I like the modern Hemi idea, Steve. Its good to see some new content from you. Without RKG, your UA-cam channel is the only way to get a dose of the Dulcich!
Good to see that the MMT is being reserrected! A Hemi sounds real good, and the T-56 sounds even better! Looking forward to this one, for sure. Thanks for the update, Dulcich!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
I love that truck. It brings me back to my Nanny's car. Which is the vehicle that is responsible for me being a gearhead. She was a single lady and My dad use to make me work on her car as a kid, so I would learn mechanicing. Her car was a 1975 Plymouth Fury. 2dr, 318 V8. Her car was exactly the same color as ur muscle truck.
The Gen 3 Hemi stroker and 6 speed sound like a great combo. Just don't forget to upgrade the rear axel and suspension as well as I seem to remember that blowing up with one of the small block combos, in case the reas suspension was never dialed in correctly. Unless that was fixed and I'm just not remembering it
i didint realise how much i missed motor trend content till watching dulcich walking around doing little updates like this! sucks being in australia an cut off from all the mtod shows i loved.
The Little Red Express Trucks were step side trucks also. I love the step side beds and the aluminum slots look good on your truck. I'll be looking forward to seeing the Hemi install and your first drive with it.
Personally, I always wanted to build a 400B block with 440 connecting rods and Custom Ross forged pistons, but then leave the stock stroke so it has the 2.0 rod ratio. Then put on a set of those Hemi conversion heads, that would be sooo cool..... Then just to make it really fun, a turbo, or maybe even twins, with a Holley HP fuel management system. I think my current favorite transmission is the A518/46RH, professionally built of course, and an 8 3/4 sure grip. But you got to admit, them Ford 9's are one hard to beat differential.... Mopar Super Stock rear leaf springs???
Reminds me of my 78 Utiline. You might have seen it at the Duct Tape drags last year. Has an eagle Hemi and 545RFE. Got it similar to yours, no dash at all and $1500 delivered. The body on yours is much nicer though.
This sounds like a sweet plan Steve. Just watched Engine Masters on your 408 Stroker MOPAR. Awesome job. Can’t wait to see the gen 3 Stroker Hemi swap and 6 speed. Remember to upgrade the rear differential too I thought you broke it on a episode of roadkill garage.
My 318 runs nothing like that one you have in there, I’ve ported my stock heads which I know a better set of heads would help it a lot, I’ve put on a Weiand Stealth intake and 600 cam edelbrock carb but can’t get anything like yours 😂😂 I’m going to build a 360 up and stuff it in mine with better heads of course, my truck is a 1988 Dodge D250, it’s a good looking truck, the 318 runs great that’s in it, thanks for making videos and keeping us updated, you make awesome straight to the point videos and I like it
Can't wait to see how you install that Gen3 Hemi. I have a 77 Dodge W100 that needs some work. It's currently got a 440 and automatic. It came new with a 360. I put the 440 in it in 1991 or so.
Boooo! You need 500+ cubes of mopar big block and a lenco transmission. Oh and some tunnel ram too. J/k this will be a very cool idea and sounds like the mopar version of the original muscle truck. Bravo sir. Good luck and I look forward to seeing it completed
I’m a Chevy man but I’ve ALWAYS digged the mopar muscle truck!!! I have a small block mopar and transmission out of a 80s dodge truck I’m gonna do a budget build on
hey steve! im using an a833 behind my 6.1 hemi! all you need to do is trim the input shaft, get a flywheel from rylis pro. and a bellhousing from holley and you're good to go. message me if you need any help
Although a gen 3 hemi sounds awesome, would be very powerful, not to mention just plain reliable, my mind lingers on a hotted up, junk yard 360 torque monster. Something us budget junkies could sink out teeth into. Always loved this truck and the story behind it. I really dug that nasty little 318 you had in it at one time. Damn Steve, no one can roast a mill like you can-keep up the good work. would love to see the build series on this one.
At this point, there are very few (good) LA or Magnum SBMs in the junkyard. The 5.7 Hemi (GEN III) is the 'new' junkyard swap, primarily from 03-08. Even those engines are already 15-20 years old, most with 100+ thousand miles.
Itès a awesome truck i have always been a fan of the early 70ès Dodge trucks. I have a 83 D100 short box with a 318 in it and a built engine on a engine stand in my garage that was supposed to go in the truck already but with the cost of fuel I have put it on hold and going to keep the 318 til fuel gets cheaper then Ièll swap it out real quick.
You should put the hellcat drivetrain that y’all pulled out of the charger in it. I had a 78 warlock 2wd roller that I gave away for free because I was moving and didn’t have a place to store it. I wish I had it back now to stick a gen 3 hemi in.
Thinking it's 'bout time for the Mopar Muscle Truck to get some modern muscle...a 345/5.7, perhaps built up some (or built in stages?). Possible idea for a few episodes of Roadkill Garage: Low budget build, source a used Gen-3 Hemi and freshen it up, run it, then mods...or build a sweet Stroker Gen-3 Hemi. Can't help but think how cool would a Gen-3 Hemi with a Tremec 6-speed manual gearbox be! And with EFI and OD Trans, it would get respectable gas mileage too.
I have a 1973 power wagon, it's an old forestry service truck. It's called a camper 7500 with 360 4 speed and manual divorced transfer case. It has those same steel door panels inside, I've owned it for 31 years and not sure exactly what to do with it next.
Like the Hemi upgrade. A few too many roosters around the shop LOL I have a Loadstar with a 446 big block. Is there anything I can do to improve performance ?
I think the split bench with folding back was standard on the 75 Custom Deluxe. I have that bench seat in my 75 D100 regular cab long bed sweptside. BTW, nice barns in the background…how big are they?
That truck is very clean and very straight! You rarely see them year dodge trucks up north. I think they are just as good as the square body chevy trucks.
Great video bud! Can't wait to see this thing on the road. Its one of my favorites of the road kill garage fleet. You should go see if Lucky wants to help and just film it and call it HRG lol.
grew up with Dodge trucks. my dad always used them for work trucks. first one i remember was a 77( i think) club cab 3/4ton green longbed. the 70's front ends are def my favorite. How about an update on the Jeepster Commando hiding there?
My son became interested in cars by watching the show. He bought a 1978 Camaro and we did a bunch of work including a built 383. Well, he made a mistake and ran it low on oil taking out cam and bearings. The bottom end is good I just have to clean up the block. He lost interest and it has sat in a garage for two years.
one of my favorite vehicles you own. love the idea of modern power, but please dont change the look or stance of the truck!!! cant wait to see you power shifting her!!!
Steve are you talking about that supercharged 707 horsepower Hemi out of the general Mayhem because that would be a good transplant for the Mopar muscle truck
I like the modern Hemi idea, Steve. Its good to see some new content from you. Without RKG, your UA-cam channel is the only way to get a dose of the Dulcich!
Boring! New engine/trans in old truck. How bad can the 4spd be really, no different to a 4L60E only wait, it's a manual!
@@panagiotis1519 The Dulcich is NEVER boring sir..
@@CrossoverCustoms lol, agreed, he's not boring but the new combo he chose is.
Love you listing all the engines which just "blew up"
I am a Chevy guy, but love your Mopars and the "Muscle Truck"
Me too
I like the way you think Steve. At first I thought, just get it going. But that's boring. This truck deserves your love.
Good to see that the MMT is being reserrected! A Hemi sounds real good, and the T-56 sounds even better! Looking forward to this one, for sure. Thanks for the update, Dulcich!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Anything over 500hp makes a 6 speed pointless. You just need a 3 speed with a 4th that is overdrive
I thought someone was screaming outside of my house….then I realized it was the chickens in the video. Keep these videos coming Steve, we love this!
Thankyou for making this channel Steve!!! We Aussies have been missing you since the MTOD Jerks cut us off
i didint realise how much i missed motor trend content till watching dulcich walking around doing little updates like this! sucks being in australia an cut off from all the mtod shows i loved.
When you started talking, that combo was exactly what I was thinking. It's going to be awesome!
Man I love the mopar muscle truck, I’m a big Chevy guy but dad love watching these videos
That is going to be WICKED COOL
392 Hemi with a 6 speed close ratio manual transmission
Be glad to see that episode of ROADKILL GARAGE
Nice truck, with all the important details including groaning door hinges.
Yes! The MMT deserves better!
I had a 77 Dodge pickup with the Adventurer package. I miss that beast. Every time I see a truck that body style it brings back memories
The Little Red Express Trucks were step side trucks also. I love the step side beds and the aluminum slots look good on your truck. I'll be looking forward to seeing the Hemi install and your first drive with it.
How about a tour of that Sunbeam.
The Mopar Muscle truck has always been my favorite mopar, I can't wait to see it back on the road again
This is such a cool truck! Be a cool shop truck as this show gets going!
Personally, I always wanted to build a 400B block with 440 connecting rods and Custom Ross forged pistons, but then leave the stock stroke so it has the 2.0 rod ratio. Then put on a set of those Hemi conversion heads, that would be sooo cool.....

Mopar Super Stock rear leaf springs???
Looks great Dulcheck! The long stroke & double od sounds like a fabulous combo for a street wheeled truck!!
GREAT VIDEO STEVE!!!! I LOVE THE OLD MUSCLE TRUCK!!!! IT WILL BE BADASS WITH THE GEN 3 HEMI & THE T 56!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
My favorite automotive host. Right here!
My fav pickup on the RK garage. Would love to see the step side return with big block glory
Is that an Sunbeam Alpine, Alpine Sunbeam in front of the muscle truck? More on that please!
I like the plans for the truck... I am looking forward to the build
Reminds me of my 78 Utiline. You might have seen it at the Duct Tape drags last year. Has an eagle Hemi and 545RFE. Got it similar to yours, no dash at all and $1500 delivered. The body on yours is much nicer though.
Crop duster is amazing now Dulcich. You need a back yard paint show
Is Steve Dulcich, the most mellow dude in the world?
This should be a good series.
Gen 3 is going to be a cool build. I'm currently getting ready to 440 My 73 D200, these truck are awesome...
you're the man Steve... can't wait to see this baby move !
Be nice to see to back on the road. I am doing a gen 3 hemi in my 64 D-100
I can’t wait to see this build completed I love that truck I want one but can’t find one anywhere near me
That’s gonna be a sweet setup! Love this truck.

Can’t wait for the new season of Roadkill Garage
This truck inspired me to buy a 76 powerwagon short bed. Can't wait to see what ever you do with it. Just let us watch.
Super cool work/shop truck. Deserves some love.
Boooo! You need 500+ cubes of mopar big block and a lenco transmission. Oh and some tunnel ram too. J/k this will be a very cool idea and sounds like the mopar version of the original muscle truck. Bravo sir. Good luck and I look forward to seeing it completed
Cant wait Dulcich. Im psyched now. I really enjoy your projects. Kudos!!
Sunbeam Alpine/ Tiger right in front of the truck... let's hear about plans for that.
You'll definitely like it with a gen 3 and t56. I went 6.1 hemi with viper t56 in cuda.... original 340 car and will never go back.
You should do something with that red sunbeam. I remember the roadkill extra you did on it awhile back.
Maybe a built 318 ...?
Can’t wait! Love RKG and the muscle truck. Keep up the awesome work Dulcich
Huge fan of you. Keep it small block, put in a 340 old school set up with 6 pak. Peace from Boston.
Updated drivetrain and an old fashioned beat down. I like it Steve.
Absolutely love your channel like hearing a little updates keep them coming Steve I appreciate all the hard work you put into them so thank you
Sounds good to me Steve. Looking forward to completion! Stay safe brother.
Man I love that truck! The hemi powertrain will be awesome in there!
I’m sorta disappointed you didn’t say Motorhome 440, but I’m excited to see the Hemi!
I’m a Chevy man but I’ve ALWAYS digged the mopar muscle truck!!! I have a small block mopar and transmission out of a 80s dodge truck I’m gonna do a budget build on
Love it! Any tips on locating a grill for a 79 double headlight truck??
Nice find from the junkyard!
hey steve! im using an a833 behind my 6.1 hemi! all you need to do is trim the input shaft, get a flywheel from rylis pro. and a bellhousing from holley and you're good to go. message me if you need any help

Late model engines aren't any more reliable, it comes down to the builder. Why does he keep blowing up engines?

Thank you from Australia mate.
The slot mags are awesome on the Mopar muscle truck.
Cant wait to see/hear the 2023 update!😎
You’ll love the t56. It just Makes sense.
The Gen 3 Hemi + 6-speed sounds like it'll be great.
Would love to see an update on the leaf-blower-powered Sunbeam. 🙂
I was hoping you’d say Gen III Hemi with a 6-spd manual!!! Woo Hoo, let’s rock 🤘🏻
I really want that charger in the background! Dream car!
Love that truck lets get it breathing again waiting on the new version Thanks for sharing Steve!!!
That right rear fender would be a great opportunity to demonstrate your hammer and dolly technique.
Hell yeah!!! I didn't think you would go modern but damn if you didn't prove me wrong!
I have a 1973 power wagon, it's an old forestry service truck. It's called a camper 7500 with 360 4 speed and manual divorced transfer case. It has those same steel door panels inside, I've owned it for 31 years and not sure exactly what to do with it next.
love your videos, wish you would mike up so the sound doesn't come and go though
When are you putting a gnarly rotary engine in that Sunbeam Alpine and hitting the autocross track?
Like the Hemi upgrade. A few too many roosters around the shop LOL
I have a Loadstar with a 446 big block. Is there anything I can do to improve performance ?
Cool, nice update! 👍👍👍
Really looking forward on this Steve
Would like to see the build on the hemi , 👍🏼
Sounds like it'll rip. Any plans for the suspension, axle flip? Van control arms? Bring it down to handle with the chebs?
I think the split bench with folding back was standard on the 75 Custom Deluxe. I have that bench seat in my 75 D100 regular cab long bed sweptside. BTW, nice barns in the background…how big are they?
Love your shows Steve!!!!
That reminds me of the 73 D-100 short bed i use to own with a healthy little small block, a fox body killer.
Sounds good to me man
Gonna be a tire roaster again!!!
Can't wait to watch this go down
you'll finally be on par with fryburger's Chebby LS muscle truck 🇺🇸
grew up with Dodge trucks. my dad always used them for work trucks. first one i remember was a 77( i think) club cab 3/4ton green longbed. the 70's front ends are def my favorite. How about an update on the Jeepster Commando hiding there?
I'm looking forward to it Steve.
This is my kind of entertainment.
Thanks for the short video.
Excellent choice on engine and trans.
Hey Big D, miss ya man. $1.25 a mile has sucked on the highway fuel cost, keep up the UA-cam updates!
I'm thinking of doing that 3rd gen hemi possibly with compound turbos in a 94 Dakota
My son became interested in cars by watching the show. He bought a 1978 Camaro and we did a bunch of work including a built 383. one of my favorite vehicles you own. love the idea of modern power, but please dont change the look or stance of the truck!!! cant wait to see you power shifting her!!!
I don't know. I think I'd stick with a small block, a 360, back it with a 727 loadflight and a 354 sure grip and make it a sleeper.
Love that year dodge truck..... & a step side!!! You’re going to love that T56 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I have a 77 power wagon... i love thez trucks!
I looove that truck! Keep up the great videos Steve!
Please show us the charger in the background Steve, great vid too
Steve are you talking about that supercharged 707 horsepower Hemi out of the general Mayhem because that would be a good transplant for the Mopar muscle truck
Hello Steve! LS7! 427! Lol any content from the Dulcich is Mint!
