I don't think we'll see GameCube on NSO at all. They already have a status quo for GameCube games on Switch and we've given them zero incentive to break from it.

@@tbone8612 What's missing from that position is what incentive they would have to choose an NSO model for GameCube games instead of the full release model that has been consistently very good to them.
If Metroid Prime Remastered, Pikmin 1+2, Thousand-Year Door, etc had done badly, then I could see the case for it, but as it stands, they'll make more money just packaging them as full releases.
I think it involves GameCube but I'm just guessing lol...
Maybe a less harsh version of the comment about trying to stay relevant: A lot of this info can be condensed into a 4-6 minute video. The second half always gets very repetitive.
We all know about UA-cam's watch-time-and-engagement-addicted algorithm, but for these kinds of videos, I actually highly value getting all the news and info in a much shorter video I can watch while I'm out. If they are 10 minutes long, I usually have to wait to get home to watch them properly and a lot of the time I don't watch them at all, since other channels do make 3-4 minute videos and even community posts/memes and I get my news way faster and easier that way.
Keep going, man. You have the quality and consistency AND upload speed. Shorter NEWS videos would just be appreciated.
Of course, if there is a long discussion to be had about a topic, I'm all for it.

Old stock to clear probably, and it works because I bought a 4th switch to get the hyrule edition last month haha. Paint blank shells, add guts, profit, but in this case, it's release old tech for new console that will also likely carry over to the next console.
GameCube being added would be amazing. So many good titles.
They also released a statement saying “What exciting content is coming to Nintendo online and expansion pack members? stay tuned” so I think it’s very likely happening.
Hoping Virtual Boy, Wii and Wii U come too eventually
I just wish they'd put their entire catalog online as a subscription.

I want Nintendo to make an official Pro controller (or at least one with the standard button layout) that has octagonal gates for the thumb sticks. I loved it on the N64, GameCube, and Wii!
I wish they’d at least make it an option to have a regular controller with them too, and not just be stuck having to use the reissue N64 or one of the PowerA or Hori GameCube ones, since the button layout isn’t compatible, or optimal, for many modern games.
Also it’s a bigger deal for me because I have young onset Parkinson’s, and so being able to “lock-in” a direction is really helpful in improving input accuracy. Trust me, I’ve sent a *ton* of emails to Nintendo, as well as some 3rd party manufacturers, and even gone as far as offering to pay for them to commission a custom order for me with said modifications. At this point I’m just basically shouting into the void now in a comments section😢

Or would you at least like the option to have them easily available without having to resort to DIY methods (not even an option for me, Mr. Shaky over here, lol!), or having to go on Etsy or something to find an after-market one that somebody used a sander or Dremel tool on to carve it out, with varying levels of effectiveness, I’m sure.
(Side Tangent: I feel like the calibration would definitely be thrown way off by removing the plastic and adding all that extra space around where the original gate’s borders used to be, instead of the proper angles being incorporated into the same existing smaller, natural circle of the joystick’s gate. Like how it’d be if they manufactured an official one with all the design aspects being made while bearing the need to compensate for the shape/angles in mind, thus also allowing it to keep a similar range, or “zone” for which the controller was originally designed and intended to be used within.)

Put switch in handheld mode, hold power button and choose restart. While the switch is restarting put the switch back in the dock (with the GC adapter connected). When the switch is back on your GC adapter with GC controller should be wkring again...
If the Nintendo Gamecube is coming to Nintendo Switch Online these are games that I would LOVE to see coming to the Gamecube library: Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, The Legend of Zelda The wind Waker & Twilight Princess if they're never have remakes, Viefitful Joe, Wario World, TMNT Mutant Melee or Battle Nexus 1&2, Kirby Air Ride, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness & Colosseum, Starfox Adventures, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart Double Dash! But if the Gamecube never comes to NSO I wan't some of these games to get remakes like The Windwaker & Twilight Princess, Wario World, Kirby Air Ride, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness and Starfox adventures let's hope the Gamecube is coming to NSO2 for the Switch 2: Here we GOO WAHOO! 😆💜

Having Gamecube on NSO is very impractical, no matter what side of this you on on. First off; the games starting with the gamecube generation became larger in file size (gigs per game); that having an app on your system and then a bunch of games downloaded all at once (like it is for the rest of the NSO games at this point) through that app; will take up alot of space on what ever Nintendo console you are playing on. Then there is the idea of streaming these games to the system instead; to reduce the space they would take. Whlie the games are older; having the install base of Switch users stream those games potentially at once (and the internet being a finicky thing that it is); will ensure connection, input and general lag issues; to where it will affect the enjoyment of the game as well as the overall accessiblity. I don't care what anyone says; game streaming will never be as viable as owning the physical game or at least having it completely downloaded to your system.
Nintendo is better off approaching gamecube and up; the same way they have been this generation, by picking and choosing specific games to remaster or port and giving us the option to buy them (which they should be doing with every game in the NSO library; outside of the games that 3rd party devs have already gave us through other collections. I don't know why people continue to support NSO in this model, beyond the base service of allowing us to play online.
Also, we have already had many types of gamecube controllers for the Switch this generation, ranging from quality to moderate quality 3rd party gamecube Switch controllers; to re-issues of game cube controllers from Nintendo themselves as well as both wired and wireless (8bitdo grbos) adapters that let us use authentic gamecube controllers on the Switch. How am I supposed to be excited at the idea of a wireless gamecube controller with the offical NSO branding on it? Unless the thing works as a split joycon that can be attached to the Switch itself, and even then it's a worthless function for those of us waiting for the Switch 2.
