 90* cut he makes almost backwards after running 15yds upfield is some very good route running.
@@rjharrold2907 He's basically MVS for the Packers(or Chiefs). I'm not getting the over the top enthusiasm. He's REALLY talented and he's got huge upside. He's also a body catcher and drops a SHIT-ton of passes.
That said....I REALLY wanted Pierce. Watson fills the void MVS leaves....which is bigger than just what he did statistically, but the deep threat is just huge....YUGE for an offense like this one. Gotta take the top off the defense. Now...gotta find a WRer who will be on a rookie deal that a team is willing to trade who can do the things Adams did. The back shoulder throws, going over the middle, the sure handed possession receivers....
Did you even watch AJ Green coming out, lol? He was otherworldly at Georgia, and was just as fast, more explosive than Pickens, while being bigger. I agree Pickens has great potential, but Green was miles better coming out.
@@22s22a why I said just as fast. Nearly identical 40s, and both their speeds are evident on the field. Difference is Green was 2in talller and slightly heavier.
I'm a big believer in Watson. Don't have any good argument to back that up. He's just one of those receivers I watch video and can't help but say, "wow!" Calvin Austin is another guy I think could be a great receiver.
I’m high on burks but if he’s got work ethic and staying in shape issues then I’m out. He’s already a big man, a big lazy man turns into mike Williams from USC
@@SokemRokemRobot - "deep threat" seems almost like a gadget player. Deandre Hopkins, Cooper Kupp, Keenan Allen, Davante Adams...all players talked about in peoples' top-5 or top-10 at some point, are also all players that ran 4.5/4.6 40 times.
I gotta agree. Speed's nice but it seems a bit over valued while physical or route running specialists, some with great hands, got knocked a bit here. The players in the top tiers may get drafted the highest but don't be surprised if a tier 3 or 4 guy ends up being the only all pro of the class at wr, it certainly wouldn't be the first time that's happened across a draft.

Thank you Brett. If it weren't for your videos, I would sound like a fucking idiot when talking about football with my friends.
Watch the footwork by Phillips at the 23:12 mark..
Thank you for your work man!
As a Saints fan I will watch this with great interest.
Kyle Philips and Chris Olave were both 3 stars in the class of 2018 from the same town (San Marcos, CA) and it's funny to see how they went to completely different levels of college programs and both ended up as Tier 2 guys.
My whole wife's family is from San Marcos. Great town!
@@BrettKollmann Lot of talent in CA. Top two QBs next year will also be from CA
I’ve never been so early to a video this is great
David Bell does everything great except for speed, and we’re putting him in tier 4 now? Yikes, I don’t agree with that one, but maybe it’s because I’ve loved Bell as a prospect for like a year now.
Couldnt agree more. I think Bell is the best receiver in this class and by a pretty wide margain too. People getting caught up in 40 times easily forget the reigning Super Bowl MVP and receiving triple crown winner ran a 4.62 at the combine. Davante Adams ran a 4.56. Michael Thomas ran a 4.57. Deandre Hopkins ran a 4.57. Speed is mostly overrated. Give me the best football players, period.
@@williamhermann6635 really the speed wouldnt matter if he ran a great 3 cone. I still agree tho. I think bell will be the definition of Solid in the NFL. Not like a jerry rice, but not a bust either
@@apinecone2753 I remember Dalvin Cook running a crappy 3 cone and draftniks actually had the gall to call him "unathletic" lol. The underwear olympics dont matter.
@@williamhermann6635 LOL. 🤣🤣 Pump the brakes homer….you’re grabbing at every low percentage outlier to make your point and you’re gonna be disappointed. Purdue alum??
@@bh-zj4yt Theyre not extreme outliers. The extreme outliers are the highly drafted elite athlete receivers who dont bust. The list of 1st round receivers who bust is long. And no im not a purdue alum. I dont follow any one team in college. I was a Michigan fan when i was younger (loved watching Charles Woodson) but thats was a long time ago.
Love Phillips, Tolbert, Pierce, Melton, and Doubs. Which is why as a Chiefs’ fan I don’t see the need to draft a WR really early.
I love the breakdown by position🔥
Watching that Pickins section as a steelers fan made me very happy
Having John Metchie all the way down in tier 4 is criminal imo
You are so intelligent I recommend your channel every chance I can
I remember looking back and you saying biggest draft bust potential was jj whiteside and you were so spot on. Pain.
I'll be adding Tanner Conner to the upper tier three of my dynasty draft sheet. Got a feeling he goes a bit early to the right situation.
Brett has the best draft coverage.
Totally agree about Metchie. I watched highlights after the Texans picked him and his lack of speed and quickness was very noticeable.
we don’t need him to be a burner, we have cooks for that. we needed a reliable slot who can create separation in routes & is not afraid to get hit in the middle of the field. metchie can provide us with all of that.
Feels like Metchie is being heavily slept on across the board by the analysts and mock drafters. he had more catches than Williams and has been consistent for a few seasons surrounded by first round guys. ive seen him regularly graded as a 3rd round guy and will be a "how did he slip to there" guy in the future in my eyes
ps. please dont let him fall to Mac Jones and the Pats for the NFL sake
all of us pats fans are praying for that exact outcome
Hes not being slept on. Small fast guys are a dime a dozen. Add in the fact thats hes recovering from a torn ACL? Yeah i wouldnt take him until maybe the late 3rd round.
It's OK more chance for the pats to grab him.
@@michaelforfa6673 If the Pats draft him, thats just guaranteeing he will be a bust. Bill Belichick hasnt drafted a good receiver with a high pick like ever. The couple he has drafted (Chad Jackson and Nkeal Harry) are complete busts.
hehe, too bad pats fans.

Awesome video Brett as always, I saw on Twitter that this video has underperformed a bit. I'm no UA-cam algorithmn expert, but maybe you could've split the video up into separate ones one Tier 1, 2, 3&4? SOme people can get scared by seeing 50 minutes in the corner of a video icon.
ND alum here. Watch London carve up the secondary this year. He’s Keenan Allen without the top end speed.
Brett you're a legend.
Really hoping the Saints get Williams at 16. Hard to see if Jameis can still go when your best WR is your backup QB.
Michael Thomas?
1 year later and all of these breakdowns are SPOT on
Drake London going 8th overall!
Christian Watson will be a late first round/early 2nd steal for whoever drafts him
Potentially a New York Giant but I think he goes above us there probably late first
@@rjharrold2907 He's basically MVS for the Packers(or Chiefs). I'm not getting the over the top enthusiasm. He's REALLY talented and he's got huge upside. He's also a body catcher and drops a SHIT-ton of passes.
And you'd correct. Packers at 34 baby!!!
@@hotzcakezp1600 Well...he has to produce for him to be correct...but I suspect with this offense and QB, chances are? things work out just fine.
The back shoulder throws, going over the middle, the sure handed possession receivers....
crazy melton fell to the 7th
George Pickens is still WR 1 for me. He's A.J. Green with more speed/explosiveness and a more physical frame.
Did you even watch AJ Green coming out, lol? He was otherworldly at Georgia, and was just as fast, more explosive than Pickens, while being bigger. I agree Pickens has great potential, but Green was miles better coming out.
@@jonmarshall3469 Green was definitely a better prospect.. but he wasn't faster than Pickens
@@22s22a why I said just as fast. Nearly identical 40s, and both their speeds are evident on the field. Difference is Green was 2in talller and slightly heavier.
@@jonmarshall3469 Green is 6"4..1 inch taller
@@22s22a sorry, my bad lol. 1in off
I'm a big believer in Watson.
King Kollman with another 💎
You guys are insane!!
I like all the analysis but when you start knocking players that run 4.5 as slow...Davante Adams runs 4.56 40 time.
His 4.56 time showed in his stats, too... averaging about 12 yds per catch. He's certainly not a deep threat.
Awesome analysis-video. This is an incredibly deep WR class. Where would you rank it the last 20'ish years or as far as back as you recall?
I would say it’s at least the 4th best in my opinion. 2014, 2020, 2021, and arguably 2011 were all better
Pierce should for sure be tier 2. He's gonna be a baller
