Gonna take the gamble and wait to see if 2+ years from now we get a special color version of Mechagodzilla 21, It's tempting to get him now and have the Monsterverse collection completed but I'm still feeling a little burned on how dull the first release of Ghidorah 19 was only for them to now be re-releasing it again with a much better paint job, arguably how it should have been painted in the first place.
Yeah I think this one could be worth gambling on... I think a good chance we might get a suped up version like Shin Godzilla got. It will be interesting to see how his price goes in the coming months.
Awesome detail I wish there's more should be included just like Proton scream,Plasma Effect,Drilling Tail part Oh be careful the hydrolic inner thigh section some of copy has broken report
11:50 Godzilla was 6.5 inches tall (movie he is 393 feet) Kong was 6 inches tall (movie was 337 feet) Mechagodzilla was 7.5 inches tall (movie was 400 feet) I think the Mechagodzilla look and is WAY too tall. He should be a lot smaller
Well, I saw a different comment on a different video that said that the reason that the red glow wasn’t there was because it only started glowing brightly when mg got possessed, so this figure is mg not possessed mg.
You're right about the shadows! At first I was worried the one tone colour would negatively effect this guy, so I'm glad that's not the case. The figure looks seamless, Bandai Tamashii has definitely taken the "ugly gaps" argument to heart in recent releases, I'm glad that's been addressed more (now if only the eyes and teeth issue would get addressed) The neck articulation is surprising, and the tail looks phenomenal! I'm slightly disappointed about the waist however, not even a crunch?! oh well. diffidently gotta be careful with the hip joints, there's already been a decent amount of breakage reports.
Someone else mentioned the the breakages too... I wonder where it broke and what they were doing with him. He feels really solid so I am kinda surprised but maybe they pushed it to far and broke the rods for the pneumatics when putting back in? The colour has grown on me more than I have had him, he plays really well with light and shadow due to his design which is cool!
@@drenx87 the size is fine to stay in scale with the rest of the GvK Sh figures and it is taller than godzilla like it should be. All it needs is effects in like an expansion set (like the effect sets that came with the vehicles, beams, and buildings) or a second version as already mentioned with all of the effects included.
Awesome review man! I did not expect to like this fig as much as I do. The cons don't really bother me, as I like the "new" look to him. My Gundam models all look minty fresh, so I dig that aesthetic. The hydraulics, head and tail all look stunning IMO. A real home run.
Yeah the cons I have are not big or ones that would stop me from getting. I was having another look after the review and the finish does not bother me as much now but I think it depends more on the lighting in the room. If the lighting is a bit softer from one direction the colour looks darker and the shadows really help. Overall I am happy and enjoying him, more so than I expected since his design is not my favourite.
@@mozambique9113 They did a special version for the 89 Godzilla a few years ago which had lights and music! Though he was bigger than the normal sized SHMA. Biolante also has an LED in her chest which is cool! I have a review of her which you can check out.
Esta figura a comparación de su versión fílmica es mucho más grande que Godzilla, en la película apenas se notaba la diferencía de tamaño pero en las figuras es muy notable
Okay, I was hesitant before I saw this video about getting him. He’s definitely awesome looking and I’m strongly considering getting him but a part of me keeps thinking to wait. The reason is because tamashii might end up releasing another version with beam and rocket effects along with an interchangeable tail tip where he could have his drill. On the other hand though if I wait too long he’ll slip out of my reach just like most of the other Mechagodzillas.
Yeah that is the hard part aye... I can understanding waiting but I would probably still grab this version if you can for retail. At the very least if they release another version you could probably sell this one for the same or slightly more to cover the cost of the new one.
@@Rockchala_YT Hey, have you heard at all if there’s a quality control issue going on with the pistons in his legs? I ordered one from Sideshow and they came broken and when they sent me a new one it also had broken pistons.
@@Predatorwarrior18 Cant say I have seen or heard of issues. It is possible that shop just got a bad batch? Assuming you are buying local in the USA hit up Bluefin/Bandai and they should help you out with replacement parts.
@@Rockchala_YT I don’t think it’s a bad batch. I’ve been doing research and it turns out that figure has become notorious with having broken pistons while still in the package. In fact a lot of collectors have become hesitant on buying them because they’re afraid of getting broken on arrival and considering the price is at least 150, who could blame them? And they’re broken in a way where not even a replacement part would help because the part of the ball joint on the piston, that connects into the figure was completely snapped off. Leaving the knob still inside the slot that it pops into if that makes sense.
A battle damaged version would be great, though I was really surprised how good he does look with the basic colour job. Does vary a bit with the lighting which looks really nice.
Just a question but since you answered my which one was better opinion, why do you think it is better? I’m not disagreeing it’s just a question, I am definitely get ultima it’s still on pre order for me but it should come soon Edit: Also thank you, because of your reviews and replies I know what figures to get and which to pass I’m a quite new subscriber but I love your content, I can see in the near future me watching you for 2022 figure releases because I know your a trustworthy reviewer and that you actually reply to comments which not much UA-camrs do, so Thank you!
Thanks man, glad you enjoy and find the reviews helpful! As for why I went with Ultima it is more due to a preference in design plus he has an amazing tail and really great size while being at a good price. Mechagodizilla is a a great addition to the collection and goes well with the Gvk Godzilla and Kong but he is also pretty expensive and I think most people would prefer a battle version with effects and more red areas on him etc
Awsome figure, probably the best S.H. MonsterArts release in the last 3 years
Not after the qc issue
Broken pistons everywhere
They only what i can say here is
Bruh
This is a great figure. But for the price it STILL could have a least came with a proton scream affect.
the most waited in the world
Just mind that leg articulation, those hydraulics can break off if you try to move them where they're not supposed to.
I absolutely love Godzilla so much and this is the best I’ve seen so far when I first watched Godzilla
You’re one of my most favourite SHMA figure reviewers
Thanks! Hope you had a good xmas too!
Now that you’ve got the MG figure do you still think that mecha is more worth it then Ultima it are you still sticking with Ultima being better?
I think Ultima is the ultimate winner of 2021 and if I could only have one I would go with him.
@@Rockchala_YT ok
Monster art mecha godzilla if you open it looks like ASMR😃😃😃
I guess it’s a lot easier to replicate a mecha in an action figure than a living animal

Since when was it out in december
Always for Japan.
Becarefull when moving his thighs because of the piston is easy to broken 🤕😢
I really do like this figure but the fact it doesn't have any torso moving parts Is a big let down
It is a shame but I don't think it is too noticeable not having it.
Yeah I'm still gonna get him though
Looks good only real criticism i have is there isn’t much red on it
More red would of been nice, but the subtle bits he has do work well. Cant wait to see if they do a powered up/enraged version in the future.
ITS FINALLY OUT
.also the tail of the mechagodzilla should be longer just like shin godzilla.
The disappointment thing about the figure is it doesn’t have the red parts on its body
And the articulation in fingers
articulating hands/fingers would of been great ;(
It also would have been nice if it came with the proton scream like sh monsterarts’ 2019 Godzilla did with the atomic breath
