I love how grotesque the transformations were. It's so easy to be desensitised to the scp professional tone but you nailed the body horror and how grotesque this all is. Phenomenal work!

Every time, I say, "This is one of the best ones yet".. I say it again this time. This one is memorable. I mean, I could watch SCP videos - and specifically Dr Bob - all day, but I could watch this specific SCP instance itself all day.. This was one of the gnarliest ones. Every so often, I'll be in a very specific kind of mood and I'll see just the right kind of video and be utterly transfixed. I knew this was one of those cases at the very beginning while the guy was taking a picture of the deer and it turned and had a human face - I was like, "Ah, hell yea.. Let's do this.." lol.. And the dog? Wild.
Somebody's gotta do a series based on the bear lady and the deer man mentioned... Like them developing speech and possibly a hint of paranormal advantage say, telepathic control to speak their emotions about being studied and held against their will. Maybe they know the true nature and history of the SCP that created their situation because the water effects them on a molecular level thus imprinting into their DNA its own story of existence
As a leopard gecko keeper, I can assure you leopard geckos can't climb walls. The author needs to do research more. Also you should've added the danger of when humans drink the water from the fountain: possibility of internal parasites in our bodies, or the demodex living comfortably on our skin (yes those are animals too) Edit: I can't seem to find the leopard gecko testing log in the SCP article, where did he get that one log?

However, the author of this SCP specifically mention that the animal is "leopard gecko" and not just "gecko," meaning that it specifies on a species of gecko that possesses anatomically different foot structure than "wall-climber" geckos --> their fingers are bent and not equipped with sticky feet that enable the animal to climb surfaces
So most mammals will become humans with some animal characteristics,birds and reptiles will have a lot of human characteristics but still retain their original body plan,while invertebrates will just be practically the same but with very few human characteristics and will not change their body plan

With them already being so close to humans in biology, I'm surprised we didn't see a test subject of ape decent. Chimpanzees, Gorillas, and Monkeys are so close to our basic build already I imagine the mutation would be less painful than for bears, cats, and zebras; and also have a lower mortality rate. Don't worry, the dramatic metamorphosis will most likely destroy the bodily systems of any animal that drinks the water. If they don't die from so many shifting, breaking bones, the shock will kill them, sure enough.

One of the few SCP's that actually disturb me. Not that they're not all a bit disturbing to some extent, some more than others (let's be honest, SCP-5094 - Miss J's Whiz Kidz Schoolhouse for example is relatively sweet/lighthearted SCP compared to most others, at least fro what I understand of it), but I'm in the same boat of being relatively desensitized to this kind of stuff (not trying to flex, I actually feel a need to step away for a bit when I feel like I'm being to desensitized to horror). I think a lot of what gets to me is the section with the dog who had parasites - I'd be panicking over my own dog having any form of parasites, let alone this kind of body horror. Things like this remind me why body horror is one of my favorite kinds of horror - can it be exaggerated? Yes, absolutely, this being a prime example. But also body horror is just having a body that experiences change.

One of the few SCP's that actually disturb me. Not that they're not all a bit disturbing to some extent, some more than others (let's be honest, SCP-5094 - Miss J's Whiz Kidz Schoolhouse for example is relatively sweet/lighthearted SCP compared to most others, at least fro what I understand of it), but I'm in the same boat of being relatively desensitized to this kind of stuff (not trying to flex, I actually feel a need to step away for a bit when I feel like I'm being to desensitized to horror). I think a lot of what gets to me is the section with the dog who had parasites - I'd be panicking over my own dog having any form of parasites, let alone this kind of body horror. Things like this remind me why body horror is one of my favorite kinds of horror - can it be exaggerated? Yes, absolutely, this being a prime example. But also body horror is just having a body that experiences change.
