How to calculate the PMV in compliance with the ISO7730 and EN 16798 Standard using the CBE thermal comfort tool. The Center for the Built Environment's (CBE) Thermal Comfort Tool is a free online tool that complies with the ASHRAE 55-2017, ISO 7730:2005, and EN 16798-1:2019 Standards for thermal comfort calculations and visualizations. It includes the Predicted Mean Vote (PMV), Standard Effective Temperature (SET), adaptive models, local discomfort models, SolarCal, and dynamic predictive clothing insulation, among other models. Thermal comfort zones can also be visualized in a dynamic and interactive way with our technology. The CBE Thermal Comfort Tool has a variety of uses and is utilized by over 49,000 people each year, including engineers, architects, researchers, educators, facility managers, and policymakers all around the world.

Yes, in a way that what it means. There represents different comfort classes. The darkest one use a narrower PMV range
