I was privileged to share dinner with Farley & his wife in Vancouver during the premiere of "Never Cry Wolf"...he is one of my all-time favorite authors...I was the head-trainer of the wolves (2nd year) on "Never Cry Wolf"...have worked on many film productions since this one but it has always been my most memorable production as well as my favorite...my sincere condolences to Farley's family and friends.
I read Farley Mowat’s book when I was young and now I have rediscovered him. I loved his books when I was young and now even more so. An impressive person whom the world will miss.
I read his books when I was young and now I have rediscovered him. I loved his books then and I still do! An impressive author and he will be greatly missed in this world.
A friend of mine introduced me to Farley's books back in the 8's. and I've been in love with those books ever since. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to meet him. I found his writing to be humourism and well.
A beautiful human, his books gave us so much as kids, Today his words resonate even more, Thank you Farley for meeting with us in vancouver back in 1998 and sharing your thoughts, Gone never forgotten.
Every summer my grandfather would take be up to Arctic to live with the animals. It’s a memory my grandfather gave me that I will never forget. Never Cry Wolf.
Just finished his book Bay of Spirits and was so horrified by the end with the 'target shooting', by idiots, of a pregnant whale that I had to know more. I was once the head of an organization with a land trust and I was SO profoundly moved to find the Mowats were adding to the lands protected in perpetuity. It is one of the few ways we can truly ensure Humans dont run amok of all the earth. Thanks George S.
Farley was my uncle and I will miss him dearly R.I.P Farley Mowat
