I discovered TF2 thanks to Touhou (without realising) and I discovered Touhou thanks to TF2. First there was this guy who made reviews and one day he uploaded a short gameplay of a game, but some character models where replaced with Touhou models (I didn't even knew what this characters were at that point) the game looked fun and I downloaded it. Playing Freak Fortress in one of the rounds the boss fell of the sky surrounded with fire while a catchy song played in the background... I loved the character so much that I passed 2 weeks trying to find where she was from, until one day while whatching an animation (Chirumiru) I saw her, she appeared like for less than a second kicking another character off the screen. Thats how I met Mokou and therefore Touhou.
Man, everyone who's known tf2 and touhou were inseparable for more than 10 years knows that Suika and Demo would be the best of drinking buddies. The literal oni and the man who's blood is more alcohol than water.
Suika is an Oni. Not a Goblin. Right? That’s what people told me back when I was younger, Suika is an Oni. I would still love to see this become a series that can bring both TF2 fans from the west and Touhou fans from Japan & Asia together, just like with Capcom & Marvel that spawned the “Vs. Capcom” franchise.
