Who didn't standout is my question ! And from what I seen it was the lack of a point guard . The Heat summer lead team best performance thus far occurred when Isaiah Stevens was on the floor . Isaiah Stevens should have played to show if his point guard play can translate to other players without Kel el Ware on the floor .
The Heat needs a dynamic player at point guard , someone with good court vision , who can make the game easier for other players , Isaiah Stevens is the guy .

He looked the most comfortable running the offense in this portion of the Summer league. I'm convinced Dru has nudes of someone in the organization. He's old for a prospect and has zero upside.

I would put my money on Cole slider. Keep them in the system. Neither one of them have the shooting touch that that young man has at some point in time we must understand we must score.
I don’t think anyone should temper expectations for Kel’el Ware. He’s either a huge win or we made no improvement this offseason. & he may be a game changer so.. just hope he is
Isaiah Stevens clearly is the stand out PG in the Summer League. Don't think it will change in Las Vegas. There's a reason why Stevens didn't play versus the Lakers. Same reason Larrson, Ware and Swider didn't play. Heat (like myself) have seen enough. Stevens, Larrson, Ware, Swider, Johnson are the only 5 players I want to see join the 15 man roster.

I’m getting really sick of hearing that I should pencil the Heat in to be a stupid, rigid team from people like Ethan.
“Temper expectations about Ware playing next to Bam”. Why, so that we can be the same team that didn’t look like it had a prayer against most of the good teams last year?
Why are we not trading Jimmy? Because we’re trying to win this year. Why would we win when we aren’t changing anything from last season? Why are we still debating what combination of Terry, Tyler, and Duncan will start this year instead of admonishing any consideration of it? None of those pairings are good, or have data that suggests anything else. We’re gonna wear Bam out again when these guys are getting consistently run over by the leagues best guards?
Ware is the one guy that changes the complexion of this team. We drafted him with the goal being to move Bam to the 4, which would drastically improve our defense, and give us a release valve on offense. Nah, let’s try to fit square pegs in round holes again, maybe Ware starts midway through the season when we have a middling record, so that we only have half a season to accomplish the vision.
All great points except for worrying about Bam. I’m sick of this fanbase treating Bam with kid gloves. He’s 27. He should play 82 games, 40 minutes, at 💯. This isn’t the Hornets organization. This is an organization of legends: Alonzo; Wade, LeBron; Playoff Jimmy (48 minutes on injury scoring 30+ and playing the best defense). Stop making excuses for Bam and hold him to a Heat star standard. This organizations and their fans have gotten soft
Feel bad for you. He's not going to start next to Bam this year. You've already set yourself up for disappointment by thinking that was going to happen.
Ethan is telling you to temper your expectations because it's true. Starting a rookie day 1 so the team's most important player can change positions does not move Spo's "does this help us win" needle. Ware would have to be PHENOMENAL for that to happen.
They'll look at Ware at the 5 and Bam at the 4 during camp, then file it away for later use if they need a spark after the all-star break, or after Ware improves on things like screens and switching.

Trade everyone besides Bam there all just role players. Nothing special I said it 4 games watching Tyler in his first year with the Heat and everyone blocked me for saying it . there’s not one player who looks like future Allstar at the moment. its taking how many years to get a player like bam . I will stop watching the Heat period if they lose bam . Because he wakes up one day and say enough is enough give me someone who can truly ball . None of these young players are a future wade . More like a future role player period 🔥🔥🔥🔥

We have went from competitors to just settling for wmca Team aim Dead 🤦♂️ we have suck ever since lebron left not sure these kids have ever seen real ball . There he is! The “it’s just summer league” oracle. Niko and Jaime became key players for us thru summer league program. We developed Caleb Martin, Vincent, Strauss. Haywood thru the summer league. It matters wee are developing important squad players for the future and we should be excited about what we are seeing so far! No need to downplay things just coz you’re irritated we don’t have Celtics roster
