Maybe the scratch s just a piece of lint? What also bugs me is that the set screws around the headphone jacks are not symmetrical that is they are rotated differently. I now see a scratch under the "m9xx" on the front. someoneshootme....
I see this amp/dac is available again... Honestly, at $500 I was hoping to get a dac/amp and also and a/v receiver at this price point. Would someone like myself, who is not an audiophile and who currently is driving Sennheiser PC350 SE headphones but is wanting only a decent to high quality media center be overshooting with such an expensive purchase, please?

They have different connections and for different purposes. Scarlett is for inputs to computer, the m900 is for outputs from computer; they would be connected with the computer as the middle-man. Microphones to Scarlett to computer to m900 to headphones. The closest way I can think to do it would be by their usb, it would be a work-around to connect them together, yet possible; I say because I was able to play music on the m900 from my android phone by usb, if that is possible, maybe also other ideas.

I'm having hard time setting this this up, can you help me. I pluged one use to the power and one to the pc, i installed the driver and im getting no sound from the m9xx.
The m900 has its own settings, I switch the knob to U or U1/U2, and it fixes my problem. When I switch devices, the m900 automatically reverts to a different setting, so I go to set it to U or U1/U2 when I connect it to a new device.
