Mr. Yang have you seen videos on grafting using drill , inserting scion wood in tree trunks. Solid connection, just nt sure of how much damage done to rootstock. I do alot of peach, pear, apple. Stone fruit seems T-bud graft or even the reverse T-bud graft works very well for me. Better than chip bud grafting

@kennethflynn2469 Thanks, I once saw, but personally, I feel a little bit weird and not necessary. The branch is not aligning with rootstock but vertical to the branch. Actually, the alinement for cambium between rootstock and scion is critical.
Regarding t budding or chip budding, it is pretty much the same, but kind of t budding is more secure, but anyway, you will wrap using grafting tape. Both are using the chip, which only has one bud for later sprouts.
BTW, I have videos on my channel specifically regarding budding and grafting.

Nice. When are you grafting to the orange (rootstock)?

@@LAyangfamily Thankyou. We want to graft Meyer Lemon to a Bearrs Lime, when should we take the Meyer Lemon scion wood , and when should we graft to the Bearrs Lime. We are located in Zone 10a. Thankyou.

@ks1517 Based on your location, I think you can graft anytime year round because your local weather is pretty warm. The reason I say this is based on my successful experience, I once grafted some citrus tree scions in the fall (we are in 9a), they all survived, some of them are producing grapefruit (check my video on my channel). But spring might be the best season if you want to wait. Good luck. 👍

@@LAyangfamily Thankyou very much. Have you tried grafting at the same time you gather scion wood, instead of keeping the scion wood cool, prior to grafting in Spring?

@ks1517 Actually, I always use fresh scion wood for grafting.
