I love how the melody and rhythm dissolve, fade away in the middle of the song and pure harmony take the front in long notes overlapping in a short piece of eternity. Time is suspended there. I feel in a sort of exthasy and breathless in that part. I hope and fear that it will last forever because I know I cannot stand it. Then bass and percussion phrases come to my rescue, resuming to beats of life again. I descend from heaven.
So beautifully serene, on the surface. Masterful use of restraint and silence. The last KC configuration before KC became its own best tribute band… And, as always, thank you for fleshing it all out with your comments/recollections.
You're forgetting the Double Duo (00' - 03'). To be fair to the Jakko Crimson, they did change the sound up for several pieces and a there was still some new material: the several drum pieces, Suitable Grounds for the Blues, The Errors, Radical Action / Meltdown, The Light of Day, and the few Im forgetting.
my brother & i made it into this show, we drove from San Jose without tix, scalped two in the balcony, nice version with Fripp adding melotron vox, all the more melodramatic...
I was at this show with a friend and it was a very good show. The next time we saw them on the go around of the tour we saw them at the Berkeley Greek theater and that was an awesome show.
I do not understand why rock radio stations won't play this song. There are a plethora of rock music they simply refuse to play and I don't need to list them, you know exactly what I mean. It's sickening to me they keep playing the same songs over, and over, and over, and over, and over again! So, I only listen to the local Jazz music radio station. Great stuff, great deviation from the same old bullshit.
Already acclaimed, check out: Justin Brown, Arthur Hnatek, Matt Gartska. Justin plays with Thundercat, Ambrose Akinmusire, Tigran Hamasyan among others. Absolutely incredible jazz player. Matt plays with Animals As Leaders (prog metal jassy-ish, but check out the jazz oriented Louis de Miuelle.) Arthur Hnatek plays with Tigran Hamasyan All of these fellows have a diverse number of videos to view on UA-cam. Thanks for all you do Bill!
One time, a former girlfriend, who wasn't into a lot of the music that I liked, came home from work while this song was blasting through the stereo speakers and exclaimed with glee, "Who's this?"
It's a wonderful track. There are some similarities with a track by the Moody Blues called, "The Actor". Ardent upfront vocals, great harmonies, rich instrumentation, haunting background tones, and gentle but prominent and insistent beat.
Once again, it always a pleasure to hear Bill on the kit. My favorite kind of Crim is THRAK, TOAPP, and ProjeKct One. Bill, if you read this and respond 🤯, do you still dislike ProjeKct One?

this will always be my favorite song, you explained it perfectly ! thrak is a god tier album.
This sad song was actually my favorite sad song.
The lyrics always put my right to one of the hardest points in my life, captures it perfectly. Great match to the music.
Of all the great Crimson tunes , my favorite has always been "One Time" As soon as I heard it for the first time. One time, first time!!
This video was my first time. I've gotta pick up a copy of Thrak...
I had a similar experience. First time l heard it l was totally hooked. The same with In the wake of Poseidon and Starless
@@guspapadopoulosme too! ❤
Really ... It's difficult to find a Better poetry piece of music like this❤❤❤
Unreal that some of Crimson’s songs can make me so emotional, they seem to able to just get it. Beautiful piece here
Really enjoy reading Your thoughts and notes in the video description, Thank you!
One of the best songs. The lyrics are transcendent. This is a great live version and mix. Thank you Mr. Bruford.
Love you Bill!!! What a beautiful song.
The brilliant song and the brilliant KC line-up.
When Adrian Belew is asked about time signature of the song, he says something like "I don't know, ask the drummer". =)
Funny...its a waltz.
Adrien often tells the story about Frank Zappa teaching him different time signatures. It was a gift.
must be in jest
Sheer perfection.
I love this song. So much emotion. The middle section completely takes me away. Transcending...
Superb; better than either studio version.
Such a great song from the THrack era. The music and lyrics combine to create a dreamy and ethereal feel
marvellous ... and more than ever Fripp in the Dark ... behind !

This music soothes every pain - but not the pain I have listening to this music
Another master performance!
my brother & i made it into this show, we drove from San Jose without tix, scalped two in the balcony, nice version with Fripp adding melotron vox, all the more melodramatic...
Love it🥰🥰 This is one of my favorite songs too!
First heard this song on the ep Vroom. My comment at the time was “instant classic”.
If this song doesn't move you, nothing will.
Listening to "One Time", one time, is not enough......
Well put. For me one time easily became one thousand.
Aaaah Divino Crimson.....Always By Far..... bien Far Aways......
King Crimson is the ultimate progressive rock band. That can't be a question.
Making the fairly complex sound simple, and effortless. Excellent.
Legendary venue. Sorry I wasn’t in town when this went down.
This is such a great track! One of the first crimson tracks I ever heard. Such a great ballad. Production is good too, very smooth.
I was at this show with a friend and it was a very good show. The next time we saw them on the go around of the tour we saw them at the Berkeley Greek theater and that was an awesome show.
makes me well up every time. and what a diamond, all and each of that double trio
superb.
Belleza extrema
I was in the audience. Such a great show.

Unbelieveable!!!

you are the only one on my list Bill ❤️
It's great to read these texts!
Beautiful!
One of the better tunes on Thrak
It always makes me upset, hearing people disliking this record
Ваша музика, і всі ви особисто це містерія вищого гатунку.
🎧 this one feeds ❤
One time, a former girlfriend, who wasn't into a lot of the music that I liked, came home from work while this song was blasting through the stereo speakers and exclaimed with glee, "Who's this?"
Brings tears to my eyes, this one.
Beautiful...

Long Live Fripp and Crimson!!!!
Gorgeous performance. Thank you! 💙
Absolutely beautiful in every way. Thank you for this amazing upload.
El Doble Trio.....Increíble.....
Great video.
hits my heart❤
Beautiful
Единственные и неповторимые. Навсегда.
каждая группа неповторима. но эти... не от мира сего!
OK! You got me with this one Bill! Now, I can't stop listening to this song over and over in a loop!
I saw King Crimson in 1994, Broadway theatre, Buenos Aires
Once again, it always a pleasure to hear Bill on the kit. My favorite kind of Crim is THRAK, TOAPP, and ProjeKct One. Bill, if you read this and respond 🤯, do you still dislike ProjeKct One?
Thanks for your no-list. (see in description)
That description was both inspiring and instructive. Thank you!
Magnificent!
Such a wonderful song. And Bill, my list starts with your name. (And I’m a guitarist).
Luv it 💛
Wow
I do believe I was at this show. I was well to the back. Wasn't the California Guitar Trio the opening act?
"Thrak" must be the only album I wore out - on CD.
I’m in the audience there somewhere!
I was there, it was a great show. Masterful. Doesn't make me any less mad at you for retiring.
👍👍👍
😊 ✨
Sounds really similar to Radiohead.
Interstellar tune💫
I've loved the multi angle/mix DVD of King Crimson, sad nobodies used this function seriously after :/
Woah is fripp standing?
perła w koronie
The Warr guitar from Trey Gunn is really nice.
I guess that bass drum on 1 3 and the and of 5 can make you wonder what it is ;-)
Kinda short there isn't it?
Боги!
"Shorts" can be Too short...
Ear Candy.
NO Fripp no Crimson
Kinda pisses me off none of the live performers can play the actual recorded bass line
Es perfección musical.
