Thanks for the video. I'm interested to see what your picks are. In 2018 we stayed at Seethrough Mykonos, overlooking Platis Gialos beach. It was a bit of a hike to walk down to it, and it isn't the best beach in my opinion, but the hotel itself was lovely, and run by a friendly family. I chose the area because I had stayed there when I went in 1991, but man has it changed! Back then, there were mostly small "pensions" dotting the area, with lots of undeveloped land between them. My fondest memory was catching a late bus from a nearby area, being dropped off near our pension, but having to walk through a residential area in pitch black, to get to our pension. I'd never seen so many stars in the night sky!
Thank you for these amazing videos, love your content! My husband and I are coming to Greece for our 25th Anniversary, planning to do Santorini & Mykonos. We are not interested in wild beach parties, what beach area would you recommend for a couple in their late 40s?
For our honeymoon in September we are staying at a hotel that is not in the mentioned areas, but we chose it because it is completely vegan. ❤ Koukoumi Vegan Hotel.
I stayed in Mykonos town at the Harmony Boutique Hotel for a few nights back in May 2023, short walk into town centre and easy access to the water taxi to the ferry port
as a Mykonian I kind of disagree with you. Although the green areas seem to be the best they are also the reason Mykonos gets some bad reviews. The northern areas especially the beach of Ftelia are amazing (thsi is why there are 3 of the best all day restaurants there ) and they are not crowded as Ornos, or Psarrou or Platy Gialos. As a result you enjoy the island at its best, views are amazing, they are not crowded, they benefit from good road infrastructure and you can be literally everywhere within ten minutes at most

I’m hoping to come in early October, as two couples and wondering if the water taxis to the beaches are still running ?… I’m also trying to decide on area and actual hotel ?.. choosing whether to splurge or not… I’ve looked at Taggo Hotel ( not cavo! ) and then Mykonos Grand and the two Mykonian Chatuex Relias hotels … need advice 👌🏻

Is there a restaurant in Athens (Plaka neighborhood is a plus but not required) that does plate breaking for lunch?
Not that I know of, no. But Naoussa tavern in Santorini does it :-)
