My friend took a complete blood test from.a reputed Lab and went to a diabetician. The doctor simply dismissed the report and directed my friend to take the test from a lab which he choose. It was another thing that the parameters were more or less same. When my friend confronted the doctor, he shouted at him and said he believed the test report of that particular lab and if my friend wanted to be treated, he has to abide by his words only. My friend said to hell with you and came out. The icing of the cake is the charges for test at the lab recommended by the doctor was almost 75% more than what the reputed lab charged. Nowadays the doctors are more relying on machine analysis than ysing their strength of clinical analysis. Moreso when they prescribe medicines, they caution they purchase it pharmacies and not ftom Govt sponsored pharmacies giving the generic medicines. They simply say those medicines are useless.
