Ok thank you for helping us understand such a bloody confusing mess Blizzard has made. Here is what we REALLY need to know. WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO ACTUALLY DO. And specifically, what path of actions to take for each type of player. Which are as follows, where pets are concerned: 1. FT2 CASUAL (meaning someone who just plays whenever. The least important person to guide. Because they won't be putting in the time to develop anything, let alone the complex familiar system). 2. F2P HARDCORE GRINDER/LOW SPENDER (This is super important. Many of us don't spend money besides battle pass, but play long hours, including using alts to farm platinum. So spending some platinum is ok. But it can't be ridiculous. Someone who is trying to grind their 4/5* gems to rank 5. And their 2* gems to rank 10. We need to know what to keep. What to sell. When to combine pets. I have heard that the cat is the only useful F2P pet. But that might be strictly for the super casuals. I am really lost, personally. And have no idea where to even start.) 3. BIG SPENDERS (People willing to spend serious platinum to get the perfect pet) You're the man. Please help!
@siddgang hiya great video! the first clear explanation ive seen on YT! btw if we meld or convert all blues or all golds rarity are we guaranteed the result will remain blue or gold respectively? or theirs still chance it will be a downgrade from gold to blue for example?
Sid, thank you so much this is a very clear, concise explanation and your slides really helped! Have seen all the other creator vids but you win hands down. For the next video I'd be grateful if you could touch upon what we should be doing with all the common pets we are accruing, personally I am just hoarding spirit essence as well as i don't know where I should spend it. I get the sense that an abberrant legendary pet is what we all need and that just focus on improving that? Thanks again
Very good video. I was seeing that many people were talking about not using meld but it was through the meld that I got my 3 yellow star familiar and yesterday I tried out the convert mechanism and my 3 star got downgraded to a 1 star and it's stats and size also decreased......
What is your suggestion for those who play for free? How can we earn plat? I don't want to own a pet. I would like to learn more about how I can earn plat.
I have a familiar with a purple circle in the corner but it shows no purple skill (don't think it's an aberrant). What does the purple circle mean? My actual aberrant doesn't even have a purple circle....?
Purple circle means aberrant. Legendary skill is orange. So thats the best one. & magic skill has yellow icon means 2nd best. And rare skills are blue ones. You don’t want blue skills.
The more I understand about familiars the more I hate them. You could spend and infinite amount of money and never get what you want. I'm going to sell mine and save up for when I see one on the market, so I know what I'm getting. Rng is just a money suck for whales. Sell everything once you get 5 normal yellows to access all attributes. Then buy legendary gems till they are rank 10, much better use of resources.
The familiar crafting cycle (ie part 2 of this video) - ua-cam.com/video/SCqO7LWA7dI/v-deo.htmlsi=5BBVdbtBdjt9dFil
Honestly a 100x more informative than all the other DI youtubers. Looking forward for the next one.
Brilliant tutorial - thanks

Can you make a guide for best 1 and 2 star gems for barbarian
How much money did you spend to create the pet you sell? I wonder what the real money cost was to you?

Up to 6 traits only?
You mean per pet?
@@ktjohnsonlai oh yeah per pet. Should have mentioned that specifically
