Worth noting that in 5.1, EQ+ is now latency compensated.
Yes, I just learned this! Thank you for mentioning it.
i just bought Bitwig, and that is very reassuring!
The interactive help functionality in Bitwig is actually bananas, what the hell
For compensating that EQ+ latency instead of using TimeShift you can just put another empty (no bands added) EQ+ in parallel channel, which would delay it at same amount 👌
Also, although it works well for demonstration of why having one parallel channel delayed can be a problem, you have it exaggarated with EQ+ because there's highpass filter in it 😅 but either way, using non-linear phase EQ in parallel can be a problem in itself, as it will affect phases between bands and cause some cancellation when summing. Just something to be aware of, if you can't figure out why it may not sound right to you no matter what you try. At the end of the day if it works for you even with all these quirks, then I believe it's artistic choice to go with it.
Great video man, you're really selling me on making the switch.
kick ass track, dude 🤩
I'm so glad I found your channel through Benn Jordan. You're fun to listen to while being technical. Not an easy task. Also, love Bitwig. Linux native DAW and it kicks butt. Love it's automation features.
Hey thanks for watching! I'm enjoying the fresh air from the switch.
hey friend since you like comment, here you are one...thanks for the tip as I used EQ+ all the time, mainly because that it has the function o comparing frequences with an other device and I found this really useful, EQ 5 doesn´t.
heeeeeell yeah
found you randomly nice videos man going to buy Bitwig hope its good investment Cheers
i love DAW DIVERSITY lol appeciate you GARDNSOUND
We learned some Gardnsound lore: binding the hair releases the gremlin energy.
When you want to parallel process 2 tracks you can use EQ+ in the FX track, thus you will not have any latency.
right on.
Can you do a comparison video of polysynth vs drift? I like how both of them sound.
I have no intention of switching to Bitwig but I like these videos
Mistake
This track is a banger. Is there any place to hear whole track?
Yup! I also just posted a music video on my channel to go with the song
Oh man, the EQ+ latency thing. I'm permanently afraid of EQ+ now. But sometimes it actually becomes a feature, when you're just throwing notches around trying to obliterate a signal, the phasing makes it even more complex. More destruction, less work!
Honestly they might want to change the name to EQ Destroy. People might be less angery on forums.
i think the deal is not that big.. if i need parallel processing, i would choose one of my other 300 EQ´s ;)
Sorry, but this one is unwatchable because of the difference in volume between your voice and the "music". Not only it's huge, but the music is very piercing and annoying. Please use better and more balanced examples.
Jesus christ dude who pissed in your cheerios?
lol limiter go brrr
look who´s talking??w hahahaha
@@lefaurexavier1447 why does it matter "who"? you disagree with what I said?
@@Artek604 hey friend for me the sound was not good good but really enough to understand everything...but I go sometimes on your youtube page ( and did learn things) but you are SO difficult to understand , so obviously your comment made me laugh...no big deal dude, take care!
