Can you do an up cycle with a difficult fabric like silk? I love going to the thrift store and finding quality fabrics that would otherwise be pricy but I don't trust myself to alter them for fear of ruining them 😓
That last top 😯🤯 I’ll definitely try to recreate that one. I have several plain boring slightly oversized tshirts I never really use - this could be a cute way to upgrade and use them instead of just buying new pieces!

A really cool way to both reduce grey in your wardrobe and go on an adventure would be to try out natural plant dyes (like walnut or indigo)! I'd love to see you give it a go!

Dip some grey pieces in a dye bath? If the color is intense or bright enough it can look really cool in my experience.

What kind of dance do you take? I'd love to see some diy dance warmups, like wrap sweaters or legwarmers, etc.
The best thing is you can make your children’s clothing from birth on, when you have them. My grandmother did that for her 13 daughters. Your family is so blessed for all the skills you have.

Maybe you should get a tube turner maybe not but you definitely need a bodkin. I bought a bodkin and it changed my life. sometimes there is an invention that changes the world and for me it is a bodkin (and a tofu press).

That tube top is so cute! I have a t shirt I bought at the thrift store cause I loved the color (it’s rust) but I don’t love the t shirt itself so it may be becoming a new top now. I’d make thicker straps for me though just because I like thicker straps. I’m not much of a spaghetti strap kind of person.
Could you try to do this same idea but with zip on and off sleeves and go from crop to full shirt with a large zipper. Maybe even use bright colorful zippers 🤗

Even though I may be older than most of your viewers, I love your ideas and how-tos which help me with alot of projects! Question: Sewing a straight stitch on knit? I thought that was a big no-no. Once stretched wont the stitches break? So did you use a small stitch length and higher tension?
