He’s got one powerful voice - he can transition from singing to dialogue so smoothly that you believe every word he says! I predict that this production will have a very strong and long run! Now I can’t wait to hear the voice of Christine!
This is footage from around 2012 I think and this certain production (Australian) has been gone for a few good years. The whole movie and most of the scenes are up on this channel if you would like to see Christine and others
Great performance, different vibe than Ramin, who puts a little more pop into his rendition. Side note: Phantom in LND is a tenor and Phantom in the original is a baritone…😂 Still Webber is a genius and Phantom is a major dream role of mine.
They're both baritenors. Phantom in the OG is a legit high baritone/low tenor and LND is the same but you need a rock tenor extension AND a sustained low G.
I’ve been a fan of POTO for quite a while, and when I heard about LND, I wanted to check it out! While I did enjoy Ben as The Phantom, I personally enjoyed Ramin’s version of this song a little more. Nothing against Ben at all! He’s phenomenal performer, I’m just more of a Ramin fan.
Though to be fair - this wasn’t filmed with intent to release so he may have half assed it. I thought he was much better live. ALW changed the production between West End and Melbourne.

Unfortunately your prediction is wishful thinking. Ben has had to retire from the stage because of his sick wife.
@@michellekeeling3392 I was not
Yes Ben has retired to care for his wife ; his voice is breathtaking and his acting hauntingly beautiful ❤️
Maybe because I’m older now and I appreciate his performance more ❤
My favorite LND Phantom.
just popped up and I clicked immediately lol
I still miss POTO and LND 😢😢😢

Michael Crawford was a tenor though
Ben is definitely a baritone lol

@@hasandilber9451 Yes, but he could darken his voice to a light baritone. Its pretty noticeable in the live recordings.
Fantastic musical !
Beautiful✨
great voice
1000000000000000/10!!!

The Phantom sounds older in Love Never Dies
Love Never Dies takes place 10 years after the events of The Phantom of the Opera.
@@vastro921i know that I was comparing Ben’s Phantom over Ramin’s
He is 10 years older. Thats why Christine has a 10 year old son.
Duh
This reminds me of Jacks lament
Is this the third upload of the same song

Nope I don’t envision the phantom as ethnic as Ramin, always a white one as it should be.
He was all wrong for LND. He was too Dracula-like and his acting was flat, especially when Christine died
