Those bubbles are trapped moister. Good practice to heat the metal up a little before cleaning it off for its first coat.

Have to gas the metal out after you clean and sand everything completely clean! Prep is everything with this

Soak the header in muriatic acid for and hour or so, the rust will be gone and it will look new. google it

VHT is definitely better than Duplicolor. Have never tried Rustoleum header paint or "bbq grill" paint. Some people swear by Rustoleum's grill paint, LOL.

What you should of done was screw a bold in and hang it from that bolt. Or blot and nut at the manifold end. Pick a bolt hole that will be hidden by a header. Looks good mate 👍
