    I have been using a fully loaded 24l Tenba solstice for 2 years. Other bags get torn. Tenba withstood all the heavy use. Solid bags.

    I’ve rocked Tenba bags for over 7 years now and love the minimalist, tactical design they’ve shifted over to. The Axis V2 improves over some issues I had with the original not having a trolley strap to attach to roller bags during trips, as well as the previous laptop location. My comments from years ago were replied to personally by the VP…now they’re changed. Coincidence? Maybe…but I like to think I made it happen. LOL jk
    Their quality is among the absolute top of all bags. ThinkTank has been great too, but the Tenba designs just seem more thoughtful. I honestly never travel without them. My main bag is their Roadie roller bag. OH!! their DNA Messenger bags never get left at home for on any shoot - they’re truly terrific.

    You got me when you threw the accessories over your shoulder..! Seriously, I have the 16-liter size and I absolutely LOVE it. It is perfect for 90% of my shooting with one camera. It's when I need two cameras & gear that it is a bit too small. I'm trying to decide between the 20 and 24-liter size as a second pack for those multi-camera times. (I actually have a larger bag from F-stop but as I get older it is TOO big to carry gear in as the glass weighs so much.) After watching your video, I think I may go with the 20. Thanks!!

    Man I spent (1) month 8 hours a day searching for the perfect camera bag and it doesn't exist! Final today I purchased my upcoming South Africa Tenba Axis V2 32L bag and can't be more stoked on the quality, layout, the empty bag weight, size (meets US airlines requirements 22''x14''x9'') full loaded comfort (R3, R5, Rf 100-500, RF 28-70, RF 85, RF 100, etc...) and the price, half the price of its competitors with the Tenba dealer down the street. Got the same color "Multi-Cam black" as shown, yes this is my first Tenba bag, I reorganized those dividers so my two cameras lay horizontal with the lens attached not going to axis the cameras through the top or side axis turned those areas into storage, brilliant. Nice video I can tell your stoked as well!
    *My one wish for this bag now since its loaded is around (6) CFexpress size dedicated slots with vel-cro lids under the business card slot as there's room and its empty space. (6) LP-E19 battery size slots with lids under those CFexpress slots.

    thank you for your review. It helped me realize this is way to big for my needs. Most of the time you have the feeling you need to fill the entire bag, and then it gets way to heavy to carry. That is why I sold my previous camera bag. The smaller sizes Tenba Axis V2 do not accommodate my 16 HP ZBook G8 laptop, but this would accommodate it. So, I'm a bit in a dilemma. Probably I will just go with the Tenba Solstice 20L since it's less than half the weight of the axis v2 24L, and find a different separate solution for the laptop

    A very in-depth review indeed. I viewed it a couple of times, and checked out the bag. It was fantastic. I definitely needed a dual side opening option to grab camera from one side and either a lens or a flash from the other. I finally went for ThinkTank Urban Access 15 as it had the options I needed, though I loved the material and the Molle features of Tenba.

      @alekszaborski I wanted dual access, and the front pouch in urban access was useful to stow charger, caps and sun glasses. If Tenba had dual access, I would have gone for that.

    I have a 32l one. It’s massive and quite bulky but holds all of my gear and 13" laptop in case. The build quality is stunning.
    It fits:
    13" MBA in Thule case
    D750+sigma35/1.4 attached
    Z6II+50/1.8S attached
    70-200/4
    85/1.8
    14-24
    4 flashes (SB900 size)
    Accessories (powerbank, FTZII adapter, cables, charger, AA batteries, reporter strap dualX, and some private stuff in front pocket)

    Thanks for the amazing review on this bag, Chase; I'm sold! The pouch idea is an excellent way to keep small gear together and accessible. I also like that the waist belt is removable; the blue tooth tracker in a bag is another great selling point. The sturdy dividers are a must for expensive gear; nice to see that comment in your review. Lastly, I have watched your videos for years, and your advice is accurate and consistent. You are funny and make me laugh every time I watch a review, but I know I can trust what you say. Keep up the good work; it keeps me coming back to your channel for advice.

    Question/answer that I can’t seem to find…. Besides, my mirrorless I also have two 1dx that I would like to carry with lenses attached. Will this fit those?
    If not, do you have a suggestion of which bag that might be?
    Traditionally my Pgytech onemore 22L has my r5 w 24-105 2.8 & the R6mii w 15-35 - I squeeze an 85 1.2 + batts etc in. It’s tight.
    But My 1dx’s I just can’t find a bag … I’d like 1dx w/ 70-200. I can do the other alone + 100-400, 1.4x, or sigma 70-600 alone depending on shoot (or not bring).
    With my age and the weight of these, I am not looking to carry all of that in 1 bag! I need 2 bags

    As far as i'm aware though the Axis 32L which is what I was going to buy next month can carry a 17" laptop whereas the new V2 32L can only carry a 16" laptop. I have a 17" laptop, plus it appears the V2 has a slightly smaller main camera compartment than the original Axis backpacks and the price is £90 more than the original one too. That has put me off buying one. I wanted the 32L.

    • @peterwaisnor2241
      @peterwaisnor2241 2 роки тому

      The laptop compartment dimensions for the v2 32L are 12x14.75x.75". You could compare that with your laptop dims to see if it would fit. The v2 32L fits a slightly smaller laptop than the previous version, but that's because we moved the laptop sleeve out of the camera compartment where it was competing for space, and it's now on the front, where it's much easier to access at airport security and every other time you want to get at it. But admittedly that resulted in a slightly smaller laptop sleeve.

    • @djteknovibe93
      @djteknovibe93 2 роки тому

      @@peterwaisnor2241 That's my point, Tenba have made the laptop compartment smaller on the V2 and yet the price is around £90 more than the original bag.

    • @peterwaisnor2241
      @peterwaisnor2241 2 роки тому +1

      @@djteknovibe93 I understand your disappointment. Obviously if you need a larger laptop sleeve, then nothing I say will fix that. Large laptops are always a bit of a design challenge for us, I totally admit that. But I will note that for those who have a 16-inch or smaller laptop, the new design is just so much easier and more convenient to use. A 2.5 kg laptop in the old rear sleeve made getting to the camera gear a bit annoying. Now that issue is solved. And the new sleeve is much easier to access at airport security, or even just out at a coffee shop. Regarding the price change, a lot has to do with the upgraded exterior fabrics that are more rugged and water repellant, and also the more ventilated and comfortable harness. We spent three years working on the new update to Axis. For the right user (and the right laptop), the new version is amazing.

    • @djteknovibe93
      @djteknovibe93 2 роки тому

      @@peterwaisnor2241 On the Tenba website it states a 17" laptop will fit in the new V2 backpack in the specifications and description but in the photos on the product page it says a 16" so what is it? A 17" or 16" it can fit in the laptop compartment?

    • @peterwaisnor2241
      @peterwaisnor2241 2 роки тому

      @@djteknovibe93 It can fit a 17-inch Dell XPS and other similar very thin/compact 17” laptops, but it won’t fit larger 17” machines. The laptop sleeve dims are 12W x 14.75H x .75D in.

    Today I got this bag and I’m completely disappointed. Because I have had 24l tenba axis previous version for 2 years, the quality was much much better and I don’t know why they discontinued that models. I just wanted a bigger size bag with the same quality. This new version has cheaper materials and all the dust and dirt stick to the bag. So I’m returning this one now.

    How is the quality of Tenba these days? I checked them out a few years ago and they had a lot of features I wanted but the bags felt kind of cheaply made.
    I wish someone like Bellroy would make a camera backpack that did not look like a camera backpack. I dont want a massive tactical camera backpack that screams I have $10k in camera gear in this bag. The Brevity jumper is basicly what I want but it feels so cheap. A backapack with just enouch camera space for a body with lens and 1 more smaller lens and the rest of the pack portioned for generals use would be perfect. Bascily all camera backbacks assume you are a wedding photographer and are bringing a massive kit with you. Why is there almost nothing for day use, if I'm going our for a day I dont need every single lens I own with me.
