Such an awesome variety of shades and textures in all the different leathers. Just beautiful! I also really loved hearing about the ways you use them - definitely great for moments when I'm in a journaling rut and need some inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
Jus a fyi, the train, plane, hotel and records set was not a us exclusive, it was worldwide, somewhat limited but available in all the shops that wanted it. Like the more recent tokyo set.
Yes that’s true! I misspoke even though I know that 😂 The pressure of recording always gets me to fumble. however, it feels like no matter what they release, tends to feel like an exclusive worldwide because of how hard it is to get them after release
Great video! My olives are my favorite cover color followed by the brown. I love seeing how you personalized the covers and showcased how your covers aged. Thank you for sharing! 💖🫶🏻
I like the newest Tokyo Black version a lot, but absolutely the best one is the Kyoto in blue. They need to make more Passport size ones that are good. That Moomin, still drooling over it, so cool, yet so expensive.
I agree with more passport designs!! I’m excited to see what the first Olive design will be in the future! They are bound to make one in olive. I hope to get the Kyoto TN in person one day!
The one in the records is by Lauren Phelps Design. It was made for another passport sized notebook. I just recently purchased TN insert covers from Sarica Studio! They are better fitted for TN inserts! They have standard and passport size.
I noticed how you had sewn on patches on the standard olive. How did you sew them on? It seems like the leather would be difficult to puncture. I’d be glad to hear how you managed this. 😊
The patches are sewn on! I am lucky to have a friend who works with leather and he hand sewed every patch. It was very tedious and tough to make every puncture so I’m really grateful for the work he did! Definitely not recommended for it to be a first timer leather project 😆
Love all the covers. I have recently fallen in love with Traveler’s Company and more so after a recent trip to Tokyo. Can I ask how the patches were attached. It looks like they are sewn on? How was that done? I have gotten into collect the rarer covers and have recently acquired the Traveler’s Record’s cover from an Etsy seller.
Yes they were sewn on! I asked a friend who does leather work and he hand sewed them on. Baum Kuchen offers a service to sew patches on to covers, it is $15 per patch. I just had a friend find a local leather repair worker and they were able to sew a patch on to a TN cover for $18 CAD.
In the beginning they were all active and had some kind of journal in them. Now I view them like jackets hahah wrapping around my journals/inserts depending on the mood ☺️ I’ve learned I like the system best as my project or collection journals. For example I have a journal for stationery stores I visit and when I meet my stationery friends. I have another one where I document coffee shops, and new beverages I order. Sometimes I keep finished inserts in the covers to keep them full and to flip through from time to time.
What are your thoughts about the upcoming collaboration with TRC × Goldwing? Im definitely going to try and score one, but I fear it's going to be competitive 😅
I really like the design! The black TN and gold foiling is always a good combo but I really like the direction of the design they went with. I personally don’t think I’ll pick it up. I don’t know anything about blackwing nor do I see myself buying/using their pencil. I almost wish I was a sketch artist so I could connect with the collaboration more 😆 I think it would be a great one to collect though!
For standard TN sized notebooks I have not. I enjoy the sewn inserts by Travelers Company. I have no tried a TN sized bound book journal that would require me to get a different cover. I do purchase leather covers in other sizes like A6 and B6.
@@jeffreyclayman6922 I’ve purchased from Elysian Paper (I have videos on them) and enjoy their quality! The customer service at Elysian Paper is outstanding. @@jeffreyclayman6922yes to all of those except X17! Gilio and Van der Spek are out of my price range, I hope I can at least feel what one is like from someone else. If you like those, take a look at Shiliu (only sold through YvonnePlans on Instagram) they are more affordable than Gilio and Van der Spek, different leather as well but I see many of their customers frequent the same shops.
I’m still looking for a the camel Records passport that doesn’t cost $600 🥹 was just new to travelers at the time of the release and didn’t know it was special edition until it was too late. Still hoping I can walk into a partner store somewhere in the world and they’ll have a hidden stash!
Ahhh thank you for sharing your collection! I love the passports and I like the idea of using one as a wallet.

ALL THOSE IN 1 YEAR?!
Woooowwwww~ what a great collection !
I was very fixated on TN covers 🙈 I’m definitely slowing down now. Just waiting on a black! At this point I hope to stick to a one in one out.
@@journalwithjas they're so beautiful it's hard to pick ~
Im so happy to see a nee video from you. This video makes me want to get more covers 😂

Beautiful! Lovely to see them all!
Wowwww….I love your collection. So beautiful ❤ and your friend is super nice
Thank you for sharing your awesome and beautiful collection!! 😃
What a beautiful collection. 😍
Lovely collection! May I ask where you typically find used TNs?
There are buy/sell/trade groups on Facebook! I also check Mercari Japan and eBay! Etsy is also a great place
I'm loving the geeking out here ❤
Really well done ❤ now I want to go shopping 😅
The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
Nice collection! Love it ❤
Thank you! 🤗
Where do you get your clear covers for your inserts? Like in the record journal? 😍

My passport Starbucks TN camel came basically looking like a dark brown 😭
It’s so wild how different they are every time out of the box!
Are you planning to purchase the new Blackwing collab? It’s black!! If so they just went on sale..hurry! No pressure. 😂
I think the design is so nice!! But I’m still holding out on a theme I relate to more.
Does the Narita airport one in black come in a standard size?
It does not. The black is the passport exclusive and the brown is the standard exclusive for Narita Travelers Factory.
Is your 2017 olive tn taller than your other standard?
It’s the same height
