All Guru Dutt movies are take away films. After viewing his films no one goes empty handed....he leaves his viewer thinking about what's right or wrong. An extremely sensitive, compassionate human was he....hatsoff to his wonderful creations....a very sad feeling he did not live long to make many more such classics... We have lost a highly talented brain long ago for a very sad reason....all his creations n his death is before I was even born but they keep my eyes with tears with the feeling that we have lost such a great artist of all times. He had all the qualities of a perfect actor, director, producer n most of all a god gifted handsome looks n expressive face... actually I have fallen short of words for such a great soul.... thankyou

Superb acting by almost all the actors, including Mala_Sinha. Mala_Sinha, whose acting in almost all the movies she acted were excellent and all the movies were super-hit, could not be given proper recognition either by public or government or Bollywood.
Guru Dutt untimely demise deprived us of so many classics, he died in just 39, and filmi career of only 10 years during which he made several classics, including first cinemascope film of India "Kagaz Ke Phool". He is my favourite.

Wow! What a fabulous film I was engaged with Sharda's indomitable spirit from the off! She was truly a chip off her father's block the same belligerence in pursuing her love no matter what! I loved it! Mala Sinha's divine looks & performance are out of this world! The struggle of the new enlightened India against the old petrified system from which it was emerging are evident in her role as a learned thinking woman within the parameters of the time! Have things changed that much for India's majority in the nearly six decades since this movie's release? Guru Dutt is on par as ever Mohammed Rafi's 'Tu mere samne hai ...' with Mala Sinha's tortured conflicting emotions is to die for! 'Suhagan' is so apt for a relationship unable to be consummated by fate! Apparently a remake of 'Shaarda' a 1960 Tamil film? A wonderful period tragedy takes me back to my early childhood!

Parents should accept the feelings of their's children and they wouldn't be so rigid in their life when they were not in their way to be a good friend .Nazir Hussain rigidity ruined the life of Malasinha and she sacrificed herself to save the life of her husband (Gurudatt)in the end. She fix a great example of of a Indian woman who is in the love of her husband in the sociey. Thanks for uploading it to the new generation 😀.
What is the fault of Nazir Hussain, Guru dutt fall from the building due to this Mala Sinha was tried to keep herself away from him for saving his life. Nazir Hussain had to nothing with this. ♥️

A rare old gem, hardly heard of. The story is the king here. All actors deliver brilliant performances but what stands out tall is Late Madan Mohan's music with two of Rafi saheb's best songs; 1) Mere Pyar Mein Tujhe Kya Mila & 2) Tu Mere Samne Hai Teri Zulfen Hain Khuli. Simply Wonderful.

People were so unhappy at those times. They had so much useless drama and sorrow! I can only imagine life is going to get better from this point. People are getting enlightened and avoid these man made dramas!
Well, I don't think so. This was early times of cinema and all these things totally new for them. And one thing showing respect for your family is not bad. I think those times were more prosperous because the scenes and songs directly enters in your heart.
I am 22 but i hate today music. One thing I appreciate these era for the technology that I can enjoyed these things whenever I want otherwise today's Bollywood is in the bottom.
