    Now here's a strange thought. If the Zoo Zipper turns people into animals. Would drinking the water from the statue turn them back into humans? Or maybe the Zoo Zipper might turn the mutanted animals back into their normal selves?

    • @doommagic
      @doommagic Рік тому +99

      ...Actually, that's a really good question. Considering the two SCPs do the opposite of each other, I'd imagine someone must've thought about this before. Whether or not anything has been written about the experimentation of this idea though, I'm not sure.

    • @garg4531
      @garg4531 Рік тому +58

      I imagine it might, but bare in mind the fountain's transformation process isn't as "perfected" as the zipper's, so there's a chance the subject may not survive the process, and if they do it will likely be very unpleasant, both physically and mentally

      @@garg4531 Still, for some of the Zoo Zippers victims, mostly, or even just partially human is better then nothing. I imagine they'd actually take the risk if their was even a chance of getting some of their old self back.

    With them already being so close to humans in biology, I'm surprised we didn't see a test subject of ape decent. Chimpanzees, Gorillas, and Monkeys are so close to our basic build already I imagine the mutation would be less painful than for bears, cats, and zebras; and also have a lower mortality rate. Great work on the animation Dr. Bob, these cases are always so intriguing. 👍

      Don't worry, the dramatic metamorphosis will most likely destroy the bodily systems of any animal that drinks the water.
      If they don't die from so many shifting, breaking bones, the shock will kill them, sure enough.

    One of the few SCP's that actually disturb me. Not that they're not all a bit disturbing to some extent, some more than others (let's be honest, SCP-5094 - Miss J's Whiz Kidz Schoolhouse for example is relatively sweet/lighthearted SCP compared to most others, at least fro what I understand of it), but I'm in the same boat of being relatively desensitized to this kind of stuff (not trying to flex, I actually feel a need to step away for a bit when I feel like I'm being to desensitized to horror). I think a lot of what gets to me is the section with the dog who had parasites - I'd be panicking over my own dog having any form of parasites, let alone this kind of body horror. Things like this remind me why body horror is one of my favorite kinds of horror - can it be exaggerated? Yes, absolutely, this being a prime example. But also body horror is just having a body that experiences change.
