Thank you for your Vid :) I'm still trying to 100% understand Familiar Traits. In game, in the Traits guide, it says: You receive benefits from the active traits of your companion and bounded familiar. But patch notes says: Common Traits only apply to the Familiar they appear on, and Advanced Traits stack between your currently Select Familiar and Bonded Familiars. So if you only have common traits it doesn't stack between your equipped and bounded familiars? Or it does?
@@MiseryHatesCompanyanother poorly worded description by blizzard/netease. All traits apply as long as they’re active, whether on your companion or bonded. Common don’t stack of the same type, but advanced do.
F2P and low spenders can forget about aberrants imo. Just keep converting until you get the remote access traits. That's going to take years at the current rate.
Thanks for this video but its all stlll as clear as mud to me. I have a couple of familiars and melded one as I had to for a quest but I'm holding off on really going deep into them until I understand them better. This I can see will help but it's alot to take in.
great video. I'm not completely sure I agree about the NO MELDING strategy. I got lucky with a rare abberant with the salvage trait and a bunch of other good traits. Now, if I only need to upgrade it, isn't the cheaper strategy to actually meld ordinary pets increase their stats, and theeeeeen... use the "exchange attributes" option from Nisza to transfer the stats from the ordinary to the aberant to get the stats you want and activate your traits on the aberrant!? Does that make sense? would you agree?
Melding transfers passive skills. Does not upgrade any stats. So if you're looking to upgrade (or "evolve" as the teaser and patch notes called it), there is no such way at the moment. The "Exchange Attributes" at Nisza completely switches the attributes between the two pets. What was on one pet now is on the other, and vice versa. And costs 3k platinum.
Misery, I did not see you mention 1 important thing. You can meld any pet with any other pet. I have a yellow (main) I raised 3 blues not of the same race and melded 2 into 1 then 1 into another then used the 3rd to meld into my Yellow. When you open your meld window, if you do not have a level 30 in your inventory you can't meld. For instance you have no level 30 in your inventory, but you have several "bonded". Unbond the level 30s, then you can meld them with what ever. The higher the pet goes the more other pets are needed to meld.
After the bond is complete, you get to chose one of the 2 to be the "keeper" look at the stats on left under each pet, and pick the one with best stats.
i just suffer when see you clicking in the end pact button. Very nice video, is what i understand, but didn't know about aberrant evolve, that we only can combine them! thanks
Ok, 2 questions, what we do with aberrant pet with good traits but bad skills, can we convert and keep the same traits but get new skills ? And can we turn 6 rare skull yellow pet to aberrant pet ?
So this video was very helpful, but could still use a little clarification. So I have one ordinary yellow pet with three active traits and two grays with no active traits. Where do I go from here?
Ive been playing around with the pets wuite a bit. I've been thinking about selling my higher ones for plat to level my gems. Its such a grind with so few contracts available weekly and for me the pets don't add a massive advantage to try to grind for the "perfect" pet setup.
it adds significant value if you have a companion pet with good passive skills like legendary skills that can reset the cooldown of your characters skills example is if the pet reset the cooldown of a crusader's conjuration of light and make your whole party invulnerable again now think of all the toxic skills borrowed time, undying rage, etc crazy right?, a passive skill that prevents your character for being knockback for a specific duration of time... legendary makes it longer, a passive skill that heals you, a passive skill that gives your character a shield, and also a passive skill that can make you gain an undying rage effect every 70 secs. While on traits you will probably need multiple good bonded pets with advance active traits because they do stack up. This video only tells you about the ordinary traits yes ordinary traits don't stack but advance traits stack up, example multiple advance crit chance bonus is definitely a very good trait, percent reduce damage receive also is a good trait etc. I am not sure if this traits is affected by strife though but if not this is a lot better than legendary gems which is affected by strife and also the resonance bonus of legendary gems to damage and health is reduce in PVP due to stat compression. This guide could be better with lots of examples, scenarios and theory crafting but I guess its really hard to do it because saying something wrong can mess someone's pet which could worth thousands of plats. Giving advice is hard because you might get blame at the end and everything is really new.
@@3102nzain Thank you so much for your insight. I do hear a lot about how handy it is for PVP. However I just do PVE. Do you have any advice for which pet and which skills would be worthwhile for a PVE only summoning build Necromancer?
