It's sad to see that Digital Circus is supposed to save the Animation industry, yet now it somehow made a lot of crappy content farms for kids that caused brain rot on UA-cam.
I feel bad for the creator for all this. TADC is a great show that reminds me a lot of those late 90’s computer games but with a horror mystery plot involved with characters you’re glad you spent time with and see how they’ll develop in each episode. But those content farm creators got their hands on it and made it into something that is unholy and something that TADC isn’t, as the show itself is 100% not for kids. I’m glad the third episode had the horror really horrifying just to scare off those content farms saying this show isn’t for little kids and we mean it.
I think TADC isn't one or the other. On one hand, it has proven to be capable of saving the Animation Industry. On the other hand, it is yet another cow for these content farms to milk and slaughter but it isn't the fault of Glitch, Gooseworks, or anyone involved in the show. They made it clear how much they dislike what they've done to their show. It just goes to show that sometimes, this is why we can't have nice things in the world.

It all started at Elsagate. That’s ground zero where it started and it never left, it manifested itself and infected other popular shows and works that people enjoy
one time caseoh explained that he doesn't stream on tiktok because other people will "livestream" by replaying his streams on their pages. so when he himself tried to stream, tiktok would take it down for spam. the stealing is outta hand
The main reason Caseoh said he doesnt also stream much on tiktok anymore is he makes like 5% of the rev on tiktok livestream vs his youtube content that he said brings 90% of his monthly income so his tiktok followers watch him on his twitch and youtube uploads full stream, He also said he finally got verified so that doesn't happen anymore.
My animations, and my friends animations have unironically been stolen by several content farms. Its so annoying. Thanks for spreading awarness about this.
Oh my god. I’m really sorry that happened to you, and yeah you’re right. That really is annoying, if someone is stealing your content without your consent and/or doesn’t give you credit, you can send them a copyright takedown notification. I learned that from Glove and Boots years ago.
Thankfully i got all of the stolen content off the farms by threatening to send a copyright strike to the channels. It's still so annoying that this actully happend
I think twitter is my least favorite example The replies under threads are random, unrelated content and commentary and you have to scroll super far down to see an occasional relevant comment
This is the sort of change that on paper would make content creators far more cautious about what they upload. Even uploading a bad video counts for the limit. Unfortunately, this sort of change doesn't favor a system that pushes for quantity if you want to earn a living. This also doesn't favor UA-camrs who are able to actually upload a lot of high quality content very fast.
And that's why I'm EXTREMELY selective with any content I watch, very picky with ANY channel I choose to subscribe to and ALWAYS have both ad block and sponsorblock on. I'll be dammed If I'm gonna contribute to both Google's bottom line or a bunch of no talent UA-cam hacks profit.

Genuinely they used to make some funny content! Like Pokémon on zero budget, but then they sold their souls into being a content farm. I even remember some other funny content back in the day, but seeing what happened is disappointing.

My 11 year old stepdaughter is allowed to watch this garbage on the weeks she is not with us, and it is causing her distress, yet she's obsessed. It's bizarre. Unfortunately, I can't control what happens when she's not at our house...and it genuinely stresses me out. Its mentally and emotionally influencing our children, who are so vulnerable and impressionable. Parents who are aware of this and still allow their children to access it should reevaluate what it means to be a parent.

as a teenager 15 who plays roblox... i cannot tell you how much i cringe when i see the players avatars, their unfunny skibidi, fanum, blah blah jokes, and brainrot games.
I am also a 15 yr old teen who plays Roblox. I usually just play games like Doors and FNAF fangames like Ultimate Random Night. Luckily, I don't always run into brainrot, but every so often I see it.
I'm going to tell you right now, Lankybox was definitely a cancer to the amazing digital circus because they use the characters for their "quote and quote" Brainrot content. They can be the type of guys that can use characters like the ones from Hazbin Hotel into brainrot bs which is absolutely ridiculous and cringe. "What the Sigma", "So Skibidi", "Rizz" like omg, these kids brains are rotting like a flower because of them.
In fact, TADC episode 3 was scary on purpose. One of the characters purposefully said in reverse "I can't wait for all the children in the audience to get horrible nightmares from the monster". This stuff stopped content farms from making content of TADC.
I’m honestly glad they cranked the horror up to 11 in the third episode just to clarify that TADC isn’t for kids, but you know how UA-cam and content farms go. I hope they stick to their guns for the next episodes that will come out.
Visual venture seriously needs more attention. The quality of his videos along with the quality of the actual things he’s saying should go more noticed by UA-cam.

I stopped allowing my kids on UA-cam when I first noticed those Elsagate videos. One day my daughter had a video on the main TV and I was like, "Nooope, no more UA-cam". Crazy that so many other parents didn't catch on right away or at all! Monitor your children's online activity, please.

As a mother of four kids, my youngest two being 12 and 7, I’m sick of the internet. Even tho I monitor what my boys watch, that doesn’t mean all parents do and it’s sad😞
The saddest part is.... if you have your kids avoid this brainrot content and the kids in their schools watch it all the time. Your kids may end up being ostrized or bullied. Trends like these cause HUGE PROBLEMS. While we had terrible shows that weren't good and could cause possible damage. They were in the minority. These days however.. it's the majority. It's cheap, fast and lazy to make. And thus teaches kids every day must be something new. Trust me as a youtube editor... brainrot content makes me go: "how do they keep it up?" But when you steal, use stolen assets and AI with a decent team. It's not that hard. I fear generative AI will only make brainrot worst....

I’m not a perfect parent so there are things my kids watched before I’d become familiar with them BUT I’m honest with them about social media. My 12 old understands exceptionally well that what he sees on social media, the interweb, is not real life. It’s not how people behave or speak in real life. So they are *very* self aware for their age and have the empathy that so many kids these days lack. And it’s bc of PARENTS. They allow the screen to teach their kids then wonder why they’re deficient in social skills, empathy, impulse control and critical thought. This actually happened to me as a young kid ever since the old brain rot era. When I was young and unmatured, the number of sub farming and fake videos/ads really attracted me to trusting and listening to them what they say to us kids. One time, I tried a free robux website ad to get free robux by putting my real roblox password, which resulted in my account being hacked. This is really terrible.

I despise content farms. when I saw of these as a kid one time I immediately thought “ew that’s weird, way off from the cartoons I watched, and absolute cringe” and immediately clicked away. in my opinion, it feels so embarrassing to watch stuff like these. I can’t imagine myself watching this in public as a kid. The overstimulating visuals, odd and inappropriate scenarios, and even no talking, just random sound effects that make it off putting.
Man, TADC is an awesome show, but it skyrocketed and got fame so quickly, that the brain rot channels just snatched the videos so quickly and destroyed the fandom before it was even made.

I know TADC fandom can get a little quirky, but those content farms have destroyed the fandom and for outsiders who don’t know what TADC is and think the show it like that, but it’s not. The third episode had to crank the horror up to 11 just because of those content farms and I’m very glad they did that.

Content farms online is like a giant Hydra. If you cut off one if it's heads more heads grow back, the only difference however is that it's not a Hydra just a freak of nature.
if you count the time between each cut it’s usually 1-5 seconds, this proves how low our attention span is. we need to be fed different clips consistently just to stay on the video
While I don’t really like the idea of kids watching this stuff, I don’t think the kids watching should necessarily be punished for doing so. Better to keep them talking about what they’ve seen so we can contextualize it and explain it. Punishing them won’t prevent the behavior, they’ll just double down and then not provide any info.
Poppy playtime is actually a great game that’s not intended for the audience that likes it. Same goes for TADC too. It’s honestly a pretty good show. But the fanbase for both of them are absolutely not even supposed to be watching that type of stuff.

I saw Lankybox turn like this, i was there with them since they were at less than 1 million subscribers. they were fun, they really were. they made pretty original videos like "guess the price", "animated story time" and "zero budget music video parodies with their own twist of puns and jokes. Their Roblox games were fun and all in the beginning then they slowly shifted to producing absolute garbage of videos by the time they were nearing 5 million subscribers. This made them famous. like really famous, I remember they did a mukbang thingy for celebrating their 5 million subscribers and I hadn't watched them for a while after that, when i searched for them on youtube BOOM, they had like 17 million or something, they got some female actors to play their sisters and some overanimated shorts and stuff. I was genuinely shocked. At one point they were my top favourites when it came to youtubers. I truly miss them a lot.

Amazing digital circus is actually a dare I say “amazing” show. It’s super well written and if you look past surface level it goes pretty deep. Most of these things considered “brainrot” are only called brainrot because of fan content.
'React' content with no or minimal transformation should be a bannable offense meanwhile the content farm crap targeting kids should get demonetized or age restricted it is very very very disturbing what it does to people's brains especially children. The fact that grown adults let their kids use UA-cam is crazy to me. There is no reason at all for a kid below the age of 10 at least, to be on the internet let alone UA-cam. Toys, books, download video content for that that you have verified. It’s that simple
Exactly. I don’t have any kids but when I do they won’t even have a phone until they’re 13 and even then that’ll be a flip phone. I won’t even give them a smartphone until they’re 15 and even then I’d get them something simple like an iPhone SE, a more stripped down version of the main iPhone lineups. They would learn about responsibility, accountability, and that you don’t have to have much to be happy.
Considering some of the stuff that can naturally show up in recommendations I’m starting to think the 12+ age rating in the App Store might be slightly outdated Also why does stuff from UA-cam kids keep showing up in the main app when that’s a totally different app
exactly what my parents have done; they downloaded trusted videos and bought books and toys. I remember using a computer for the first time at the age of only 2, but never got brainrot. Instead, I used it to play kids videos like "twinkle twinkle" downloaded on the computer. And no, modern cocomelon never existed back in those days of 2011, and today I'm a guy that is smart in Math, Physics and Chem.
Here’s the issue: smaller creators struggle to gain views. We spend hours editing videos, only to receive a fraction of the views we expected. It’s like saying the only way to get big views is to incorporate content from content farms or brain rock, which some UA-camrs refuse to do. Additionally, these videos sometimes contain inappropriate jokes or content in the background.
I don't watch brainrot instead I watch science and video and I one of the smartest in my class alsoa friend older then me is still doing primary 3 math and I was doing s3 math at primary 5 I am going to be an engineer when I grow up!
Couldn’t disagree more. Better parenting is key. Having kids is one of the best joys life has to offer. I say that even not having them myself. If i did have them there would be zero screens, alot of nature, exercise, discipline, faith, arts, music, delayed gratification, ect, ect. Unfortunately there have just been too many parents that have lost the plot. We need more and better parents.

While SOME parents share responsibility and some blame in their inability to raise gen alpha, there are malicious creators mass producing content slop without any care about what they are putting out on the internet and it’s sickening. Take brainrotted toilet, lankybox, and cocomelon, those are awful and have contributed to jeopardizing gen alpha’s social and educational development, with UA-cam not having any quality control.

Honestly that's the main reason why I stayed away from poppy playtime. I saw that one of my favorite content creators was playing it and I was going to watch it, until I saw the content farm versions.

It was such a pleasant surprise to see another youtuber use a clip from FunkyFrogBait, but a pleasant one. I'm glad they're finally getting more recognition, they're almost criminally underrated.
Same, I grew up with Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network and both had legendary shows that made my childhood like SpongeBob, Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron, Powerpuff Girls, Ed Edd N Eddy, Billy and Mandy, and so much more. They are way better than whatever content farm slop is on UA-cam now.
As a kids that not been watch content farm, I understand how painful is is to take down those channel. Literally everytime that content farm video appears on the channel, I like "Get out of my page right now, I am no thank you for appears on my page, so bye".

So sad what LankyBox has become. They used to do parodies of K-pop Music Videos. Which was the reason I subscribed, but then they started uploading garbage, I immediately unsubscribed. Now they are just a channel filled with brain rot content.
Fellow UA-cam scientist Kyle Hill addressed the issue of A.I. content farms when he talked about "science" channels that were spamming videos full of ridiculous and false information. It is, indeed, a very big problem.
I'm a writer and I also use IA for my youtube channel, but only for reading the chapters I wrote, a single chapter being like 15 pages. It was fun at the beginning but then the IA started interpreting my texts and it's become increasingly frustrating. I think I'm gonna stop using it. It's messing up with my story

My favourite thing to do on UA-cam is to quickly exit out of any video I hate. Using the algorithm against bad channels. The faster you exit, the lower down the algorithm that video goes. Not liking, and not commenting also needs to happen, to get maximum effect.

This is the sort of change that on paper would make content creators far more cautious about what they upload. Even uploading a bad video counts for the limit. Unfortunately, this sort of change doesn't favor a system that pushes for quantity if you want to earn a living.
This also doesn't favor UA-camrs who are able to actually upload a lot of high quality content very fast.

They can be the type of guys that can use characters like the ones from Hazbin Hotel into brainrot bs which is absolutely ridiculous and cringe. When I was young and unmatured, the number of sub farming and fake videos/ads really attracted me to trusting and listening to them what they say to us kids. One time, I tried a free robux website ad to get free robux by putting my real roblox password, which resulted in my account being hacked. This is really terrible.

Better to keep them talking about what they’ve seen so we can contextualize it and explain it. Punishing them won’t prevent the behavior, they’ll just double down and then not provide any info.
Poppy playtime is actually a great game that’s not intended for the audience that likes it. Same goes for TADC too. It’s honestly a pretty good show. But the fanbase for both of them are absolutely not even supposed to be watching that type of stuff.

I saw Lankybox turn like this, i was there with them since they were at less than 1 million subscribers.
they were fun, they really were. they made pretty original videos like "guess the price", "animated story time" and "zero budget music video parodies with their own twist of puns and jokes.
Their Roblox games were fun and all in the beginning then they slowly shifted to producing absolute garbage of videos by the time they were nearing 5 million subscribers.
This made them famous. like really famous, I remember they did a mukbang thingy for celebrating their 5 million subscribers and I hadn't watched them for a while after that, when i searched for them on youtube BOOM, they had like 17 million or something, they got some female actors to play their sisters and some overanimated shorts and stuff. I was genuinely shocked.
At one point they were my top favourites when it came to youtubers.
I truly miss them a lot.

Amazing digital circus is actually a dare I say “amazing” show. It’s super well written and if you look past surface level it goes pretty deep. Most of these things considered “brainrot” are only called brainrot because of fan content.

Exactly. I don’t have any kids but when I do they won’t even have a phone until they’re 13 and even then that’ll be a flip phone. I won’t even give them a smartphone until they’re 15 and even then I’d get them something simple like an iPhone SE, a more stripped down version of the main iPhone lineups. They would learn about responsibility, accountability, and that you don’t have to have much to be happy.

Here’s the issue: smaller creators struggle to gain views. We spend hours editing videos, only to receive a fraction of the views we expected. It’s like saying the only way to get big views is to incorporate content from content farms or brain rock, which some UA-camrs refuse to do. Additionally, these videos sometimes contain inappropriate jokes or content in the background.

Couldn’t disagree more. Better parenting is key. Having kids is one of the best joys life has to offer. I say that even not having them myself. If i did have them there would be zero screens, alot of nature, exercise, discipline, faith, arts, music, delayed gratification, ect, ect. Unfortunately there have just been too many parents that have lost the plot. We need more and better parents.

While SOME parents share responsibility and some blame in their inability to raise gen alpha, there are malicious creators mass producing content slop without any care about what they are putting out on the internet and it’s sickening. Take brainrotted toilet, lankybox, and cocomelon, those are awful and have contributed to jeopardizing gen alpha’s social and educational development, with UA-cam not having any quality control.

I'm a writer and I also use IA for my youtube channel, but only for reading the chapters I wrote, a single chapter being like 15 pages. It was fun at the beginning but then the IA started interpreting my texts and it's become increasingly frustrating. I think I'm gonna stop using it. It's messing up with my story
