Excellent song 👍 the footage of gorgeous ladies in designer dresses . And again I realize they most likely my mothers age . A hope they aged as gracefully as my dear mother .
Wow,, how cool that sounds! A garage-psych gem with a great bassline groove I could listen to in an loop endlessly,! And how colorful the fashion was back then in the streets of Brussels, London, Amsterdam, etc. I really love this song from a Belgian group and the easier lifestyle which is shown in your perfect video! Yeah, The Tops are top choice, heavenlyblueorange! Thx
GREAT....JUST GREAT....!..HAS ENYONE HERE ,WENT TO ''MATALA'' AT THE ISLAND OF CREETE IN GREECE....BACK THEN ?..[early 70's]...MANY HIPPIES IN THE CAVES....was the ''IN''....SPOT AT THAT TIME...as ''ibiza''....I WAS PRETTY YOUNG...BUT I REMEMBER...!GREETINGS FROM GREECE
On a hot day like today, this is the right music! And even from my southern neighbours! There's a lot to see in your video, besides the pretty ladies and classic car models, the length of the fashion stands out. Also striking in the street scene is the couple dressed all in black. They almost look like New Wave/Gothic as we know it from the late 70s and 80s. Fascinating clip!
Edwin, what a find, l didn't know this gem! I'm really impressed, the song sounds so easy going and sunny, but has a great psychedelic effect with its recurring elements! Did you know this excellent pearl, my garage and cave mate? Greetings
@@berndjenter4005 Bernd, my garage mate from Hamburg! How beautifully you described that in your comments! You have something poetic in your way of expression. Yes, the song really appeals to me too! And like you, I knew neither the band nor this song. The video is also intriguing. I also look at it from a historical and artistic point of view. They remain fantastic time capsules of a period gone by. I hope you are doing well Bernd! Greetings!
Thanks Edwin, you can call me Heine, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, or just Hank Chinasky! They say Germany is the country of poets and thinkers, although I can't believe it! Cheers, Lord Byron aka B.J. P.S. Your writing isn't bad as well! Btw I don't know any Dutch poets, only great painters!
Wonderful psychedelic folk. Is that electric sitar? Doesn't reflect the sounds of 1972. Perhaps a bit dated? It really doesn't matter. It's great psych any way you slice it. HBO, you're video is tops. Dedicated followers of fashion.
Sounds like a slightly out of tune 12 string. Sitar is a bitch to play; he'd have to have some skill. Funny how the 60s sensibilities held on into the 70s until punk and disco blew up the mass marketing approach. !967 acid freakout morphed into Bubblegum as the bridge, with the Peter Max psychedelia-lite and the attendant macrame and Laugh-In pastiche.
@@solitaryman777 A company called Coral made an electric sitar played like a regular guitar with 6 strings. It had 13 (I think) "drone" strings that rang sympathetically. Heard on The Box Tops "Cry Like a Baby".

How refreshing, What a great song with a great film of people shopping at independent retailors, and not mobile phone in sight.
3 Very Pretty Ladies!!!!💓💓💓💓
Such an HBO-esque tune, never heard it before and its magnificent 😎
I absolutely love this song. Great video to accompany the tunes too. You simply don't get great music and fashion like that anymore 😢❤
Nesse canal, é certeza de vídeos fabulosos!

Jim Sullivan played the electric sitar, as in here, in an episode of the the sci fi series Space 1999 :

"Cry Like A Baby" yeah, I know that one. How about "Green Tambourine"
by Lemon Pipers.
It has that same sound.

STILL THE SEXIST ERA.
they look so oppressed
The cars, the music, the clothing and more freedom(1960's). I think the more free a people the more creative they are.
