    This video made the process a million times easier. My wife and I were about to pay someone $3000 to file these for us. We talked it over and decided to do it ourselves, but honestly without people like you posting these videos it would've been dang near impossible. So thanks 🙏👍

    Beautiful tutorial, one does not have a clear enough idea of just how dire the situation is these days with information retrieval on Google until he needs to find something very specific like this.
    After dozens of results and websites just regurgitating AI non-answers or trying to sell me something, here I find an honest, meticulous and pragmatic explanation of everything I needed.
    Thank you so much.

    So in a few words is: if I want to translate a personal document by myself I won't have any legal issue doing this? Is this legal? I mean, are these documents accepted for legal precesses?

    • @TexanTranslation
      @TexanTranslation  11 місяців тому

      If you are the person named in the document (as in, you translate and certify your own birth certificate) then it will generally be rejected by most end users. If you're a third party who translates someone else's document accurately and completely, and signs a statement to this effect accompanying the translation and a copy of the original, it is a legal translation for most purposes in the US. Certain end users may require the certification statement to be notarized, and certain state courts may require that the translator of evidence hold an interpreter's credential, but whoever is receiving the translation sets those standards.

      No, usually not. "Delegation" isn't used in English to refer to a certain kind of government office. Depending on the country and context, it could be precinct, office, branch, station, etc.

    If I translate my signature will have to be notarized by a notary correct ? (If required)

    • @TexanTranslation
      @TexanTranslation  3 роки тому

      It depends who the translation is going to. USCIS (the US immigration agency) doesn't require it. Some DMV (drivers license agencies) do, as well as the US passport agency. Most companies and universities don't. I always ask who the end user will be, so I can either prepare the notarized or un-notarized version.

    Very informative! Thank you! I just completed my Medical Spanish Interpreter course. I’d like to start my own home remote translation service. What are the min credentials necessary to achieve this? Associate degree, 160 hr interpreter completion course ok?
    I am scheduled to take the state cert exam but I’d like to get started before that if possible.
    Is it safe for me to translate legal docs or websites wout state cert?

    • @TexanTranslation
      @TexanTranslation  2 роки тому +1

      Well, there are no universal, minimum credentials required by law in the US to translate most documents, but if you're working for a court or attorney, they sometimes require that you be a licensed/certified judiciary interpreter in that jurisdiction.

      @@meetmarco8210 Oh, thanks. If she's in the US, and she wants to certify her translation, she would add a signed statement with her contact information stating something like: "I, (name), certify that I am qualified to translate this document, and that this is a complete and accurate (target language) translation of the attached (source language) document, to the best of my ability." Depending on who's getting the translation, her qualifications and credentials might make a difference, so I always add a brief summary of my education, experience and other qualifications.
