Her art is always sweet and dangerous, creepy and alluring, catchy and strange, simultaneously mainstream and underground. For me it's her combining opposites and the tension between them that makes it so interesting and thought-provoking.
I've always been blown away by her writing. Her lyricism is so refined and precise, like sculpting stone with water. The same goes for her performances. She is an artist with the word, the music, the theater, and the visual art of all of her music videos. She is supernatural. And this song is right up there with her best ones.
I cannot believe that through my decades with 4AD that they still find immaculate art. Aldous is just immaculate art! A wonder and a heart break. Blown away by this amazing artist! Just incredible!

Listening to this project over her last ones, it seems the quirkiness in the voice inflections etc are not happening on this album as they were in the past either.

I watched this video on loop a year ago and find myself returning over and over again. "Do you love me?/Again/Again in the morning in the light" has got to be some of the most devastating lyrics I've ever heard.
I was lucky enough to see her live in Atlanta on Saturday, and all I can say is if Aldous comes anywhere near you do what you have to do hear her live. She was incredible.
