@@jackb5384 That seems like a fair point that i haven't thought but when i think about it you're very much right there are a lot of things pointing to it but on the other hand if also feels like there is much more, is it not?
It feels to me like ... taking this sense we have, especially right now, that nothing is normal, and reminding us that "normal" was never what we thought of it as? Like, yes, we keep saying "this is not normal", and we know why we kept saying that, but *normal* is not what we were taught that "normal" is. We say "this is not normal" because this is not familiar and it doesn't make sense, but the familiar didn't make sense - we remember it as making sense because we didn't question it, and we shouldn't be trusting that memory. We need to remember how little sense "normal" makes, and acknowledge that "this is not normal" means a lot less than we might have thought.
@@Packbat To me this feels more fitting given the concept but in the music there are some trends that are been repeated like childrens and it feels not right to say "yes that is it" but your opinion opened my mind to much more thanks a lot 😄
@scarfacenwt as Semih Ezen said, I'm missing stuff - I'm picking up elements that I recognize from a piece full of elements I don't and connecting them in my mind, and it's incomplete, it's missing stuff ("life is not a mistake"? what does that mean?), it doesn't pull all the pieces together. I think it's important to know that normal is not what we were sold on normal as meaning - normal is not natural and good and unquestionable, it's an experience that people create in each other. And I pulled out the pieces I could to support that. And I don't know what those pieces were meant to mean. ... but it doesn't feel like a piece that's meant to be understood, so maybe that's what we should all be doing: accepting the mood it creates and finding meanings from it that make it mean more to us.
It is an accident: Mistake: an act or judgment that is misguided or wrong. Accident: an incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury.

What a trip. This song in particular brought tears to my eyes
I never thought I would call a Negativland song beautiful, but here we are.
Normally I don't like things, luckily this is not normal

All the little kids barking warms my heart so much :)
This is so impressive and timely. Zenned-out, take a deep breath. The chorus of children and dogs barking is so pure and joyful.
I love the fact that the puma that appears was one of my country, saludos from Chile!
Utterly brilliant...
This was probably the most normal song I’ve ever heard. Thank you for this gift
beautiful, late-period Undeworld vibe. also just realized "negativland" and "underworld" are basically synonyms
It's weird realizing that this track was released on an album a full two months before the first cases of COVID-19 were identified.
Yes and now we are living in the age of the "new normal"

sentimental in their old age, love it

This videos sent me head first into an existential crisis

as a young boy in rural America with a CD of Guns I dreamed that one day negativland would be like this.
C'est le médecin, at this moment: all I need! Thank you v. much
still love negativland_
