Had the Kiboko for several years - great backpack! Bought the Chobe last year - also a winner. Thanks Chase! These guys are the real deal! Shout out to Andy Biggs and his fabulous Africa photography and safaris.

I got this bag for its "original" intent, for Safari because you can carry long telephoto zooms attached to a camera on either side of the bag during a safari. I had my 100-400 GM on the A1 on one side and 24-105 G on a A7R4 on the other side so I don't have to change lenses on the safari truck. It would also fit a 200-600 G attached to the A1 but I had to stick with the 100-400 due to weight restrictions. I tried many bags and this is the only one that can carry two cameras with long zooms attached. The workmanship and material are great.

We need a 30min+ review of that water bottle. If something has beaten Camelbak then it must be something good.

I gave the thumbs up 30 seconds into the video. The blue line under the zipper and the butterfly lid. Awesome

I still have a Gura Gear Uinta backpack that I’ll break out every so often when I need to carry a lot of stuff

Hey Chase! Any plans to review the Evergoods CTB35? Upgrading an Osprey Porter 46L, and agonizingly torn between the CTB35 and the Peak Design Travel 45L! Leaning toward the CTB35 - recently adopted Evergoods CPL24 as my EDC for return to office days, psyched for the similarities in design, but for some reason fixated on the fact that CTB is smaller than my older 46. Though I will say with Evergoods' dedicated volume bent, the CTB35 feels larger than just 35L.

Ok ok. It was between this and the Compagnon Element Backpack. The Compagnon is backordered so I might just have to go with this one. Absolutely love the butterfly opening.

I like the design of the butterfly main compartment zipper but i hate when the "quick access" front flaps are paper thin and hold only the thinnest of items. id like this one if it was thinner and not so thicc boi like a luggage bag. but like you said its for ACTUAL nature hauling. do you have a video on every day carry small laptop one body one lens some filter street bike bags? would love to see that. im addicted to backpacks

So … my issue is carry on with strict international airlines. I get that this is a great pack for bush planes, but what about the 20 hour flights to get to safari. I need to know my gear will be with me on that flight. Can’t find anything that assures me about this. Thanks for any info on this point

Hi Chase. Great review as always. Is there any chance of a version which opens against your back so it is more secure? If you wish to store the camera and mic together you should give the Solstice 24l as it is extra deep and similarly customisable. In no way does it have the same number of internal pockets though. The only downside on the Solstice for me is the lack of D clips and molle straps on the shoulder straps. I spent way too much money seeking a valid replacement do those so as to attach a breast/shoulder strap pocket.

I’ve watched this and your multi bag 2021 review. How does the Gura Gear Kiboko compare to the Peak Design Everyday bag that you liked in the 2021 review?

Any chance a review for the evergoods ctb35 is coming in the future? Would love to get your opinion on it :)

Do you know the real weight of the Kiboko 22L? In B&H Reviews i read that the weight is 2.3kg instead of 1,68kg... maybe it is a net weight without dividers....

unfortunately the 30L/32L Kiboko V2 is smaller than previous bags. I would like to Gura Gear to make a 32L (thicker) to hold a 600mm lens. Also like the butterfly design where the top flips open

Kinda dumb how the 30L bag doesn’t have a laptop compartment.

The marketing "the couple" makes about this backpack made it over price. There are plenty of other backpacks that beat this one hands down and the prices are better than this one. Hopefully "the couple" will not start "promoting" other backpacks LOL
