so, wrote a long comment about the context of eika on the last video, might as well do the same on here for anyone who isn’t familiar with the source material but is curious - Satori so, Satori Komeiji is the fourth stage boss of the game Touhou 11: Subterranean Animism. She has the ability to read minds with her third eye (the red eye thing she has in this mod). Within touhou’s lore, she’s widely hated by most she interacts with due to her mind-reading abilities, albeit quickly befriends animals due to it breaking the communication barrier. In the mod, this aspect of her character is represented through the focus on charming tears. For tainted satori, it’s not based on anything official albeit there’s a few things it may be based on, namely a certain infamous doujin involving satori ending up wheelchair-bound or a webseries by the name of “wheelchair detective satori” that i haven’t actually watched and only have a vague knowledge of. - The Items All the items in the mod reference the abilities of different touhou characters, with most being pretty self-explanatory

A few other details for next time: -Satori's third eye is its own passive item called Psyche Eye. -Tainted Satori's ability to mow over enemies is available as another passive item. -That mecha can actually be found in secret rooms, albeit rarely and surrounded by lock blocks and pillars. -The mecha can walk over spikes. -The fairies from the Spring of Daiyousei can be found in the heaven-themed secret room on occasion. Item References include: -Ying Yang Orb is obviously owned by Reimu Hakurei, with the act of it bouncing around bringing to mind the very first touhou project game, where you hit a bouncing ying yang orb to hit cards above. -Marisa's Broom is... Marisa's broom, naturally a witch's broom to fly with. The mushroom pickup effect may reference Marisa collecting mushrooms for her brews. -Dark Ribbon belongs to Youkai of Darkness Rumia, with her area of darkness being a passive ability she uses during the day. -Spring of Daiyousei summons fairies that are based on a one-shot character from Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, commonly name Daiyousei. -Rainbow Dragon Badge is based on Hong Meiling, whose fighting style is close ranged in the fighting game spinoffs. The item is a badge based on the one accessory on her hat, which features the chinese word for "Dragon" on it, while rainbow is based on her danmaku; specifically, the Rainbow Wind Chime spell card. -Koakuma Baby is based off Patchouli's familiar commonly known as Koakuma, with the bookworm transformation effect reflecting her status as a familiar to an actual bookworm. While never prominently featured in canon aside from her oneshot appearance in stage three of EoSD, she's been commonly called that by fans and considered her own character like Daiyousei.
There's a new character for the mod, Seija the Amanojaku. I recommend showcasing them last, as the tainted version is yet to be complete, and she affects the highest and lowest quality items, including a few items not yet showcased.
Apparently to allow the progress you need to defeat Mom without mods at least once, and after that you'll be able to unlock stuff with the mods activated

hey i have a question why when i install a mod disables progression (i cant progress unlock character etc) an is a way to enable progress?
